  Used them at my old house 2013. Roof was great. A lots changed in 10 years apparently. Used them for a roof on my new house. Two leaks from penetrations in my now new roof. Berg came out for 4 callbacks and each time had an excuse. The final “we can’t help you” excuse was that I had a condensation problem. Even though the moisture around the penetrations ONLY was there when it rained and was dry a couple days after the rain regardless of outside temperature. I had 3 different attic insulation companies out and all 3, within 10 minutes, were able to look around and determine the problem was roof leaks around penetrations and not condensation. Use Berg if you want to pay thousands for a leaky new roof and have them boilerplate responses to get out of fixing them.

  We had a new roof & gutters installed 2 years ago. When questioned about the warranty the owner Tom Pierce was incredibly rude & very unprofessional! In spite of having a PhD, Tom felt the need to define what a noun & verb were in an email. Seriously? I’ve never been spoken to before by anyone let alone a lay person like this. Unacceptable & very derogatory. May I discourage any home owner from securing ANY work from this vendor. Questionable work standards & unprofessional communications- warrant all to search for another vendors who are kind & professional.

  Berg Home Improvements did an excellent job on replacing our roof after the July 27, 2026 tornado that went through Downers Grove. Bob was wonderful to work with, very assuring, and accommodating with paperwork from our adjuster. Would highly recommend. Workers were courtesy and respectful of our property.

  Didn't get any work done by them but Joe and Tom came around right after a storm. You're typically skeptical when someone rings your door asking to do a roof inspection. They checked and confirmed all is good with the roof and shared photos for my records. Appreciate the honesty and professionalism.

  We needed a roof replacement and were looking for a company we could trust. Berg Roofing did a great job on our roof from start to finish They delivered exactly what was promised at the price quoted, with no high-pressure sales tactics. We also appreciated that they provided a list of local homes with the shingle colors we were considering, which made the decision much easier. Working with Nick made the process simple and stress-free. He was responsive, kept us informed about scheduling, and clearly explained our options and pricing. On installation day, the crew arrived right on time, worked efficiently, and left the property spotless when they were done. Their workmanship was impressive.   John Oros and his team did an awesome job installing out whole house windows. From the very start of the project, John was very helpful and knowledgeable in advising us on the design and options available to us in choosing our windows. He was always available and took care of any issue immediately whenever one came about. The installers were very meticulous in the work they do and installed every single window and trim perfectly. We are very happy with the work they did and would not hesitate to recommend Berg Roofing and Windows for your home projects.

  We had the roof, skylights, gutters, soffits and fascia replaced. Our contact at the company, John, was very knowledgeable from the first time he came out to give us a quote. My husband specifically wanted a ridge vent across the entire length of the roof and we had a situation at the corner of the house that required a bit of ingenuity with the gutter. Berg sent three different crews to our house due to everything we were having done. Everyone on site was courteous and thoroughly cleaned up the property when they were done. My husband has been a carpenter for 33 years. He originally started out building houses and had high expectations for this project. If he was satisfied then I am satisfied! Please note that the amount of money we were quoted is the amount of money we paid. There were no hidden charges. Communication with John was very easy. If I had a question while the crews were on site, he responded to me almost immediately. I will definitely recommend Berg home services in the future.
