We take our customers privacy seriously and protecting that information is important to us.

  Had someone come to my house for quote. All sounded on track. Since then, they ghosted me and haven’t responded to emails or calls for 6 weeks. They came highly recommended but I’ve been disappointed with this experience.

  I obtained three quotes from Twin Cities roofing contractors for a new roof due to hail damage in Spring 2022. The three quotes were between $12K to 14.5K for a modestly sized 1.5 story home in Minneapolis. Stinson was the highest quote, but their sales person Tom was friendly, confident, and had a plan for the ice dam problem we faced. I felt Stinson had a good reputation in the area - so I verbally committed to Stinson. Several weeks later when they came by for a walk-through and asked to review the Insurance agency's documentation. Tom all of a sudden felt he underestimated the size of the roof by 7 square (***700 square feet***). Mind you - Stinson charges ~$650/square. Our pricing estimate went from $14.5K to $20K - after I had sent the other roofing contractors away and it was approaching the end of the roofing season. Feeling pressed for time, I felt I didn't have a choice. I sat down with Tom, and we negotiated a middle ground of $18K - still dramatically higher than the original estimate. The roof went up in a timely fashion and the crew was great. I have no reason to believe they didn't do quality work, but that doesn't make up for the bait and switch feeling I am left with (not to mention a palate with 3 square of extra material (that I paid for) which was sitting on my sidewalk upon completion of the job and picked up by Stinson a week later.

  I contacted Stinson Services for a roof replacement estimate. They failed to get the right date to the estimator, so they had to reschedule. Then I was told I would receive an estimate 4-7 days later. It has now been 51 weeks, and I have not recied any contact except for being signed up their mailing list.

  Our shingles were replaced, but they didn't replace two rain diverters. They also left signage and materials in the driveway. After almost two months of unresponded calls, voicemails, and emails, I finally got a response and promise that someone would finish the job the next day. I wasn't surprised when nobody showed up. Finally, it happened! Someone took the 5 minutes needed and actually completed the job. On a follow up call, credit to them, they admitted they dropped the ball. Fair enough. However, in an apparent attempt to rectify situation the gentleman assured me they have a great reputation. As if that meant anything to me after almost two months. Essentially, if they can't handle the basics promptly and professionally, they shouldn't get your job. **Update to the response below: this is a gross misrepresentation of the phone call. I stand by my review.

  Absolutely horrible. Called to have someone come out in July 2015 to take a look and see if I would need to replace my roof based on age. Nothing more, nothing less. Next thing I know I'm being told there is hail damage on the roof and siding and I can file a claim with the insurance company. Ok - sure. Tell me what I need to do. I was constantly following up with the consultant in charge of my 'project' and having to keep track of where things were at. I finally call his supervisor in February of this year after the consultant quit returning my phone calls and talk with the owner, Ryan Stinson. Ryan proceeds to tell me that yes the ball was dropped BUT he knows the consultant devoted 'a lot of time and energy' into preparing my supplement for the insurance company and they (Stinson) got me some generous numbers for repairing and replacement costs, despite the fact they will not receive any compensation for my project...REALLY? All this and they couldn't even get the supplement sent to the correct insurance company back in October. I had to send it myself this week. Finally Ryan proceeds to tell me that since I don't have faith in their ability to get the job done (can you blame me at this point, nearly eight months later?) that it's best if I pursue this on my own with an acknowledgement that it will be an uphill battle in getting it approved as what was initially authorized by insurance was way smaller than what Stinson had prepared. Why tell me I have hail damage and then not follow through on your end with what you are supposed to do in terms of helping the customer through the process? Why bother with customer service when you essentially blame the customer for being upset with your ineptness and do nothing except look to get out from underneath a mess you have created? My advice - if you are getting ANY siding, insulation or roofing work done, hail damage or not - I suggest going elsewhere. Save yourself the time AND the headache. EDITED TO ADD

  Betsy- Sorry to see your negative review, it was not intentional that your process was delayed and not coordinated effectively. To that end, we never completed any work for you and were never compensated by you for any services. We offered to continue to assist with your project but your disrespect for our company and our personnel was offensive and rude. We hope you are able to find another company to work with on your project and that you have a better experience.

  Working with Heidi and Stinson was so quick and easy and they fixed my issue! I had water seeping into my basement two summers in a row. I scheduled a free estimate the same week of the issue and Heidi came out and inspected the issue right away and came up with a plan within minutes. My downspout was moved the next week with water feeding into my yard rather than my basement. No rain during this past rainstorm. Couldn’t be happier!

  Stinson Services was quick to respond to my leaking roof - We spoke late in the day and in the morning I had someone on my roof patching the leak to prevent any damage. I was very happy with how quick they moved and was very communicative when it came to what they saw up there and what a permanent fix would look like.

  Had a new roof put on earlier this year from Stinson. Had some discolored icicles hanging from the roof so called to have someone check it out. The Stinson team was very responsive, sent Hector out to take a look. He checked out the roof and the attic and gave me some good information and took the time to explain what he was seeing and inform me that my insulation looked good and no frost, etc. I was very happy with the response, concern for my issue, and the follow up. Thanks for taking care of me as a customer!

  Stinson did a great job on our roof and gutter replacement. the staff was incredibly careful and pleasant. The team was efficient and happy and most of all courteous. I would recommend them to anyone needing a roofing contractor.

  About 3 years ago, our home suffered hail damage from a storm. Stinson’s did a great job of working with us and our insurance to replace the roof, gutters and siding. Recently I contacted them about an issue with a hinge on a down spout, and they quickly came out and fixed it. Glad we went with Stinson’s!

  As a remote business owner a few hundred miles from my twin cities location, I was very hesitant and concerned about hiring a roofing contractor for my new commercial property. The Stinson team was so helpful and transparent with their approach, it put my mind at ease that my building was being taken care of, especially after a torrential hail storm did so much damage to my roof. I highly recommend them to anybody that needs roofing done on a commercial level. I can't speak to their residential side, but I can only imagine that they bring the same level of professionalism and skill to the homeowners/families that they work with.
