I signed a contract to have a new roof put on my house for 8,000$ but when I received the final invoice it totaled up to 10,800$. A little more than 8,000$.

    Reply from the business

Thank you so much for your feed back. Any and all contract changes are gone over thoroughly in your contract paperwork. Wood costs are not added until deemed necessary and supplements(changes to the insurance summary) could be added on the back end. Please review your wood form along with the supplement form. If you will give me a call I can do a review for you and break down the change for you:) Courtney- 706-822-9971

The way the guy in that pickup truck drives is not someone you want working on your house, unprofessional irresponsible.

I bought my townhouse in October 2023. A new roof had been put on less than 5 years earlier (after tornado). In September of 2024, Helene rains passed through with one day of heavy rain and I had water dripping from my 2nd floor loft area - a lot of water. I contacted the previous owner and he told me that American Roofing Company had put on the roof. I contacted them and they found me in the system but told me that there was only a two year warranty on the roof. I was not going to use a company that only stands by their work for two years. I was given a recommendation from a neighbor and used someone else who came and repaired the loose shingles. The week of February 9th of this year, we had heavy rains again. The leaking in my ceiling was in a different place and worse than before. My current roofer said that couldn't guarantee that a patch up would keep this from happening again so I am currently having a new roof put on with a roofer who stands by his work for way more than two years. I will not recommend American Roofing Company to anyone.

Hello Mr Atkinson, I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience, and I completely understand your frustration. We take customer concerns seriously, and I appreciate the opportunity to address this situation. To clarify, our standard warranty is for two years and covers workmanship issues only, this is what the previous homeowner chose. The 10-year extended warranty was not purchased during the original installation, which is why we are unable to cover repairs beyond the two-year mark. I do understand how this can be disappointing, especially after experiencing issues during heavy rains. When you reached out we offered to send someone out to assess the situation to work with you on finding a solution moving forward. And let you know repairs would be handled as a separate service, but we are always open to discussing options and ensuring you are taken care of. I’m really sorry to hear you decided to go with another roofer, but I respect your decision. If you ever need assistance in the future or would like to explore our services again, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We value your feedback and would be happy to help in any way we can. Thank you for your time, and I hope everything is resolved smoothly with your new roof.

Never ever use this company. They don’t honor their work when the roof starts leaking and is still under warranty!!

    Reply from the business

I’m truly sorry to hear that you feel we did not honor your warranty. While we understand your concerns, I do want to clarify that our warranties do not cover acts of God or natural events. You did have the standard 2-year warranty, which unfortunately expired over a year ago, and the 10-year warranty was not purchased when it was offered. When you called in, I did mention that we would be happy to come out and assess the situation, and we’re more than willing to work with you on a plan to address the issue. However, any repairs would be treated as a separate contracted service and would incur charges. We value your business and would be glad to assist you further if you’d like to move forward with a solution.

We used American Roofing for a full roof replacement following storm damage. The crew themselves arrived on time the morning of the install and cleaned up well around the property before leaving. The project manager/foreman arrived admittedly late and was only on site briefly before having to leave due to an emergency. There were two issues I pointed out the following day when he came back to bring paperwork, which he went on to say wouldn't have been left had he been on site and would be fixed. Customer service from this point was terrible. We ended up being told conflicting information from multiple representatives from the company including saying that we would have to pay to have a crew to come out and later that the problems actually weren't going to be fixed. The amount we would have to pay also varied with each instance of communication. They finally sent one guy to mediate a cosmetic problem on the back of the house, which now looks far worse as seen from the picture. The paint was not even close to matching and there are errant streaks up and down the siding. The other issue was a cupola that was left unsecured on our garage and was damaged with the wood rotting. Our initial salesman Jeremy assisted with resolving this after another company rep, Cole, was unable. Jeremy was the only person that was helpful throughout the entire process and was a big advocate for our case with the insurance company before the project started. Its a shame that all the effort to provide a good service by one individual like Jeremy has to be overshadowed by other overwhelmingly negative experiences. By far the worst experience out of all of this came with a distasteful interaction with Cole Reynolds. I'm not sure why this person is even allowed to communicate with customers directly. Never have I been spoken to this disrespectfully by someone. He repeatedly cut me off, laughed when I tried to explain the problem, and accused me of trying to manipulate the company to fix the

