I had Storm Guard quote a roof repair on a house I was under contract to purchase. Unfortunately, while they were at the house, they told the seller the roof could be repaired and then shared the repair quote with the seller directly. Storm Guard was authorized to share the inspection findings but not the quote (they were separate documents). Both were shared with the seller. As a result, the sellers rescinded the inspection resolution, removed the concession, and changed the text from "roof replacement" to "roof repair using Storm Guard." That killed the deal and the house purchase fell through. It was an incredibly unprofessional move to share the quote when they weren't authorized to do so, and a very frustrating experience to face. The other five contractors who inspected the roof (three from the seller and two from me) and the home inspector all stated the roof was a replacement not a repair. Also, the other roofers did not share their quotes with the seller directly; it was that unprofessional move that had such a significant effect. While I cannot comment on the quality of Storm Guard's work, I would never recommend using them to bid a roof while under contract.

Hi Nicholas, We're so sorry to hear you're disappointed with the results of the estimate you requested. For reference, here is the information you filled out on our website when requesting the estimate: "The seller is offering a concession for these repairs but I want to this work myself with standard asphalt shingles so I can objectively evaluate their offer. The deadline for me to respond is the 20th so I will need a very quick turnaround on this quote. For reference, this is a repair that I *will* follow through on so this is a quote that will not be cast to the void." Given that your request specifically mentioned repairs multiple times, that's what we came out to provide the estimate for. When we met you onsite, you walked our rep through the issues and the repairs that would need to take place, which is what we provided an estimate for. When we were onsite, the homeowner asked if we would share the information we provide to you. We confirmed with you that you would be alright with this before sharing it, and we got your approval to do so. We are so sorry to hear that the deal fell apart and we are terribly sorry for the impact this had on you. We provided the estimate you requested and also provided the homeowner a copy of that estimate only after getting your approval to share the information. We ask that you please consider the impact your review has on our team and removing the review since we only did as requested and approved by you. We wish you the best of luck in your home search.

Have to give credit on a quick job when they replaced the shingles on my roof. I haven't checked the roof yet for quality of work, but the cleanup was horrible. There are a lot of nails in the driveway and yard.

Hi Omalley, We don't have anyone in our customer database with the name of "Omalley", so we think you may have the wrong roofing company. We pride ourselves on the cleanliness of our jobsites and would have been more than happy to clean yours more thoroughly if we did indeed perform a repair for you and you were unsatisfied with the cleanliness of your yard and driveway. If you could, please reach out directly to us at 719-985-2110 so we can find out what happened and see what we can do to make it right for you.

I had a technician scheduled to come look at a job and they no call, no showed and then a representative hung up on me the next day when I called to follow up on why they did not show up. Very unprofessional and disrespectful.

Hi Justin, We're so sorry this was your understanding of the situation. We did not have an inspection scheduled for you because we do not service the Trinidad area. If there is anything we can do to rectify this and change your perception of your experience, we would love an opportunity to do so. Please call our office directly so we can help resolve this.

Very dishonest contractor, caused the house to flood and the crew was horrible.

Hi J D, We've scoured our customer database and cannot come up with a single customer with the initials "J D" who had a roof leak, which leads us to believe that this is not a legitimate review. If you an actual customer, please reach out directly to us so we can resolve any issue you might be experiencing. We also want to address the false claims in your review: 1. We have partnered with the same crews for years and they do fantastic work. Our crews are made up of (terrific) human beings, and humans make mistakes sometimes. This is why we offer an industry leading 5-year workmanship warranty on all of our new roof installations. 2. We treat every customer's home as if it were our own. If a customer discovers a leak post-installation, we dedicate our team to resolving that issue immediately and completely. We don't just stop at repairing the roof - we make sure we resolve any issues or further damage that may have arisen from the leak. Since we've been in business, we have replaced thousands of roofs and can count the number of times this has happened on one hand. We made sure the customer was made 100% whole in each of those occasions.

