  Edited review to 2 stars. I am a senior, retired, living on my own with a fixed income.A tree fell on one end of my house causing damage to the roof, with exterior and interior damages.The roof company general manager came and surveyed the damages once the tree was removed.I was told they would meet with the adjuster.The adjuster's estimate was divided into each separate sections of repair. After giving them the insurance estimate I asked for an estimate from the company. I was told the insurance estimate was their estimate, to ensure the only out of pocket expenses I would have would be the deductible. We signed a contract for the amount to be paid.I was told they would take care of everything, all the damages, and working with the insurance company, that I did not even need to call the insurance company. So, I left everything in their hands.This company failed me.There was failure in not following up with the insurance company to confirm what my policy covered. No confirmation that the adjuster had any information on my specific policy. The general manager asked him if the insurance company covered a specific coverage, which the adjuster only confirmed the insurance company in general did provide that coverage, but nothing about what my specific policy would cover. Upon researching, the insurance does not give the adjusters any policies. Adjusters assess damages and submit estimates. With the correct information of my policy coverage, I had options.But since the roofing job was performed under the assumption I had coverage I did not have, I had out of pocket expenses. The money alloted for the other damages than the roof had to be paid wholly on the roof, then some. The roofing company did give a credit for the other damages not repaired. But, with the work I had to pay them not covered by my policy, that credit just went toward the extra work. With the correct information I would have had options, the option of having just the damaged roof repaired, not the whol

  Working with Stephen was easy. Extremely talented roofing crew. These men have been doing roofing for years. Prep and cleanup was thorough. Impeccable results at a very fair price. Awesome transferable warranty as well. They put all my landscaping back the way it was. Thanks, guys.

  I ended up not needing my roof repaired, so my review focuses mainly on Stephen’s communication and professionalism. I called many roofers, but only a small handful actually showed up to take a look. Stephen stood out because he was punctual, professional, and quite simply did exactly what he said he would do. His pricing is very fair, and he took the time to explain his material recommendations in great detail. Anytime I had a question, he was happy to answer and provided extra context to ensure I fully understood the process. I felt confident that he would do the job the right way—no shortcuts! If and when we decide to replace our roof, Stephen and Southern Guarding Roofing will be the first on my list.   Replacing 4300 square feet of aging shingles with a standing seam metal roof felt like a big decision. I contacted several Chattanooga-area roofing companies, and Southern Guardian quickly became my top choice. Their quote was the most detailed and their salesperson took the time to come out to my property and explain the entire process in detail. What struck me was that everyone involved in the project was very passionate about roofing systems, and took the time to explain and educate about the pros and cons of each decision with full transparency and candor. The install process went very smoothly, with Stephen (GM) and the whole install crew treating my house as if it was their own. The jobsite was consistently clean and organized, and their attention to even the smallest details was remarkable. They weren't done until the entire roof was installed and inspected properly. I'd be very happy to hire them again if I ever have another roofing project in the future!

  Southern Guardian is simply the best! Robert and his crew did an amazing job on our new roof and fixing my mom’s roof from a very poor installation from another company! They show up on time and do exactly what they say they are gonna do. Robert discus's everything from start to finish, and verifies with pics! When they leave the clean up better than when they arrived! Very very happy with this company!

  Southern guardian was great to work with all around. They were able to start the job in a shorter timeframe to an other companies I got quotes from and also was able to work with me on their quote to make it comparable. They have a representative that is on property the entire job that gives update s, takes pictures and comments the whole process. Cleanup was Laos top notch!

  had a great experience with southern guardian roofing. from the orignal meeting for a quote up until the job was complete. very professional. on time. and did exactly what they said they would do. new roof facia soffit and gutters. looks like a brand new house
