Think twice about using Tier-One for a roof repair. I had small a leak at my old house and called them because they had an employee that live in the neighborhood. The roof salesman inspected the leak and immediately tried to sell me a new …

I am not following what you are saying, I see we did a roof repair for you almost 2 years ago.

I do not fault Tier One for the delays in performing our roof repair--delays caused by (probably) a tornado snd definately by rain-- but I DO fault Tier One for their poor comunication. May 24, 2025 Tulsa Rock and Mineral Society paid half the ammount due for a job. Today is 19 July, 2025 and we still do not have a date for the work. I was first contacted in June with a date which would not work for us. After I called them again a date was set for 14 July. That day came and went with no Presence and no phone call. While their work may be exemplary their Keep In Contact skills are NOT.

Warning to Homeowners I had an extremely negative experience with Tier-One Roofing, and I want to warn other homeowners about their deceptive practices, negligence, unethical behaviors and attempts to withhold my deposit for work they never started. Despite being fully aware of my personal struggles, including my recent cancer diagnosis, they inflicted unnecessary financial and emotional hardship on me and my family. Here’s what transpired: 1. **Deceptive Misrepresentation of Insurance Coverage:** They falsely claimed my insurance did not cover full roof sheathing replacement, even though $8,000 was allocated for this purpose. This misleading information influenced my decision to sign their contract under false pretenses. 2. **Unprofessional and Incomplete Contract Practices:** Tier-One failed to provide a detailed estimate or scope of work, which is standard in the industry. Instead, they attempted to shift the responsibility onto me, asking me to create their estimate and scope of work. They also failed to disclose critical contract terms before I signed, including clauses designed to protect their interests over mine. 3. **Pressure Tactics and Potential Fraud:** They pressured me to endorse my insurance claim check directly to them without waiting for proper endorsement from my mortgage company. They insisted this was “industry standard,” which was false, and their actions could have led to potential fraud. 4. **Negligent Work That Made My Roof Worse:** The only work they performed was installing a temporary tarp, but they used cap nails that were too long, puncturing my roof decking. Worse, they didn’t seal or caulk the nail holes, which caused active leaks and additional water damage to my home. I had to hire another contractor at my own expense to fix their mistakes. 5. **Fraudulent Attempts to Collect Insurance Payments:** Without my consent, Tier-One contacted my insurance company and mortgage lender, falsely claiming the project was complete and reque

******FALSE INFORMATION****** Heather Reynolds, you filed a claim with your insurance company for your roof, Your insurance company only paid for a repair. Your insurance company gave you $982.97 but your deductible is $2617.00 so you received $0 dollars for your claim. We dont work for free, we require a signed contract before we put in hours of work to fight an insurance company. We put together a 58 page packet and sent it to your insurance company on why your roof should get bought by insurance, and we met the adjuster 3 different times to get your roof bought by insurance, and we did! Because of our team we got your insurance company to pay you $15,277.70 and $7,049.24 for code upgrade, for a new roof and decking. totaling over $22k. Once you received your money, you then decided to start finding ways to get out of your contract and to keep your insurance money. You also stated: "The only work they performed was installing a temporary tarp, but they used cap nails that were too long, puncturing my roof decking. Worse, they didn’t seal or caulk the nail holes, which caused active leaks and additional water damage to my home. I had to hire another contractor at my own expense to fix their mistakes." This entire paragraph you wrote doesn’t make any sense, 1 inch cap nails is what you are supposed to use. Nails have to go into the decking, you don’t paperclip or clothes pin a tarp to shingles. You don’t caulk over cap nails on a temp tarp either.

First-let me say the problem is not with the roof, the install team or the quality of work. Jacob and co did a great job as far as that goes. The problem lies in what happened AFTER. They gave us a bid for our roof, we agreed to the price listed. Submitted a claim to insurance, who paid a portion, and we, in turn, paid Tier One in full. 6 months later, we received a second check from our insurance company for our additional claim (which we did not make) re: the roof, to the tune of 20k. We called the insurance only to find out that Tier One filed a claim on our behalf for an additional 20k worth of charges. I understand that sometimes you start a project and there are unexpected charges. But if there were charges over and above the estimate, we should have been notified at time of service, or at least in the immediacy after...not via a surprise check/second insurance claim 6 months later. What would have happened if my insurance hadn't covered it? What will this do to our insurance rates? They are now expecting to come collect this check...would we have been expected to come up with 20k MORE than we were bid if insurance hadn't covered it?? This smacks of insurance fraud, and we've been made the dupe. Highly disappointed in a company that I had previously been proud to recommend.