I am so sorry about that. Looking over the notes it appears our guys have went above and beyond for you. The cupola was removed as you requested. We did inform you that we had to pay workers to do this work and that was something the homeowners have to pay, due to it being labor that has to be contracted to be completed and was not mentioned until the roof install was finished therefore there was no charge for the additional request. Most companies usually do not do extra labor for free, but since this was not understood and was not on the initial contract and would need to be contracted as additional costs, we told you we would help by covering half of that cost in hopes to make this a better situation for you. Not only were we threatened with this bad review if we did not do what you were "requiring of us to avoid this review" (pay for this work and charge you nothing which we can not do) but we also were treated very disrespectfully when trying to explain how all of this works. Cole is one of our very best production Managers who is full of knowledge and understanding, this is not to say he will just take utter disrespect and not respond accordingly after going above and beyond for a customer. As we discussed with you onsite the markings on your siding is old tar from the previous roofer who did not do this area correctly at all! We told you that we would help paint the area to TRY and match the old existing siding the best we could. We let you know that you would need to have all this metal siding redone new to fix the issues the old tar caused, we did not put any tar on this area and only tried to make what was there previously look better for you guys in another attempt to make this a better situation for you guys. We have repeatedly tried to help you but we can only do so much work for free on stuff we did NOT cause nor were we contracted to work on.

After reviewing your file, all of the work listed on your contract has been completed. It appears that the issue is that you have not received the warranty paperwork or the receipt yet. This is because you still have a very large balance with us. We are unable to send the warranties when there is still a balance. Once the balance is paid we will send out all of your warranty information as well as the paid receipts. This will also show the work that was completed as requested:)

Spoke with the homeowner after looking into his account with us and realized these issues are due to a lack of communication. Jordan was not the salesman on this account but took drone photos for another salesman and was unaware that that the footage taken was requested by the insurance as they reached to the actual salesman and Jordan was not notified. We called the homeowner to explain this and try and make him happy. The homeowner does not want to go with us which we completely understand. We agreed to cut ties at this time. We will release you from any and all agreements at this time and wish you luck in the future.

I highly recommend American Roofing Company. Chris Manley was amazing to work with. He will work hard for you, and is so important in helping advocate for you with your insurance company. He takes a lot of time to explain things, and is easy to get in touch with throughout the whole process. The crew who installed the roof was punctual, efficient, hard working, and did an amazing job! They were great about cleaning everything up whenever finished, and protecting shrubs and bushes around your house by covering with tarps. I highly recommend this company, and was very pleased with their work!

Chris Manley of American Roofing quickly responded to help my client when a storm caused a tree limb to fall directly into the roof of their new home! In only moments, Chris had provided helpful information and set up for Peyton to inspect the roof. In just a few days, the insurance claim was negotiated and a brand new roof has been aporoved!🙌

I had the chance to work with Austin Jones from American Roofing Company, and honestly, he’s top-notch. He came out, gave us a quote, and provided some serious knowledge about the roof. You can tell he’s passionate about what he does and loves helping homeowners understand all the details. Highly recommend him—10/10 for sure!

My husband and I are new homeowners and were very excited moving into our first house, but we quickly learned that homeowning means home projects, some we did on our own and some we paid other folks to take care of, but getting our roof replaced was a 7 month process (because of our insurance) and I'm confident that we wouldn't have a new roof today if we would've went with any other roofing company. We initially talked to different roofers and got a few quotes, which was good to learn different folks' processes and what they would cover, but we ultimately went with American Roofing Company for a number of reasons. First, they were knowledgeable of the process of working with our insurance and were present for the very first phone call but, more impressively, they stayed in contact with our insurance throughout the 7 month long process, as our insurance did not initially accept our claim so ARC had to submit additional information, which lead our insurance to finally accept the claim 4 months in. Then ARC took care of submitting a secondary claim for the decking, which lead to us eventually receiving another check from insurance to cover that. Secondly and what we're most grateful for, Michael stayed in contact with us throughout the entire 7 months, answering any and all questions, keeping us updated on progress on their end, following up when needed, and just generally seemed to have our best interest in mind. When we finally received both checks from insurance, it was only a couple weeks before the roofers were here putting on our beautiful, hunter green roof! I don't think we'll ever totally know what lengths Michael and ARC went to to get us our new roof, but we are very grateful and, while we were very nervous to make such a big investment, American Roofing Company made it as painless as possible (:
