  Contacted them several times to try to arrange someone to come measure for us so we could proceed with ordering. After 3 weeks of minimal response I've given up and gone a different direction. A simple note letting me know they were too busy to take on new customers would have saved a lot of frustration. Instead, I didn't hear from them until I pulled the plug.

  We used The Skylight Guy for our master bathroom installation this spring and are so impressed with the quick communication, fast scheduling, quality materials and workmanship. Johnny knows his product and trade backwards and forwards and Tara is a pleasure to communicate details with. Well worth the investment!

  I don't know where to start and in an extremely positive way. I was not convinced about getting skylights in the kitchen and my husband convinced me. I honestly cant say enough about Tara and Johnny. The communication with Tara was speedy and constant. Johnny came and looked at the job. He explained everything to me, the pros of 1 skylight vs. 2 etc. He was very informative and honest with me which I LOVE!!!! Johnny spent a few days in our home ALL day long working so hard to get this job done and making us happy. We were so happy to have Johnny in our home, he was so friendly and clearly a family guy running his business. Some days him and I would sit on the couch and just chat about life. It was open, it was real and it was not what you expect from a contractor. It was AWESOME!!!! Tara in the background kept the job going, kept me informed and made the whole process clear and fluid. They were recommended to me by the roofing company and all I can say is we are so happy, words just cant explain. My husband is very hard to please and he is extremely impressed with the job, the clean up and the finishings. I can honestly say that if you are looking to have skylights installed, fixed or replaced, do not hesitate as this company is amazing. In fact, today my kitchen cabinet guy was over discussing things and even he made a comment by saying "wow they sure did and amazing job on your skylights, it looks fantastic". If anybody wants more information reach out as I will refer these guys until the end for the knowledge and job that they brought to our kitchen!!

  Very happy with my new skylights! Johnny and Tara coordinated with my roofers to do their install at the perfect time, and even stepped in to do the flashings when the roofers realized that they were short on materials. Process was great, and results are perfect.... Couldn't be happier! Thanks!

  I had a new solar tube installed today…and am beyond happy with the product and service I received from The Skylight Guys! Their attention to detail and level of professionalism is outstanding….I highly recommend them!

  Great company! Replaced our leaking skylight - Very informative alongside showing us all the photos of previous install and the issues. Very polite and professional - Can't recommend enough. Went above and beyond on the replacement ensuring it was done properly.

  Can't say enough great things about Tara and the crew from the Skylight Guy. Tara's communication and professionalism are unrivalled and I so appreciated her help when things didn't go as planned with the roofers. While many roofing companies claim to work with skylights, I have learned that you need to go with the experts and Tara and Johnny are the best.

  We are very pleased with the skylights and sun tunnels that Johnny and his crew have installed in our home. Communication by Tara was great, she is very responsive and the team was great to work with. We will definitely be reaching out to them in the future for any skylight/sun tunnel related needs!

  We had our skylights leaking earlier in the year when we got a freak storm in April. We called these folks up and Tara was excellent to communicate with and had Johnny come out and look at our problem quickly. As our skylights were original from 20 years ago the recommendation was to install new ones. Johnny knows what he is doing. We had called couple of other companies as well and some of them suggested methods of installation which was questionable and really made us question if they know what they were doing. This guys are specializing in skylights and do install as per the velux method you see online too and offer 10 years product and install warranty. We went ahead with the new install and paid 50% deposit. It did take about 3 weeks to get the new skylights and then they send wrong blinds so had to push our install by couple of weeks more. Tara was excellent with her communication through out. On the day of Install Johnny and his son did an excellent job and quickly installed one and then had to pause due to weather and Tara scheduled them to have come again 1st thing in the morning on Monday and they good it done v.quickly. Johnny even went to the roofing place taking our shingles with him to make sure he color matches, really appreciated that attention to detail. Our skylight and blinds look awesome and the rooms are definitely much cooler than before. They do get very busy so definitely recommend to reach them out sooner (early in March or April) so that they can fit you in during the summer months. Hopefully we never have to use the 10 year warranty

  I am sorry you felt we were not enthusiastic and lacked details, we never want a customer to feel cut short. We had over 150 calls and did 15-19skylights a day to help people in Calgary not just cover but replace there units. The Velux skylight is an amazing product and speaks for itself, 10 year hail is great for Calgary! We are happy you’re pleased with the service, hopefully we can work on giving everyone extra attention and not forget the important details! Stress free skylights that’s what we all need! Enjoy the new skylight and thanks for the 5 stars, for small family businesses it makes a difference

  Johnny and his crew have replaced 11 skylights for us in the last couple of years. Most recently, in May 2023, their skill and expertise shone during the replacement of a bank of 8 skylights. Their work was thorough and careful. Cleanup was great. We were amazed at all the work involved to remove and replace. They did all work with a ready smile.
