  We unfortunately had a horrible experience from start to finish. The work was not scheduled in the timeframe I was originally given (customer service was snarky when I followed up on a start date) and communication across the board lacked and was often rude. After our roof was repaired, four weeks had passed with 0 communication from them regarding completing our other repairs. I had to continually call and check in for anything to get done after that. There were several times I was told the work would be done this week or next week… which did not happen. Every time I would ask (because THEY told me this week or next) I was told they were unsure and needed to speak with the Foreman. One day I was promised they’d be out to replace my gutters. They were a no-show and I wasn’t even notified until I called to inquire that afternoon, causing me to waste a day off of work. The contract stated all grounds would be cleaned thoroughly at the end of each work day, which did not happen 2 of the 3 days of work. They even left EASILY over 50 nails all over the side of my home and backyard. We have dogs and this was careless! The person who came out originally for the estimate included incorrect size materials in the contract. The wrong siding was also provided, causing further delays. When my gutters were replaced I had concerns with the roof. After speaking with the owner on the phone, he assured me that either himself or his son would come to my home the following day to look over the job “to the nines.” Neither one came the following day, in fact it led into the following week. The owner showed up with no ladder and told me he couldn’t get a good look at it without getting on the roof. He didn’t look at anything else that had been done and even went as far as to say that my roof possibly already looked like this PRIOR to the job being done, which it in fact did not.   Goss installed my roof. But there was an evaporation installation problem. They gave me a per hour quote and then ghosted me. No phone call back. I called them at least 12 times. Never a call back. So very disappointed. And every time I called i was told Mr Goss was not approving it. I have no idea what that means. And neither did the front office.

  Hired for gutters and covers, fascia and soffit, and leaking chimney/roof repair. I thought they did a good job initially, even though they had to come back three times for crooked trim and bent gutter covers. Nine months after they "fixed" a leaking chimney with new flashing and mortar, the mortar started to fail and the roof was leaking. It was a circus trying to get it repaired, even after showing pictures of the cracks in the mortar. The owner, his son and employee "tried" to fix it. It still leaked. I gave up after the fifth email and had someone else repair the mortar. Also found the shingles were never glued back down after the flashing had been installed. Sloppy work and lip service follow up. Asked for a partial refund...nothing.

  There are no negative reviews here because if you post one, the owner will personally call you, yell at you and threaten you if you don’t remove it. Early this year, I got an estimate for roof repair. I knew I had a leak in the front of the roof. The estimate was quite high but it stated that repairs were also needed in the rear of the roof. I decided to go forward. On repair, Mr Goss advised the rear of the roof did not need repair after all, only the front. He refused to adjust the price. I did not pay the bill right away. Within two months the front area repaired was leaking again. I called and was told I would receive a new estimate for additional repairs. I posted a negative review. I was then called and threatened. I removed the first review in fear. I have decided to repost the review in the hopes that no one else will be victimized. I will follow through with the BBB and Attorney General Consumer Affairs Division. I have now paid my bill in full as Mr Goss would not negotiate a reduced fee. I will be working with a new roofer to resolve the continued leak. Mr Goss’ reply is a complete lie. I disputed his bill immediately after the work was done. I placed a BBB negative review to try to resolve being deceived and overcharged by Mr Goss. He persuaded me to withdraw the complaint. Naively, I believed that he had made a mistake as he told me and he also told me he absolutely guaranteed his work. I received no further bills from him. Again, naively, I thought since I had disputed the bill and then been nice enough to withdraw my complaint that he was not going to bill me. I received no further billing statements from him or I would have paid him. When I called him two months later to report that my roof was still leaking, he said I would have to pay for repairs. He threatened, yelling at me, that he would sue me in District Court. I asked if we could negotiate the bill since he had done only half the work. He said no. I offered to pay $500 out of a $750 bill whi

  Hired them to do a complete new roof install. Now we have major leaking and water damage inside our home. They refuse to stand behind their installation. We have resorted to insurance claims and litigation. Beware! They do not stand behind their warranty! ****The response from the contractor is filled with false information. *** Update! After several calls to Greg Goss with no return we finally reached him today. Only to have him act completely unprofessionally and yell and curse at us. Unbelievable. Do not hire this contractor!

  GJ Goss recently came out and replaced the roofs on my garage and home. They quoted me a fair price and had completed work in the neighborhood previously. The new roofs both look great and the staff were very easy to work with, From Mr. Goss all the way down to the gentleman who had only started a few weeks prior that came out to show me shingle samples. GJ Goss gets my recommendation and I look forward to working with them again.

  Family-run roofing contractor. All were excellent to deal with, from first contact, to initial visit, to price quote, and through the whole process. Great communication and very flexible. Offered a fair price and did excellent work! Very pleased with the final outcome. Would definitely recommend Goss for roofing, etc. Top-notch work!

  After hail storn hired Goss to replace damaged roof and aluminum siding on 1 side of house. Roof was done quickly and replacement siding color matched when other companies didn't want to try to replace aluminum. Work was done within cost estimate of insurance coverage

  Goss replaced the roof. They repaired and replaced fascia and soffit. They replaced gutters and downspouts. Everything was done in a timely fashion. Everything was completely cleaned up. The project was done at a fair price. We’re very happy with the results.

  I was concerned about the condition of my roof of over 50 years .I was recommended to GJ Goss Contracting by two close friends who had a very good experience.From the beginning of the process it went very well prompt on time for intial inspection .A estimate was provided with indications of further repairs may be necessary after removal of old roof.Upon removal of old roof this was the case ,we were invited to look and inspect it for ourselves in which we agreed with the additional repairs.We greatly appreciated that we could look for ourselves at the roof and spend a short amount of time to decide how to proceed.All repairs were done to our satisfaction and work area was cleaned up very well.The roof was inspected by Goss within a week to check for quality.We were very happy to work with GJ Goss as they helped us out greatly.Keep up the good work.Flo A.

  Overall, we had a very positive experience with our siding and gutter replacement. I was very happy with the work that was done on my home. I did a little change up with adding board and batten to the top part of my siding and it turned out great. I was very happy with the drawings and how I was able to change colors and see what my home would look like. I also was super happy with my new black gutters. Their teams that came to my home were very professional, punctual and worked efficiently and cleaned up the job site perfectly every afternoon. The finished product looks beautiful and completely transformed our home's curb appeal. The only feedback is ----room for improvement with returning calls during the process.
