Granted our house is smaller, but to do a total tear off and complete roof with some OSB sheath replacement in a 1/2 day and clean up, impressive to say the least. Highly recommend. 7 months later I have loose shingles and bulging drip edge and I'm told there is a fee of $350 to make repairs? Repairs on shotty "rushed" installation 7 months later?? Knowing this is how you stand behind your work I would not recommend.

Dan, Thank you so much for the kind words and recommendation! We’re glad we could complete your roof replacement quickly and to your satisfaction. Our team takes pride in efficient, high-quality work, and it’s great to hear the results met your expectations. If you ever need anything in the future, we’re always here to help.

Outside hooting and hollering 6:45am on a Saturday. I get it during the week, starting early getting the job done. But on a Saturday before the suns even up yall are tearing apart a roof, that’s just inconsiderate.

    Reply from the business

Aiden, Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the early morning disturbance and understand how disruptive this can be, particularly on a weekend. While we aim to complete our work efficiently and within project timelines, we also recognize the importance of being considerate of our neighbors and the surrounding community. Your feedback is appreciated.

The roof looks good from what we can see from outside (no completed pictures of the project were ever taken, so I have no idea what's going on up there) and the crew worked hard for 12+ hours to get the installation done in 2 days. However, the communication with the team was very poor. Delivery of supplies were left obstructing our back gate and then no communication was provided as to why or when the project would start until I called to ask. The office point of contact, Stacey, is extremely rude and when we called to complain that our attic was left completely demolished with dirt and debris, ruining our attic fan, and also food waste and water bottles left in the attic, she told us tough luck. Tarps were put up to protect the landscaping for picture purposes and then promptly taken down, meaning that expensive landscaping was trampled or crushed and destroyed. I keep finding shingle debris and nails in my yard and garden despite paying for cleanup. The initial inspection phase done by their employee stated that our roof was definitely one hundred percent going to only need a partial redecking (accommodated in the quote), which then suddenly turned into a full redecking and we were charged over 6,000 extra dollars for this. They tried to charge us over 4 grand for extra tear off but since the inspector only found two of the layers, they did take this off after some push back. They also left a giant wire attached to the roof peak from the old ice melt system instead of asking us if we wanted it reinstalled or taken down, so now there is giant wire hanging off the side of my house stuck 100 feet in the air with no way of us getting it down. I am very unhappy with the level of consideration that was given towards our home and the willingness for them to listen to or accommodate any of these concerns. I would be embarrassed to leave a job site in that condition, but they clearly aren't, so I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Hi Kristin, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear that parts of the process didn’t meet your expectations. While we’re glad to know the roof looks good and the crew worked hard to complete the project efficiently, it’s clear that there were several areas where we let you down, and we sincerely apologize for that. Communication is something we always strive to improve, and we regret that you felt left in the dark at times throughout the project. We also understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with debris, landscaping damage, and issues in the attic — that’s not the experience we want for any of our customers, and we’re sorry those things were not handled with more care. We hear your concerns about the redecking and additional charges. While sometimes conditions under the roof can change the scope of work, we understand that those changes should be communicated clearly and transparently — and we’re sorry if that wasn’t the case here. We’d really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly and see if there’s anything we can do to make things right, including helping with the wire left behind from the old ice melt system. Please feel free to reach out to us at your convenience. Thank you again for your feedback. It helps us grow and improve, and we wish you all the best.

As far as I know the work they did was okay. Clean up job was less than desirable but I looked the other way. My issue lies with the company’s synchrony as a whole. Last year I bought a house, requested to have some work done, got a quote, agreed to it, then was ghosted for weeks. As an apology, they knocked some $ off the quote & came out a few weeks later and did the work. I tried paying at time of service in January. I was told I had to wait to receive an invoice via mail or a phone call. Waited several days, nothing, called, got passed around & didn’t come of anything. I figured if they wanted payment, they would contact me. It is now ten months later, near the holidays, I have since sold said house & they are contacting me for payment. Wild way they do their business.

I would not recommend this company. We spent over $27,000 on a roof after a $500 concession. Their goal is to get the roof done as fast as possible, and if they destroy your yard, landscaping, or house in the process they do not care. I now need to repaint my house, get new landscaping and fix my lawn.

We utilized Summit Point to install a new roof in the early spring of 2017. We were not impressed by the crew at the time as they kept missing their dumpster, destroying a chunk of our fencing (photo). To their credit, the salesman comped us by not charging us for several feet of new wood sheathing. We considered the situation rectified and were relatively happy with the end product. However, over several days after the crew was complete, we kept finding large roofing nails all around our yard - one injuring our puppy. The response to this was lackadaisical; they took several more days to come back to our property to sweep for nails. To this day, we still find nails time to time. From there, no complaints. Or so we thought. Found out this past week that a complete lack of caulking around an air vent caused water intrusion over the past five years. Due to the recent heavy rain, this intrusion met its threshold, which culminated in a water-damaged bedroom ceiling (photo). Now we have another Summit Point mess on our hands. I completely understand that the work happened 5 years ago. And I sure hope the company has improved since then (appears that it has, going off the recent and overall reviews). However, we deeply regret hiring Summit Point for our project. Never again.

For while I can not comment about the quality of their roofing, but rather than the no quote I didn't receive. For the sake of not signaling anyone specific person, I had a guy come out on Monday (4/25/22) and he was very knowledgeable and even climbed up on to inspect my roof and told me what was needed. Now here is the problem, he told me to inspect a quote within a day or two, as of writing this, I have not received any such thing. So because of this I had to go with another company for my roofing needs, but this review isn't to deter from using them and could be just an isolated incident, hence the two star rating.

They did my roof 8 years ago. Everything went fine, everything has held up perfectly. No complaints. I'd recommend them to anyone who needs a roof replaced.

We had Chris come out and give us an estimate to fix our roof. He was not only professional but he saw some other things that needed to be fixed. He did warn us that it might take a couple of weeks because of all the storm damage they were working on, which we were fine with. The next week they called us and got us in a week early. They matched the new shingles to the old ones where you couldn’t tell which ones were new. When we need anything else done on our roof we will be giving them a call!

No leaks! Tried hard to schedule things, communicate, and adhere to schedule. Crews are subcontractors which was a little disappointing. Payment terms are only 7 days which is pretty tight turnaround unless you want to pay with a credit card.

We have had Summit Point Roofing install a new roof on two separate houses. They are great to work with, very knowledgeable on the different shingle types, and the pro& cons of all the roofing types! Two years in a row after major snows with thaws and refreezing during prime ice-dam weather, they have had crews dispatched promptly to prevent any trouble! We really appreciated their attention to the details! The crew comes in and protects your landscaping, and windows etc., installs roof, cleans everything up, and the only sign they have been there is a beautiful new roof! My husband has used them on his business properties also for commercial projects and has never been disappointed. We would recommend Summit Point Roofing without hesitation!!
