  Our repair guys came out the next day to seal around the chimney. No one answered the door when he was there, but he did the repair. The warranty is for the shingles themselves, not on the work. Schmidt has always stood behind there work. Sorry for the communications problem.

  I would rate them 0 stars because they failed to show up for our scheduled consultation. No call/no show = no job for them.

  I taken care on the yard across the street on the job you guys did on Wickham Dr today. You and equipment tour up the yard and didn’t do anything to fix. Not the company I would ever call. And don’t part in my yard at 6:45 am and think it’s ok.

  We are sorry to hear about the damage to your lawn, but the damage was caused by the delivery truck, not our crew. We will report this to the delivery company. Our guys reported that they tried to push the grass back down, but obviously that was not sufficient.

  Do not hire. We hired them to fix some siding on our house and fix a leak in the roof. When they were finished their work looked to be done very poorly and looked like it would leak. They also never looked at the leak on the roof. I spoke …

  Signed contract and paid half down for new roof on Oct. 13, 2021. They stated 4-6 weeks until they could do the job. I called and left a vm after 8 weeks--no call back. I called after 9 weeks had passed and the roof had started to leak, spoke with Julie and she'd said she would speak with Ricky about whether they could tarp the roof until they could do the job. I called back 3 days later when I hadn't heard from her. She said she would check and call me. She did call me back that day to say that they would be doing my roof the following Monday (Dec. 20th), which was almost 10 weeks after I had signed the contract. The crew did a great job on the roof, cleaned up all of the mess, and had it done --except for replacing the exhaust fan venting-- in 2 days. They said that the vent was on back order, but they would return when they got it and put it on. They placed a shingle over the hole until they could finish it. I called the office the next day to see when the dumpster would be removed and let them know about the vent. Julie said that she would make a note so they could get out there to finish when the part came in. I did not hear from them all through January and in February, when the ice dams started melting, water poured through the unvented/shingled hole in the roof. We had water in the microwave, it shorted out the electronic control panel on the stove below the microwave, and we had to cut the power to the electrical outlet behind the stove due to water flowing down the wall. I called and left a vm regarding the missing vent -- no response. March 8th, they left me a vm, sent a letter stating my bill was past due, and sent an email reminding me that I still owed them the other half of the bill. I called back the next day to remind them that they still hadn't replaced the exhaust vent. Julie said she'd wondered why she had written "vent" on my paperwork. I also told her what issues I'd had with water. I wasn't seeking compensation for damages

  Do not use Schmidt roofing, I had a repair job paid them in full and Ricky admitted to not a correct fix. Constant water damage in my dry wall with every rain fall. Ricky said 2 weeks away to fix the job...it's been 3 months. Called about 10 plus times, they don't care...I strongly advise not using Schmidt roofing.

  Schmidt completed our roof to a cost of 18k. It was leaking from the start. We had them out no less than 6 times and was never corrected. Our contractor had pulled some drywall in the front of our house for remodel and found our walls complete with black mold and structural beams rotting away from damp. Our roof needed to be completely redone only 6 short years after this original work. Our wood on the roof scrapped up like oatmeal it was so wet. Our skylight were completely installed incorrectly. I would sue Schmidt if I was not battling cancer right now. I just wish to send out a warning to others that they do not behind their work.

  My roof was replaced after a tree fell on my house. Schmidt replaced my roof in a expeditious manner. The whole team was very responsive thru completion.

  Window installers were on time. Did a very professional windows installation on our lower level. Cleaned up after the installation both outside and inside our home. Highly recommend Schmidt Roofing in Muskegon!!

  Very quick, nice looking roof now. They tore off all the old shingles, removed the skylights as I requested and replaced the roof. Also added the venting on the peak of the roof. Very pleasant people to deal with.
