Snap did my neighbor's siding job in July 2021; she paid $5k. In October 2021 Snap quoted me $8,600 for the same job. I knew this before agreeing to the quote. I was willing to pay it b/c: the cost of goods have risen which I assume accounts for at least 20% of that; and I was desperate and willing to pay for the convenience of having a job done quickly. The owner was not the nicest and kept me in the loop about half the time - again not as important to me as the job being done soon and well. My home had termites. I advised prior to the job beginning there was likely plywood damage and some to the drywall on the back wall. The owner advised that plywood could be replaced (at $100/board - go and do the math on that profit margin) but structural they could not do. Guess what...it was structural. The job was started, paused (while I found a carpenter to make structural repairs), resumed and completed. I will say this: Snap hires amazing subcontractors. My house is now absolutely gorgeous. I sent my check for the balance and oop...a couple days later got an invoice for the balance plus $250 for a start/stop fee. First mention of this additional fee. If he hadn't thrown that little bit of icing on top of my price gouging cake I may have referred my neighbors (several of which have asked who did my siding) but that left a really bad taste. Update - Reducing 3 stars to 1. After challenging the surprise $250 fee (owner claimed his subcontractor charged him that) and, after advising I would not pay it, he threatened to void my warranty. Bear in mind this is after having received full payment 2 days after job completion. When I told him what he was doing was illegal and I would seek legal remedy if I needed to use the warranty the story changed to it how it was fair to charge me because of lost time and extra work done. I again asked why no fee was mentioned before job or at time we had to pause. He claimed he knew nothing about termites. I guess he forgot the entire phone

I found Snap Roofing Siding & Windows from a Google search since they're a local business in Bowie. My first impression when calling Snap, it didn't seem like a business because Steve questioned who I was and how I got the number. "That's odd - whatever happened to, oh, idk, Snap Roofing, how can I help? Then he told me to call back because he was busy. OK, how about you call when you have a moment to set-up an appointment. Matter fact, I'll send a text with my information and pictures to give you an idea of the job. I sent the text after we spoke and at no point during the day did Steve return my call nor acknowledge my text messages. Before the business day was over, I sent one last text asking if the messages were received. By this time, I deleted the strand because clearly I'm not doing business with some half-a**, unprofessional company that doesn't have the courtesy to schedule an appointment, acknowledge messages or return them. Finally, I get a text that just says "Yes." So I call shortly thereafter and again, "who's this?" Rather, Snap Roofing... Steve tells me to call back tomorrow because we're closed. Maybe business is so good that he doesn't need to take on another job and after reading such positive reviews, I'm dumbfounded as to how they were accommodated and my job went ignored. I WOULD NOT recommend Snap to anyone and if Steve has the time to read messages, my advice is to "DO BETTER because your business model sucks."

This google reviewer does not allow reviews on her site? We did not do any work for you .FIVE STAR GOOGLE REVIEW for SNAP Roofing Siding and Windows We recently receive our first less than 5 star google review in about 15 yrs. We installed some 157 roofs, 23 complete vinyl siding jobs and as many window replacement . The average roof has 4 tons of shingles to be removed and 2 tones to be installed. Most are 2 and 3 stores, steeply pitched in the heat of summer and the cold of winter. Every job was 5 STAR No leaks, no damage property, no flat tires and thank GOD no injuries. Most every roof was started at 7am and done by 6pm. I personally oversee every job and drag a magnet bar after the crew has left. They do the same but we found it a good 5star procedure. I have been doing this for 40 years, yes 40 years. Im sorry if you weren’t treated well when you called. We try very hard to be kind and helpful to all . We do ask were you found our contact info so we can spend the few dollars we spend on advertising every year well . Low cost help us keep our prices low. We install 50 yr roofs, Landmark ,Timberline and Duration shingles, Maintenance free Vinyl Siding and Windows that will last a long time I couldn’t find you text with your name and it was not on your site , you called during the Fifa under 21 mens finals game. I told you we were close and that I would get back to you, I wasn’t fast enough for you so you gave me a poor google review . I found you site with your picture but your name seams not to be attached. Hope you were able to get your project done. Stephen Owner

We had our house sided during the hottest week of the summer. The team that worked on our house arrived early and stayed late. They did a great job and we are so happy with the finished product. We would recommend Snap if you are looking to get your house sided. The owner of the company is great to work with.

We chose Snap Roofing for to replace our roof after carefully considering two other installers. First, their price was the least expensive. But that’s not why we chose them. They have good reviews and the shingles they use are highly rated …

Steve and his teams were incredibly helpful when I had an issue with some rafters. It was great to work with someone communicative and responsive. Steve always returned my phone calls, showed up on time, and took great care of the job site. The work performed on my house was double checked by Steve and he took the time to supervise the work being done on the rafters to make sure that all repairs were done properly. Steve's expertise and experience in the local homes in the area shows and and working with him was a great experience.

Stephen, the owner, is phenomenal. We noticed an issue that we believed to be a leak so he came by to look at it. From the moment I sent the initial email to the moment he swung by wasn’t more than two hours. He spent an hour with us walking thru our home and basically giving us a Levitt House 101 course. No leak, but we now have a better understanding of our home and a list of things to look for and plan moving forward. We will be executing that plan moving forward and will keep coming back to him for future projects. Anybody with a Bowie home, Levitt especially, should call this company.
