  We used sure seal for some insurance work on our moms house for some storm damage. we had first got an electrician to give us price for the electrical it was 1200.00, we didn’t know who to get for the roof and siding work and was told about sure seal, he never gave us a quote just all we would have to pay was the deductible. Well when his price went to insurance it was 2500.00 for electrical and we told him we were quoted 1200 from electrician, he tried talking down to us by saying he had to get permit (they already knew this), I told him I understood as a contractor he needed to make some off the electric bit 1300? He basically said why should u care all u are going to pay is the deductible. Then when his worker was there putting siding up, it started to rain and he said he didn’t have anything to put over the nails and stuff to keep from rusting so my brother told him he could put in the open garage. Next day sure seal contractor same as accused us of trying to steal his materials which his worker moved not us. I would not recommend this guy at all. the work wasn’t great. We were glad to be done with him. We recd the last insurance payment on 8-27-2024(today) he isn’t willing to wait for us to deposit check and pay him he says if not paid by end of today he will file a lien against the house. Is this the type of person you want to use.

We take pride in our transparency and, when a client’s insurance company is involved in a project, an insurance adjuster is sent to the jobsite along with a Sure Seal project manager wherein both pricing and the scope of work is prepared and agreed upon. Also, our payment terms are communicated to all of our clients and are also contained in the contract. Nevertheless, we take all of our customer reviews seriously and will use this situation as a learning experience in the future.   Outrageously expensive! I told them that their bid was three and four times higher than multiple local competitors. They really didn’t seem to care. Received a $5000 bid for materials that can be purchased at Lowe’s and Menards for under $50.

  Edit 8/2/23: To tell the entire story, I asked Sure Seal Contractors to come out to give a quote for siding and gutter repair. Derek came to my home on 6/30/23. He looked over everything and then told me he would get back in touch with me within a week, maybe two. Eleven days later on 7/11, I emailed Derek asking for an update on how the quote was going. I received no response. On 7/24, a full 24 days after the initial walkthrough I emailed again asking for an update on the quote. At that point, Derek finally responded telling me that the quote was still not ready, but I would get it soon. I absolutely understand being extremely busy; it's a busy time of year. But it would have taken 30 seconds to type up a quick email to let me know that and to say they were still working on it. Instead they ghosted me for almost a month. It wasn’t until after I posted a 1-star review on Google that anyone got back to me. From that point on, the ONLY thing they cared about was getting me to change that review. I spoke to Derek on the phone on 7/27 where I finally received a verbal quote. I asked to be sent the quote in writing and Derek promised me that I would have it by Tuesday morning 8/1. He then asked me to change my review. I told him that I would work on adjusting it as was appropriate to the service I received. A little over 12 hours later, I received an email from the front office person, not with the written quote as I expected, but with a pushy directive asking why I hadn’t changed the review yet. At that point, I had a bad taste in my mouth. I wish they had spent a little less time and energy on forcing me to change my review and a little more on actually providing me with good service. I responded to that message saying I would change the review when the services received accurately reflected a higher score. Derek then called me once a day for the next two days, leaving messages on my phone with no information other than “call me back.” I never did receive the quote in

  Andy, We would like to start off by saying that any reputable contractor is extremely busy in the spring and summer months. We did see that you had mentioned that you understand this, but your negative review and your demeanor toward our staff reflect your statement differently. The decision to end our business relationship was not a mutual decision, but a decision made by our staff after you expressed foul language and an aggressive tone during your communication with our project manager. There was a considerable about of disrespect shown on your end. Our project manager reached out to you over the phone to give you the pricing information that you had requested. We are unsure why you have a bad taste in your mouth over the fact that we care about our customers’ feelings and kindly asked you why the review was left before having any kind of genuine experience with us. You had personally told your project manager that you were going to change the review, which led to the email, after noticing it was still up. We also keep incredibly detailed data where all emails, calls, paperwork, etc. are stored in our system and can prove that communication was there between you and your project manager. We have no direct calls to our office, no emails, and no website contact forms from you. After reviewing your Google review account, we notice a repeat in claims that you have had bad communication with multiple other companies. If you felt that communication was an issue, we cannot help but to wonder why you did not let our office know, and instead went straight to leaving a negative review.

