  Customer service was good at the initial quote. Then there were numerous delays to get me actual numbers. I allowed them to do the work and “not touch the siding at all, just the roof.” Now my siding has horrendous black squares on it to hide the damage that they did to it, claiming it was the only way to do the roof right. Then they claimed to send me an invoice and photos, which I never received. Upon telling them that, they emailed a new invoice immediately, all without calling me to discuss my unhappiness toward the repairs. Months passed after they said they would contact me if they did not hear back from me after a trip I was taking out of the country. I received no invoices or follow ups. They contact me to say they would be going to a lawyer about my unpaid invoice. I then searched and found the one invoice that they sent after I told them they did not send one and paid, telling them I never received any other communication. Rather than accept my payment and move on, they made excuses and false claims. Their customer service went as bad as to have them yell at me over the phone because I was so displeased with their work. I truly wish I had chosen any other company to fix my roof leak.

  Never even got a call back about scheduling an estimate. Left a voicemail on Saturday, spoke with a receptionist on Monday and never received a promised call back. Disappointed because was told they do good work. Maybe they’re only Harford …

  They did 4 estimates and only give me one estimate and won't let me see the itemized list. This makes me feel like they're shady so why should I go with them??? And they are sky high. I'd need their estimate for my attorney but they only give me part of the estimates.

  I hired them back in November to fix a leak between my house and the garage roof. Paid them around $ 2000 to fix that and some other stuff on the roof. About a month later, the original leak was still there and one other spot. Contacted …

  Non responsive, doesn't return phone calls and doesn't show up for scheduled appointments. Went to Home Depot to have the job done.

  I used Tar Heel Construction 12 years ago on a previous property. Nothing has changed over the years, they are still a great company to work with. Price was good for the roofing I wanted, all of my questions were addressed during the sales process and scheduling the job was super easy. On the day of the install, Tristan and his crew arrived at 630 as promised. The crew got to work tearing the old product off, and prepping the work area for easy cleanup. During the job, we received a pop up thunder storm. The crew took care to cover the unshingled roof and even cleaned up blowing away debris while it was storming. Once completed, the guys picked up all the trash and ran magnet brooms over everything to pickup nails. Tristan himself even scrubbed my concrete driveway on his hands and knees to remove a couple tar marks from throwing shingles off the roof. Tar Heel is perfection when it comes to getting a new roof. Prices are competitive, but its their excellent customer service that makes the experience worth it and stand out above the rest. Thank you Tom (sales), Allison in the office, Tristan and his crew for going above and beyond on the install and Ryan for completing the post job inspection. I appreciate the quality work!

  We needed a roof inspection for insurance purposes. Tar Heel came out quickly and did a fair inspection. They didn't try to sell me any services that I didn't need. It was great to work with an honest and fair company. Highly recommend!

  We contacted Tar Heel Construction to get a quote for a new roof. Mike came out on August 4th to look at the roof, take measurements, and emailed the proposal for a new roof and new gutters with guards that day. The cost of the project was way less than what we anticipated, plus Tar Heel Construction included replacing the roof on our shed to match the house at a discounted price, so we decided to go ahead with the project. Tristan and his team came out on August 12th to install the new roof on the house and shed. The team did exceptional work, replacing 4 pieces of plywood on the house and 2 pieces of plywood on the shed due to water damage. Tristan was great with sending pictures and communication on the progress of the work throughout the morning. The project only took a 1/2 day to complete. The team did an awesome job with the cleanup process, you couldn’t even tell they were here replacing the roof. The next day the gutters with guards were put on in about 2 hours, again, the cleanup was great. Ryan came by later in the day to do a final sweep checking for nails, screws and debris with a giant magnetic roller…going through the grass, sidewalks, driveway to make sure everything was cleaned up. Ryan also checked the finished project and answered the questions I had. I would definitely recommend Tar Heel Construction for your roofing and gutter installation. The company is top notch and great communication.

  From the quote to the sale to the install, every member of Tar Heel was on the money. Dalton was my sales rep. He was thorough and very upfront about the fact that I did not really need a new roof. However, Tar Heel being a GAF certified installer was worth it for me because in one sense, this is the most expensive and cheapest things will be for the next many years, so I might as well get it done. The install team was on time, efficient, and cleaned up well. The project manager for the day was in contact with me often during the major phases. He even made some recommendations to strengthen our roof based on some future projects we wanted to get done at the house. All in all, great company and I highly recommend them.

  Absolutely amazing customer service. Had a minor issue with one piece of siding hanging off and they were able to fit us in same day for the repair. Cannot thank Tar Heel enough. Will be calling in the future should we have any issues. Thank you!

  Had wind damage and damaged siding. Tar Heel did initial patch and quotes for new/replacement siding and followed up with insurance to get project approved. I was out of state (landlord) and this made the process much better overall.

  Our roofing project was completed about a month ago and I keep admiring what a beautiful job Tar Heel did. The new roof has clean lines and looks so crisp… it gave our home a completely new & much improvement look! Overall we are impressed with the quality of work Tar Heel provided and are thrilled with the final results!! I cannot speak highly enough about the shingles crew. I was blown away after the one day installation. They were extremely efficient, the roofing looks perfect, the project manager, Chip was very helpful throughout the day and the clean up was amazing!! I was highly impressed with the preventative measures they took to aide clean up efforts (tarps everywhere!), the continuous scouting and collecting debris and then the final cleanup work made it difficult to tell a crew had just finished installing. Shockingly, they weren’t done, the next day a second cleanup session was done to ensure it was good. A third sweep was done when the dumpster was fetched! Gutters went on a few days later, they made the new roof look even more perfect and again, the crew was great. Then we had the metal roofing installed on the porch. The crew here worked very hard in terrible heat and did a great job overall. I did see a couple of spots where I wanted them to adjust/tweak and they came right back out addressing the minor concerns I had. Issac was extremely kind and helpful throughout the entire process. He also made the adjustments and it looks perfect! Lastly, pricing was a factor in who we hired but we didn’t end up going with the lowest quote. We were impressed with Tar Heel from the start and a decent chunk of that was because of how helpful and down to earth Dalton was. I harassed that guy throughout the project and he was super helpful and kind the entire time! Thank you Tar Heel - we LOVE our finished product! The house looks SO much nicer, I find it hard not to stare at it now!

  Awesome job! Had roof replaced in June. They did a great job. Hard workers. Cleaned up the job nicely. Couldn’t tell they had been there. Would not hesitate to use them again! Roof looks great!