Thank You Susan!.... We can NOT file an insurance claim for you. On Home insurance claims they do NOT pay everything at once, your first check is called your ACV check. (this check is missing your, depreciation, deductible, code up grade, PWI items, and is also missing supplements).... This is why you had other checks 6 months later, they were your recoverable depreciation, your PWI items, your code upgrade, and your supplements...... Sometimes it takes insurance companies 6 months and even longer to close a claim and pay the remainder.... All of these things are normal to most insurance claims..... This is briefed by your roofer, your agent, and also your adjuster and was written in 2 different documents you signed (1 of those documents had it hand written again just to reiterate there will be multiple checks to your insurance claim).... when your roof was complete we sent your insurance company a 27 page detailed packet with all of the work performed by Tier One Roofing. Your adjuster only approves work performed by looking at the pictures and the codes to ensure it was done right.... Sounds like one of your concerns in this review was:... "who would be responsible to pay this claim"... the answer is your insurance company. We work with your insurance adjuster to put your property back to pre-storm condition. Even the software we use for pricing is called "Xactimate" this is the same software your insurance company uses to price labor and material.... If you have any questions or ideas on how we could have done better please feel free to call us.

I called them to come and look at a small roof leak we had. The first question was what insurance provider we had. I explained it was a fairly new roof (5 years old) and that this wouldn't be an insurance claim or an entire new roof. Their technician arrived on time but again, the first question he asked was who our insurance provider was. I explained again that this wouldn't be a claim, it was a small repair on a fairly new roof. He talked over me and tried showing me multiple "leaks" in our roof. I pointed out the exact spot it was leaking, and offered to bring him in the house where I had removed the sheet rock to show him from both sides. He quoted me $1,250.00 as he was walking back to his car. I got on the roof myself and fixed it In 20 mins. It was a decking clip that had been bent during the re roof and worked its way through the felt and shingles. They were only interested in filing insurance claims.

We ask for your insurance because We are a storm restoration company that works with insurance companies for storm damage on roofs. But we also give free estimates for repairs and replacements. The contractor who came out to your house was there to give you a free estimate. You always have the right to call other contractors and compare estimates for your repair. Who ever installed that roof more than likely would have came out and fixed it for free if your roof is only 5 years old.

Stay away!!! I love the idea of supporting a veteran owned company, but I will be more cautious in the future. First off, I was promised that all pipes and covers ( including sunroof) would be painted the same color. All were except the sunroofs and now they stick out like a sore thumb. I was told that they ran out of paint. Then I was told by another person that he would personally take care of it. 12 days later, nothing. Second: The first time it rained, I had a major leak. tried to contact Justin but took over 3 hours to get a call back. They came to repair the leak but the next time it rained, same leak! Played phone tag (AGAIN) they did get it fixed this time. I was told that they would pay for damages. I told Justin it ruined a brand new case of air filters @ $60. Have yet to see that money. Third: Was told that if I referred them to someone that I'd get $100. I unfortunately referred them a family member. I have yet to see that money either. Fourth: When I paid them for my family members roof, I asked (on a Tuesday) if they could hold the check until Friday. It was agreed that it would not be cashed until Friday. They cashed it on Thursday and I received my first overdraft in 3 years. Thanks for keeping your "word". Overall, I have been promised many things and not much has been delivered on and if it has, it took 2 or 3 tries on their part. I respect them for their service of our country and will always try to use vets in the future, just not these guys. I'm not sure where the disconnect is but they have way to many issues with follow up and keeping their word.

They came highly recommended to us by our neighbor. They called us back right away and got an appt scheduled to come inspect our roof. They gave us a timeline and agreed to call us back. Two weeks after no callback, my husband reached out several times and no response. I then contacted another person at their company- he apologized and agreed to call me back with some answers. No call back. I then reached out again, and same thing. We wanted to utilize their services but their customer service is poor with failed promises and lack of follow through.

We ended up with a ton of damage during the May hail storm. Elijah and Tevin deserve 5 stars but I docked a star due to the project manager Justin rushing and not really communicating plus the team that did the work did an amazing job but accidentally broke our walkway leading to our front door. Elijah tried getting assistance with the main office and was met with crickets. Even with the one star docked I would still recommend this veteran owned company. I myself and my husband are veterans so we always feel confident using veteran owned businesses.