  Had work done in 2021. Contractors would tell us they were coming out and then just not show up, several times. Delayed sanding the drywall excessively, even though it was dry enough to sand. Refused to correct an issue with attic insulation until our project manager forced them to, claiming it wasn't their responsibility. Ignored or didn't notice certain issues during initial consultation and were going to perform a repair over rotted subfloor that sagged under weight until we confronted them about it. Weren't clear about communicating with us during the consultation process or what the contract covered and didn't cover. I could go on. Derek was especially unprofessional in his dealings with us and often quite rude.

  Mr. Schepper, I spoke to your Project Manager (Dave) and he told me that he has tried to reach out to you to address any concerns you may have and your phone is disconnected. He also mentioned that: 1.) Your project was scheduled and completed quickly and professionally on your requested timeline. 2.) You requested for additional interior paint to be completed and Dave made contact to your adjuster for approval and once approved your tenant decided they did not want to paint. So you called Dave around midnight to voice your unknown frustration to him about the tenant not wanting to miss any work for the additional paint. (which you asked for) Along with these issues there was some delays with your insurance adjuster with his measurements and pricing which Dave also had to put a lot of time in to make sure that your claim was completely covered. Unfortunately insurance claims adjusters will sometimes miss a few things and we will have to go through the process to make sure that you receive the full benefit of the claim. This may seem to drag things out, but it is much better to make sure that the repair is completed properly the first time.

  We had some siding come off during a wind storm so we called Sure Seal for an estimate. They quoted a reasonable price and told us they could have it done quickly. We went ahead and set up the repair and paid the fee. A week went by and we heard nothing from Sure Seal. They never even bothered to come out and cover the bare spot on our house to protect it from weather and/or further damage. We tried calling, but we kept getting evasive answers on how much longer it would be before they would be out to fix anything. After calling a few more times they did finally send someone out to cover the bare spot on the house (over a week after we made payment). Several days went by after they came out to cover the bare spot and still no phone calls from Sure Seal to let us know when they would be coming by to fix the siding. We called again to ask when they were going to be there. That was when they FINALLY gave us a firm date and time of when they would send someone out. Since then, the section of siding that Sure Seal replaced has come off twice. The first time it came off, we called Sure Seal to come back out and fix it. The second time it came off, we decided it wasn't worth the hassle of dealing with their company or their poor workmanship so we called another company in town. We haven't had any problems with that section of siding since. Edited to add: It took two weeks for them to do any work, but they managed to reply to my review in just two days. Tells you a lot about this company's priorities... And then going so far as to claim that my negative review can't possibly be real and that I must be a competing business? Yikes!

  Sure Seal is amazing! They helped repair our roof due to storm damage. Derek helped with our insurance and guided us through the whole process. Even though they are busy and constantly working, he always made it a priority to give us updates in a timely manner. Highly recommend Sure Seal Contractors and Derek! He is a great and very professional project manager

  From having someone come out and look at my chimney to the completed project, Dustin and the Sure Seal team were nothing but amazing! The communication is genuinely unmatched and I never once felt out of the loop or uninformed. 100% recommend Sure Seal to anyone needing roof work or any other repairs!

  The Sure Seal team and particularly Dustin Brinson were very professional and attentive to my gutter project. Dustin called back within an hour of me leaving a message to describe my problem and came to assess within 24 hours. The job was complete before the next rainstorm! I now consider Sure Seal my go-to for anything gutter, roof, or deck related.

  Very pleased with the insulation work that they did to my 1970 era home. Dustin was easy to work with. The guys who did the work were on time, polite and explained all that they were going to do. Home is already warmer and my heat is running less often.
