  Southern Specialty Contractor LLC, gave me an estimate on my property to install a roof and I agreed to move forward after all parties agreed to a price. I informed the representative Manny that we were on a strict budget and could only afford what we were quoted. He did a complete assessment of the roof and said he thought we would be fine with the price quoted and did not anticipate any additional problems based on his knowledge and expertise. My husband and I decided to move forward because he seemed to be an honest person. We paid half of the invoice and the other half was due at completion. We never got a phone call, text or email stating that they found any additional problems. Unfortunately, when the job was completed they sent an invoice with an additional $1995. I called and told them they made a mistake on the invoice and I was told that they found some additional issues and addressed them without my permission. I have never in my life heard of a company making additional repairs to a property without discussing it with the homeowner. I believe this is a scam. They submitted a lower bid to get the job and inflated it after the work was completed. This man had the nerve to file suit against me for repairs that I didn't approve. I have a feeling that this is how they do business. That is very unprofessional to inflate a price without discussing it with the customer. I will definitely see him in court. Please shop around before you do business with this company. I REFUSE to allow him to scam me. I wish I could give zero stars. He was paid in full per the contract terms but is trying to hustle me. #scamartist

  Very reliable general contractor. They were honest, organized, and detail-focused. The construction work was done neatly and efficiently. The site was kept clean and the job was completed properly.

  Prompt and professional. Rod and his team identified the problem on the roof of our automotive shop around the paint booth vent and made all the necessary repairs at a very reasonable price. They also did some insulation work for us inside the building. We were very happy with the work done and will definitely be using Southern Specialty Contractor LLC for any other repair or roofing needs we have!

  We had the roof replaced due to hail damage. I was particularly impressed by how meticulous they were in all things. Several skylights were replaced and they were very careful to get them seated, aligned and sealed exactly.

  They went out their way to make sure I was pleased. I couldn't be more impressed with Rod and his guys.Very professional did exactly what they said they was going to do.They did many extras beyond the project requirements. Will only use Rod and his company for my future projects.Highly recommend them!!

  Hurricane Helene damaged our roof. We contacted them and they did a great job. My roof looks great. The owners are very responsive and helpful.

  First, I never write reviews. I always read them, but never write them. Secondly, I have had several service companies/people work at my home. I have never been compelled to write a review about them (because it would not have been positive). However, working with Rod Holbrook of Southern Specialty has been an extremely positive experience. I had a complete exterior remodel (roof, gutters, paint, chimney demo and remodel, window/door replacement, and front entryway remodel). The pricing was incredibly reasonable. The workmanship was impeccable. He and his team were always conscientious, creative, competent, and communicative. He started my project ON TIME and finished only one day after his estimation. The extra day was completely on me. I added additional projects. I could not be happier with the work that has been completed at my home. It is exactly- no - BETTER than what I had expected. Again, please see above comments about other services I have had. During THIS entire project with Southern Specialty, I have not once been aggravated, anxious, MAD, or wondering when the work was going to be completed. I have never been happier working with ANY other company. Thank you, Rod and team!!!
