Not rating the business itself but rating Carl and his son. We bought what we thought was a well flipped house from them in July. Inspection was done & they did fix what we required to close on the house. I will give credit where it's due, but upon further inspection myself, this was a cheap flip. The kitchen was done nicely. But the sheet rock on the ceiling in the living room has been begun to crack due to poor mudding and painting. The wiring for the can lights seems to be haphazardly. Drilled holes thru the plywood sitting over the joists to run the wires for the can lights instead of lifting the plywood or running the wiring so it's out of the way. The insulation was lifted and not laid back down. Seems as if they or the previous owner bought wider insulation than what is required and it doesn't sit right. Some of the 2×4s were nailed to the headers or joists. I had to fix them myself, granted that could've been a inspector failure. We were told the A/C unit was serviced & looked over just before we moved in, a receipt was shown. But I've since had 2 A/C techs come out to fix breakers and a fuse. Upon inspection by the tech the condenser is falling apart, the wiring to the A/C is fubared. Granted that could've been done before but at minimum as a flipper that could've been fixed. The sheetrock and the insulation is the biggest complaint. Altho I do feel the A/C should have been looked at and a minimum done right or completely fixed. They can respond all they want to but anyone can come and see what I'm talking about. The floors are great and the kitchen was done well, but it seems they rushed this house and it's disappointing.

Horrible experience! Just know they WILL NOT abide by price you sign and agree to on your contract. After the roof installation is complete they will charge you $3K more than your agreed upon price. And that increase was not based on any hidden damages or repairs. DO NOT trust them to go through your insurance company. Avoid the surprise billing, avoid at all cost!

Dear Judith, I’m sorry that you feel this way and that I could not make you happy in this situation. As we discussed with you in person and on the phone, your insurance company determined the settlement of the damage to your home from Hurricane Ida. In your case, your claim was supplemented which was explained to you verbally and is on your contract. The estimate was originally written using pricing from September 2021. When you contacted us at the end of January 2022 to replace your roof, your adjuster’s estimate was outdated and so when we completed your roof in February of 2022, your estimate was updated to the current pricing for when your job was done. This is called supplementing. Supplementing may include a variety of items including pricelists, code items or items left off of the adjuster’s worksheet. It can also include damage not able to be seen before the shingles are removed, commonly referred to as hidden damage. Thankfully, as you mentioned, your home did not have hidden damage. Additionally, when an insurance company revises their estimate for an insurance claim and the repairs are performed, the funds sent to the policyholder are to pay a contractor for the work that was completed. We are here to discuss this again and review the payments you received from the insurance company for the repair of your home. We have always been available to speak to you and will continue to do so. Thank you Judith.

They had to come back numerous times due to installing wrong ridge vents to vent pipes. I do not recommend. Plus a year later we're still picking up roofing nails in the yard.

Thank you for your thoughtful review, Mr. Clark, and for letting us know of your satisfaction with the timely installation and our team's communication throughout the process. We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the warning about potential damage. That is certainly not a part of the experience we want for our valued customers, and I, too, wish that the plant and light were not damaged. We know you will enjoy the peace of having a sturdy and Fortified roofing system and are grateful for your business. Thank you for recommending Storm Guard Roofing and Construction!

Needed a repair for a roof leak, and Storm Guard did an excellent job start to finish. Their surveyor Marshall came out and was extremely thorough and professional in his examination of the roof and interior crawl spaces near the leak. He was able to confidently identify the cause of the leak and propose the work and quote based on his findings in an expedient manner. When it came time for the repair itself, they were able to squeeze us in to beat out a lot of forecast rain showers we were expected to have the next few days. The two who arrived to do the repair were polite, extremely fast and safe while working, and also cleaned up after themselves very thoroughly. It definitely was a positive experience start to finish, and the lack of leak while it is raining it also a nice thing to have again.
