  The owner of the company, Ilan did my mothers roof 2 years ago. He listed he did it with permits but it does not show up on the city website of LADBS, and I am under the impression he never did the work under the right conditions. The house has had multiple leaks and areas in the roof has not been addressed. Flashings are missing all across the roof and the roof was not installed correctly to meet todays codes. A area of torch down was not changed, chimney has just mastic on it instead of a flashing around it. My 64 year old mother had her entire insulation changed and now the water has went down from the roof onto the wood underneath, down to the insulation, and now has made cracks to multiple areas of drywall on the interior ceilings. Ilan has not reached out to me after multiple times of us addressing the issue to him. I would not recommend anyone to use this sketchy roofing provider and any of their crews that have very little knowledge of how to correctly install roofs. I do not value their work or their communication. I hope that they will address the issues and fix the roof or else I am going to go towards legal action.

  I wouldn't ever use Top Roofing because they are negligent and not trustworthy. Our experience with them started in 2021 when we had a contract with a roofing company called Green Living to re-roof our flat roof. They had subcontracted the work to Top Roofing and it was a disaster. This whole experience has caused at least $10K worth of damage on our house and now we have to re-do the roof again for another $16K. Top Roofing is a Certified Licensed Contractor (an LA city program) which means they can get construction permits faster and cheaper, but then they have to do the work themselves. In addition to doing the work themselves, according to the rules, they must do their own inspections, and no LADBS officials are involved. LADBS told me Top Roofing had pulled the permit to do our roof. However, they passed the work onto random people and those people did a terrible job. At the end of the roofing work, the owner of Top Roofing Itamar (Marc) Ravid came to our house for the "final inspection" and told me the new roof was great. He was lying to me and of course I didn't know any better. He smiled at me, signed off on his little piece of paper, and left. After 18 months, about half of the seams (~ 36 seams) of the flat roof had failed because they were not torched down properly, with no tar bleedout to mark areas that were adhered. Also, the flashing was not primed before torch down and the roofing was coming off the flashing in many parts. These were mistakes that any professional roofer would have easily avoided. Not to mention, for a real roofer, they would have been easy to see during and after completion. And they just left a bunch of garbage in the attic, water bottles, etc, you can see one in the photo. Because roof leaks aren't always easy to spot right away, this botched install started a year-long process of water damage and mold growth (which wasn't at all present during several inspections that year) in our attic.   I bought my house in Sherman Oaks in 1997 and while I was out of town on work for a couple months shortly after moving in, El Nino hit. Fortunately, my garage (which was storing much of what I had that wasn't in the house) was the only thing that suffered damage, Unfortunately, most of my mementos were destroyed. I reroofed, and now almost 30 years later, with rumors are that El Nino is making a return visit, I thought (since we had suffered minor leaks during some of the recent rains) it was time to reroof, so I put Yelp to work to find me some people to interview. I picked five for the information I could glean, asking few questions, since I knew opening my mouth connected to a brain that knows little about roofing, would be a bad idea and also seeing if people were helpful with their explanations. Everyone (maybe except one) was personable enough for me to think I could work with them, but much of the information was kinda the same thing (although I noted some improvements in roofing since 97 that were useful to ask each about). The prices were more or less the same, and close enough that I knew I could find a point that would be roughly around the general price for them all, so it wasn't money. It was rapport and ultimately who gave me the greatest sense of trust. And. I learned, information that no one else told me. Roy, with Top Roofing was the ONLY one of the five that I saw who discussed the solar pool heating on my roof with me; each of the people I met with went on the roof. Not one other person mentioned it, and if you have solar panels on the roof - it's a consideration in doing the job. When I called the others who'd come to the house to say I'd made my choice and asked why I picked someone else I told them this - it was determinative that one person told me this was a job that needed to be done in addition to the roofing. He hooked me up with a solar heating company, he'd worked with before and I got on the phone with them and felt reasonably satisfie

  We contracted Top Roofing to do a complete reroof of our home: a mostly flat roof with clay tile. They offered a competitive price for superior materials vs some competing bids we received. They finished the job quickly and the roof looks great. Overall we're happy with the result and would recommend them.

  I rarely review, but Top Roofing deserves one. Great personal service, perfectly priced (I got three quotes) and impeccable job. I requested a quote on-line, got a response within a few hours and Adir was at my house the next day. He went far above and beyond to help me with separate skylight and gutter issues, and he sent his crew back to do a second cleanup to make sure we were happy. Best communication of any contractor I've hired. Very highly recommend.

  Roy Rabinek definitely did the extra mile in my roofing project. He was the only one to state that my drip edge must be replaced due to rodent entry. Roy and his team did a genuine job and stand behind their job. I’m very happy with the results and my new roof! I was waiting for it to happen for years. The communication and everything else just went very good. They cleaned up my back yard and connected all my new bathroom vents back. They sent all the photos and the price is by far the best I got. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  I found Top Roofing on Yelp as I was looking for a full roof replacement. I contacted a number of places, having found them via Yelp or through referrals. All the bids were similar in price, but I found the proposal from Top Roofing to be the most detailed in terms of the work. Roy met me at the residence, conducted an inspection of the roof, and then spent about 20 minutes walking me through the state of the roof, what he noticed that wasn't ideal/or done right, and how he would address them in the replacement work. I appreciate his thoroughness and taking the time to explain the project. In terms of what stood out about Roy and Top Roofing: - **Great communication** I received clear communication on when the job would start, an update on progress each day (along with photos and videos), and updates on details like when permits were getting pulled and when inspectors were coming by. If I had any questions throughout the process (starting from after receiving the proposal all the way to after the work was done), Roy responded promptly via email and text. - **Timely and professional** Roy clearly laid out what the project would entail, when the job would start and likely finish, and completed everything according to the timeline he shared. Our project included removing the old roof (2 layers) and then replacing with a completely new roof. The project started on a Tuesday and finished on a Monday (6 days total). All in all, I would recommend Top Roofing to others. They are the first contractors I've had a good experience with, especially when it comes to communication, professionalism, and organization. When spending boatloads :) of money on your home, the last thing you want is to have to deal with a contractor/company that doesn't do what they say, leaving you anxious and annoyed.
