Update 2024: well after 5 years I discovered the hot mop failed at some point. Have to have the shower demoed and rebuilt. :( Reply to owner 2025: I see there are still other past reviews referencing Empire Remodeling and Design in this thread, which is who my work was through. Makes me wonder if the old owners have just started a new business with a different name? What is your CSLB license number? I don't see it listed on the new company's website.

If you're looking for Los Angeles roofing experts, I highly recommend Golden Empire Roofing & Construction. They helped me through the entire insurance claim process, handled all the paperwork, and made everything stress-free. The workmanship was excellent, the crew was professional, and my new roof looks amazing. Best of all, I only paid $500 out of pocket for a brand-new roof through my insurance claim. Highly recommend!

I was looking for a professional roofer in Sherman Oaks. So we had some crazy storms a few weeks back. So I was looking for a local Sherman Oaks roofing company and I’m glad I found Martin. He was very professional from the start of the roof project to the finish they cleaned up after themselves. They did a permit. He flew a drone, which I thought was really cool. I’ve never seen that before. We had some leaking areas with the roof was very old so we ended up replacing it. We have a full warranty 50 years were ecstatic with the service we got if you’re looking for a roof repair company or construction I would not hesitate to call Martin.

Cool Roofs: Lowering Your Energy Bill Making the right roofing decision starts with good information, not pressure from a salesperson. In this article we look at cool roofs: lowering your energy bill, focusing on practical guidance you can actually use. Energy & Ventilation questions come up often, and the answers are usually more straightforward than homeowners expect. Start by understanding the condition of what you already have. A professional inspection identifies small issues, such as worn flashing, lifted edges, or minor leaks, before they turn into structural problems. Catching these early is almost always cheaper than waiting. Climate matters too. Intense sun and heat age roofing materials faster than many homeowners realize, while sudden winter storms test seams and drainage. Choosing materials and maintenance routines suited to the local environment extends the life of the entire system. When it is time for professional work, ask for a written estimate that breaks down materials, labor, and warranty. A trustworthy contractor will walk you through the options without rushing you, and will be licensed, bonded, and insured. If you have questions about your specific situation, a free inspection and estimate is the best next step. Our team serves homeowners and businesses throughout the region and is happy to give honest, no-pressure advice. https://losangelescaroofrepair.com/blog-post.php?slug=cool-roofs-lowering-your-energy-bill-564Jul 18, 2026Learn more