Storm Guard may not be the worst company with whom I have done business, but it's close. On June 5, 2020, I called Storm Guard because I thought that my roof had been damaged by hail. Storm Guard sent Nick that very day to assess the damage. I submitted a claim to my insurance company, which, within five days, approved it and sent me a check with which to have Storm Guard begin repairs. I met with Steve (another employee of Storm Guard) and, in a casual conversation, told him that I would be out of town between July 19th and August 13th. Steve said that Storm Guard would begin repairs on July 20th. Meanwhile, I had paid Storm Guard almost $5000. On July 20th, I was 1000 miles from home when my phone rang; it was Steve - one of his workers had fallen through the ceiling of my bedroom. Was someone able to bring him a key to my house? Fortunately, my son lives thirty miles away and was able to bring the key, which he left with Steve. The next day, I received these texts: "Roof and siding all done. Waiting for confirmation from team to take a look at interior for tomorrow." "I should have the interior figured out by early next week. We will take pics of furniture and those things so we can put everything back if it all gets done before you're (sic) return. I apologize for this happening." On July 22nd, I received this text: "Was just inside (7/22) for the standard practice of asbestos testing. I've yet to clean up the debris from the drywall breaking. I'll likely leave that up to the interior sub." On July 23rd, I received this text: "Your ceiling/drywall came back NEGATIVE on the asbestos test. Good news." On July 27th, I received this text: "Waiting to get the interior knocked out." On July 30th, I received this text: "Please call when you have a few minutes." It was the last text that I would receive from Steve. I called him (At this point, I was 1500 miles from home). Steve told me that I would be responsible for cleaning up the damage caused by his worke

We're sorry to hear this was your impression of the events that occurred. Unfortunately, our roofers cannot see the condition of all the roof decking before tearing off the shingles. When you have rotten decking, there is a chance that a roofer can step through it before the shingles are removed from that area. Such was the cause with your roof. Because our roofers were up there to replace the roof due to hail damage, most insurance carriers would consider this a consequence of the initial loss. Our explanation was that your carrier should be covering the costs associated with the repairs, not that we would not repair the damage. When your carrier did not cover these costs, Storm Guard coordinated the repairs and covered the costs because it was the right thing to do. We apologize for the unavoidable inconvenience, but we do believe we made the issue right. If there is more you feel we could have done or can do, please contact us to let us know

We used Storm Guard a few years ago after a large hail storm. They contract out to other contractors and when I tell you they sent us a bunch of drug addicts, I am not kidding. They were never on time, they never power washed prior to painting, they left piles of siding in our yard and nails EVRRYWHERE. When we contacted Storm Guard we were told that they paid them and wanted them to finish the job. After they didn't show to finish the paint we demanded new contractors to come out. We told the Owner that the new paint was peeling off and he told us he didn't know why, but they did the job that we paid for. We had to do touch up paint 2 weeks after having our house "professional painted." We got a second opinion and we were told by a wonderful company that we should have went with in the first place, that they never power washed and that paint was put on top of dirt and cob webs and this was the reason the paint was peeling. There was no accountability from the Owner, honestly we just felt pushed around. Always go with the person who does the work themselves not someone who contracts out to the lowest bidder or in our case a bunch of meth addicts. We still have all the pictures and this was years ago if that tells you just how upset we still are about it. A representative from your company came out a month ago and looked at everything. He said that he agreed it was not quality work and that he would talk to his boss and see how he could fix the issue. We haven't heard anything since. Yep the owner sat at my kitchen table and told me I had to pay for the work provided. No apologies, just a wheres my check and I don't know why the paint is already coming off.

We're so sorry you feel this way, Jessica. We believe your review was prompted by us reaching out before your warranty expired to see if we could swing by and make sure there wasn't any warranty work needed. If we knew you were unhappy with the paint, we would have absolutely come and made that right. We're very proud of the crews we partner with and the work they do. We know they don't have their best day every day, which is why we commit to making it right if it's not the first time around. Please let us know if there's anything we can do for you.

The old adage of "you can't find good help these days" absolutely fit this company to a T. They are essentially general contractors who use private individuals/companies to do the work so there is a certain amount of lack of culpability as all they have to do is simply blame it on them but I don't let them off because of this. I had a lot of work done after a big hailstorm and nearly everything that was done screwed something up on my house. The roofers were the worst, followed by the gutter installers. There were parts of the "new" roof that appeared worse than when the hail hit. So much so that they had to redo a portion. I walked on the roof after completion and found at least a dozen nails strewn about. Gutter installers dropped a large section of the old gutter onto my 3 year old new deck and gouged the composite in several places. They were never able to repair this as the deck company they use is too busy to work on such a small job so it was left to me to deal with. They knocked off a couple of hundred but I would have much rather had them NOT screw it up to begin with as now the headache of finding someone to fix this is mine.

Tom, We are sorry we missed the mark on your project. We agree with you that a couple of the sub-contractors that performed work on your property did a sub-par job, which is why we addressed and solved those issues. We would never leave a customer with a finished product that we would not accept on our own homes. We apologize for the inconvenience caused when we had to revisit that work. Regarding your deck, our understanding was that you would be satisfied with a billing credit for the deck in the amount that it would cost to have that work completed because you did not want to wait until our sub-contractors had availability. We apologize for the scuffs on your deck and thought we had found a solution that you were happy with. Thank you for your feedback. We will use it to improve our organization and the service we provide to our customers.

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Storm Guard and their exceptional leader Brad Griebenow several years ago. As a full-time real estate professional, I meet a lot of roofers, and Storm Guard truly stands out. Brad is a true pro, knowledgeable and a great communicator, always prompt with answers and solutions...., AND he is that rare, responsive business leader who genuinely cares about the client/customer. Same goes for Melissa, who is Storm Guard's office manager. They care deeply about the client. And as a REALTOR, I find them to be an invaluable professional resource anytime there is roofing that needs evaluation during a transaction, or needs work to help a homeowner preserve and protect their property. One of my clients who has interacted with Storm Guard roofing was just singing their praises to me the other day, pointing out that they have recommended Storm Guard to numerous friends of theirs, stating that they are so impressed that Storm Guard never just leaps to suggest the most expensive solution, but is always honest about the real amount of work needed to get or keep a roof in good shape. That honesty, too, is rare to find and says a great deal about Storm Guard and their high ethical standards. I cannot recommend Storm Guard highly enough!

I love Storm Guard. What an incredible team. I called to get an estimate on replacing the roofing on my garage. They came out and measured it. The estimate was incredibly reasonable using all A Rating class 4 asphalt shingles (the very best). Do yourself a favor. Call them before considering anyone else. 5 stars

After a rather vicious hailstorm, my house exterior needed the proverbial "the works." On the recommendation of my gf, I contacted Brad at Storm Guard for the job. In short, the man and that company were amazing. Brad came out and inspected my home exterior, he worked closely with my insurance adjusters and company, and he and I consulted 2X in person to ensure that insurance-covered damages were noted and approved, that my other desired work was in the overall plan, and that I fully understood and approved everything. He also coordinated with Paint Craft for painting and siding/window frame repairs. My house was "nuked" over a period of several days during a period of forecasted great weather...they came over and got it done. Before and during this work, Brad and other Storm Guard personnel were in contact with me by phone for my questions and their updates. Once the work commenced, it was completed quickly and with minimal "impact" to my daily routine. The work was outstanding...my house looks great, my deck was re-finished to my specs (e.g., by hand rather than sprayer), my roof was upgraded to class 4 shingles (which then resulted in considerable reduction of my home insurance), there was minimal impact to my landscaping, the workers were friendly. And, later, I contacted Brad about another roof issue (unrelated to the primary job)...within 3 days, a worker came over and took care of it, no additional charge. I highly recommend Brad and Storm Guard of Colorado Springs! I will be contacting him/them again for any future exterior work on my home.

Absolutely loved my experience with Derek, I called with questions regarding the process and I had no idea how to deal with going thru my insurance.
