Getting to hold the actual snake and slate samples made the decision easier, we ended up going slate for that older classic look. The crew kept at it without a lot of standing around and the roof turned out just how I pictured it. Yard was clean when they wrapped, no strays nails or scraps left behind really pleased with how the whole thing went.

had a leak that kept coming back no matter what. finally decided to just replace the whole roof and these folks did synthetic slate for us. no more leaks and the house looks way better. best roofers in Westmont from what i could find when comparing quotes. install was clean and fast, the new slate looks like the real deal without the crazy weight. really glad this is done

We ran into ongoing leaks around the chimney and the previous patches never held. After getting a few opinions in Westmont, we went with a full synthetic slate replacement instead of another repair. No leaks since the install was finished and the roofline looks a lot cleaner than it did before.

solid experience start to finish. roof was about 22 years old and needed to be done. we looked at real cedar and real slate but the cost was rough so we landed on synthetic. brava product, shake style. install crew was professional, music wasnt loud, no cigarette butts in the yard which has happened with other contractors. they tarped the bushes before tearing off the old material which i didnt expect. job took longer than the original estimate by about a day because of weather but they communicated it ahead of time so it wasnt a surprise. the finished product is genuinely impressive, looks like real wood from any distance. office staff was easy to reach when we had questions about the warranty

Old roof had been patched too many times and we were getting nervous every time it stormed. Went with synthetic slate for the full replacement and the difference is real. No more stress when wind picks up, no more checking the attic for drips. The new roof has handled some heavy rain already.

We had been thinking about a roof replacement for a couple years and finally pulled the trigger earlier this year. Went with synthetic shake because we wanted the cedar look without the maintenance that comes with real wood. The sales process was low pressure, the estimator measured everything himself and gave us a written proposal with two material options to choose from. When we were comparing quotes around Downers Grove, theirs was the most detailed by a wide margin. Install took about four days. The crew was efficient and the cleanup at the end was thorough, they swept the yard for nails before leaving. The finished roof has a nice texture to it, not flat looking like some synthetics. Color holds up well in different light too. Pricing felt fair for the type of product.

Our old asphalt shingle roof was in rough shape. Granules in the gutters all the time, and after a storm last fall we started getting water near one of the upstairs windows. Patching wasn't going to cut it anymore. We'd been curious about …

got a full synthetic shake roof put on and its a major upgrade. the material looks so much like real cedar its kind of crazy, the color variation between the individual shakes gives it that natural look. everything around the edges and valleys is really clean and tight

first impression was solid, the person who came for the estimate was on time and didnt try to upsell us on stuff we didnt need. they looked at the roof from the ground and then got up there to check things closer which was good because the last company we talked to never even went up. once we agreed on everything the timeline they gave us was accurate, they started when they said they would. the crew was pretty efficient, they had a rhythm going and it was clear theyve done a lot of these synthetic shake installs. during the project they kept the driveway passable which mattered because we both work from home and still needed to get cars in and out. the final result is a roof that looks like real shake from the sidewalk and even up close its hard to tell the difference. the color has some variation in it that gives it a natural feel

started thinking about replacing the roof last fall and finally got serious about it in january. looked at a few companies but these guys had the most experience with synthetic materials which is what we wanted. the estimator came out and spent a good amount of time looking at the roof from every angle, not just a quick drive by quote. we went with synthetic shake and it took maybe a week and a half from the first day of tear off to final cleanup. crew was out at our place near Clarendon Hills every morning before 8. they kept a dumpster in the driveway and loaded it as they worked instead of piling stuff everywhere. the new roof has this really clean cedar look that works well with the rest of the house. scheduling and communication throughout was simple, no chasing anyone down for updates

I can truly recommend them. We replaced our whole 4,700 sq ft roof with a synthetic roof. They gave a fair estimate, kept things moving, worked carefully. All in all a very good experience.

There is a version of barrel tile roofing that does not require you to reinforce your structure, worry about hail damage, budget for freeze-thaw repairs, or track down matching replacement tiles years after installation. That version is a synthetic Spanish tile roof, and Brava produces one of the most visually and technically accomplished products in this category. The design work starts with the appearance, because a composite barrel tile that does not convincingly replicate the warmth and profile of authentic clay defeats the entire purpose. Brava's panels are engineered to reproduce the characteristic curve, the surface texture, and the warm color palette of traditional Mediterranean clay tile with a level of detail that makes the finished roof genuinely impressive from any angle. The composite construction then delivers on performance in every area where clay falls short. Lightweight enough to install without structural reinforcement on most homes, impact-resistant enough to handle hail without cracking, moisture-impermeable enough to perform through freeze-thaw cycles without deteriorating, and stable enough to hold its color and shape for decades without any maintenance. If you have always been drawn to the barrel tile aesthetic but held back by the practical complications of clay, a synthetic Spanish tile roof is the answer you have been looking for.
