Our last record of contact from you was 10 months ago, at which time a technician visited your home within 10 business days of receiving your warranty claim form. We unclogged your gutters and widened your downspout holes at that time, all fully covered under your lifetime warranty. If you are experiencing a new problem with your gutters, please call our office and our lovely service coordinators would be happy to schedule someone to visit with you.

  Waited several weeks for an appointment. Roofer called stating an emergency and needed to reschedule set appointment for following day. No problem. Following day approaches no show no call. Called office which was nice, however not accommodating in getting a roofer out in timely fashion do to their employees scheduling.

  My wife and I were in need of a roof replacement. So, we spent time shopping around and getting different quotes. Eventually, I came across Tidewater Roofing. They sent Homer Gurganus out to give us a quote. He was very personable and polite. He gave us a reasonable quote compared to other quotes from different companies. So, my wife and I agreed to use their services because of Homer's great customer service, the price, and eagerness to replace our roof (surprisingly, my wife and I had this problem with other companies). However, this is where the pleasantries ended. The first sign of poor communication arose when it came to paying the down payment for the services. I waited over a week for someone to contact me to make the down payment. I eventually had to call them. I'm not sure if this was a misunderstanding on my part or a lack of communication on Tidewater Roofing's part. Either way, I was happy to start the process to replace our roof. Once the down payment was made, I was told that the production team would be in contact with me to schedule the roof replacement. I understand that this process could be longer due to a large number of jobs or could be delayed to weather however I figured someone would contact me within a week. I waited over a week and called them back. I was told that the production manager will give me a call. This continued for nearly two months. I was told either the production manager was on vacation (everyone deserves a vacation and that is not my issue) or he would call me back each time I called. Eventually, I emailed Homer about the issue we were having. After contacting Homer, my wife finally got a call from the production manager to schedule the roof replacement. On June 9, 2022, the roofers showed up at our house and proceeded to work on our roof. They worked exceptionally hard throughout the day to get the roof finished. For the most part, the work looks great however there are some issues with a few spots. I included a picture

  We apologize for the experience you had with your roof replacement. It is our understanding that our project manager is already scheduled to visit with you to inspect and address your concerns with the installation. We also understand that extra costs are never ideal, for both the customer and for the contractor, however it is our responsibility to protect our customer's home when we have their roof exposed to the elements. Our contracts clearly state a price for wood replacement should we run into rotten decking, and says that we will immediately proceed with the needed work. We cannot stop or delay work to wait for additional approval as approval has already been given upon signing the contract, or else we'd risk additional damage to our customer's home by leaving the roof open. We could possibly have done a better job explaining this before work began.

  Our phone lines were briefly down this morning if that is when you called. Otherwise, it's very possible we were all on the phone at the time of your call. Our voicemail box is constantly monitored and calls returned quickly, but we do not have a voicemail from you.

  I wouldn't recommend this business. After the work was not done properly, they wouldn't respond. I called the salesman, no response. I called the office, no response. I recommend you deal with a reputable company.

  Initial TPO flat re-roof install looked good. Couple years later called in for a warranty because it started to leak. Had to call multiple times for someone to take a look at it. When roof inspectors finally arrived, was immediantly told it was a existing gutter issue and that it would not fall under a warranty. They mentioned that they would provide me a quote to get it fixed. Never heard back on the quote. Was surprised they were fast at dismissing the leaking roof as a gutter issue. Will not be calling back.

I do apologize that the service team seemed dismissive when explaining the issue was not caused by our roof and that you haven't received additional communication since then or your quote, as someone definitely should have followed up with you by now. You mentioned calling multiple times to be scheduled--Our system shows you called us 3 weeks after a major named storm to report your leak and we had a technician there within 2 days of your original call. Following storm events, all companies in our industry become inundated with hundreds of calls for service and immediately become "understaffed," so a 2 day turnaround is really quite impressive.

  Very nice people and right on time for doing the estiment, but they never emailed it. One week later I called and left message with estimator with my phone number an haven't heard back from him. ??????

  Am very pleased with the roof which was just completed. They were easy to work with and wanted to please us which was wonderful. Dave Evens our construction supervisor was a dream to work with throughout. I highly recommend Tidewater!
