  What a joke come out to do an estimate on September 2nd and I was told I would have it by September 5th which was Labor Day get an email September 6th that they couldn't even do the estimate because they could not fit me in this year would have been nice to know that up front here I'm waiting four days for nothing and I could have had other companies out for a estimate.

  Came out to review needs and gave sky high estimate. When asked what would be included for the price received no answer and then 4 weeks later was told they were not interested in taking on the job.

  Susan, You had two leaks on your newer roof that another contractor completed. The design of your roof is prone to ice damming and water intrusion with heavy rain. You wanted a repair, however our suggestion was to do an entire section of the roof so we could inspect the plywood and the underlayment and re-flash the large stone chimney. You scoffed at the price, so to us that meant you weren’t interested. I apologize for the miscommunication on our end, however we did not believe you wanted to proceed with the repair. Once we attach our name to a job, we want to make sure it is done the right way. I’d be more upset with the contractor who did your roof and is not fixing the issues that have occurred. Our quote would be the only way to know the problem will be solved on the first try.

  Customer beware. I contracted with this company. They continued to make excuses why they couldn’t show up as water poured in my building. They completed a partial job and stopped returning my e- mails. Then they bought new gutter downspouts when they were just to re attach what was there. Then they claimed they returned to finish the roof even though they didn’t. Months later I had paid someone else to complete the roof repair. Then they started making threats. Months later they started again claiming that my pictures could not have been their work. They forgot their own argument. Yes this was the work from the person I paid to do your work ! Threats and extreme insults have continued. I have them all documented. Unfortunately we had to adgree to disagree. I decided to pay the job in full even though it was not completed. Hopefully a lesson on integrity.

  This is Joseph Rogo, your estimator. I personally schedule your material delivery because it had to be boom lifted on the roof. You called and cancelled the installation because you said you didn’t have the funds available to pay. You asked for us to push off the partial roof installation until March 4th, 2021, which we did. On 11/30/2020, Laura emailed you an updated proposal, letting you know that your downspouts were split and we were recommending replacement at a cost of $681.00. Within two hours you responded, “Ok thanks. When can you get there?” Your roof is in horrible condition, but, you said you could not afford replacement, only repairs. We cannot build you a new building for the $580.00 we were charging for minor repairs. You threatened to malign our company if we didn't discount your bill, (08/16/2021 "Agree and I’ll send a check. Or I forward this to my lawyer to deal with and I’ll start having fun with reviews", 08/20/2021 "I set an alarm to remind me once a week to post this story on every review board I can find ! Buckle up". I guess this is you carrying out your threat. You also threatened our office manager, Laura, for which you will get your day in court. You agreed, in writing, to all the work that was performed. Pay your bill!

  Be careful they might be a little over priced for repairs I payed $495.00 for five guys who showed up not one was able to speak English so I had no idea what they did or could not even get a answer to know what they did or what was wrong with the roof . Five guys put up one ladder they were on the roof for a total of ten minutes and used one shingle to do the repair . I am not super smart but I think 495.00 for ten minutes of work and one shingle is a little over priced

  John, you were aware of the pricing prior to any work beginning. The price was due to the steep/high pitch(3 1/2 story Gambriel) of your roof which was explained in your estimate. You signed a contract and we had the guys out there within two days to complete your repair. You should have contacted the office if you had any complaints or questions regarding your repair. As I explained to you that morning, we had a crew out doing repairs due to the inclement weather coming early afternoon. They operate as a crew, as I do not understand your complaint that there was too many men on the job site. We pay based on the complete job, not per person. Communication has been open between us since you called(phone and email) and you failed to say anything until now, not our team. You hired a licensed and insured company to repair your roof for an agreed upon price.

  We have been waiting since August 2019 for them to fix a portion of our roof. It is leaking into the ceiling in our living room and the ceiling is cracking more and more with each storm. Smith and Miller accepted a down payment of $800. It is now December 4 and they still have not shown up to fix it despite frequent promises that we are next! Meanwhile snow is sitting on the roof and the crack is leaking. We have asked for our deposit back but have not received it. Jack and Robbie McHale

  Jack & Robbie, I am very disappointed to see your bad review of Smith & Miller Roofing. Let me clarify, Smith & Miller Roofing did not install the roof on your home. We were called because you had leaking around your dormers, and our inspection found that your shingles were improperly installed, by another contractor. Our estimating team reviewed your problem and came up with a solution. When we presented our proposal to you, we clearly explained that we only have one crew doing repairs. Your contract clearly states, “*Current lead time is 8 - 12 weeks, not counting holidays and inclement weather”. When I put that clause on your contract, I thought that you thoroughly understood that we would not be able to immediately complete your repair. I understand your frustration because your roof was leaking, but, all of our other repair customers had leaky roofs also. We take them in order, first in, first out, weather permitting. The squeaky wheel does not get the oil. Laura from our office called you with a repair date, then, you posted a negative review the next day.   This company put a new roof on my house during the winter. We have had to have them back to our house several times with poor work issues. The first time they apologized & said there was no excuse for the lack of quality workers and mistakes. They told us they would fix it all. We thought, after it was “ fixed” that we would have the $10,000 quality roof that we had been promised- we were wrong! As the weather warmed up we noticed several other issues & contacted them again. They sent 2 men that came & hammered the heck out of a section of roof “ to fix the ripples”- they left without even contacting anyone inside the house . Next day we saw their “ fix” along with the ripped shingles that it caused & contacted them yet Again! Owner came out s few days later where we showed him the list of things wrong , again no excuse as to why his workers did what they did & “ assured “ us that everything would be taken care of. Over a week went by & he came again today ( I had a work meeting & couldn’t stay ) so only my husband was here. Apparently, he had the nerve to yell at my 15 year old daughter after my husband repeatedly asked for the companies liability insurance information ( which he refused to give ) and she then asked the owner why he was not giving her father the information . This has been nothing but one headache after the next since the day we met this man we want our roof fixed 100% complete from start to finish the way it should have been done the first time so that five or more years down the road we do not end up with issues like we did with the previous roof that was only seven years old . He wants to just keep putting Band-Aids on top of an in properly installed roof !!

  Deirdre, We tried to rectify the situation, but, your husband was erratic and abusive, yelling obscenities while we were trying to talk with him. Nobody....NOBODY yelled at your daughter. I suggested to your husband that he should not involve her while in the condition he was in. You have ignored several phone calls the last couple days, so I will tell you now. We will take care of any and all issues you have with your new roof. We will come over your home to discuss, but, as we mentioned, only in the early morning. You can call our office to set up the appointment. We would like to fix this situation as soon as possible.

  Very pleased with the work. The flat roof tear off and replacement......this high quality gives me piece of mind. As far as the clean up, when the job was complete there was no evidence they were even there. As I contemplate new windows they will likely get the nod. I highly recommend this company.

  Smith and Miller installed new siding and shutters, new gutters, plus roof repair. We are more than pleased with our experience working with them. The entire team is professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Whenever we may have had a question it was answered promptly. Their guidance throughout the remodeling process was superb! Also, the products used are great quality and have made our home look awesome.

  Had Andrew at my property to perform an inspection of my roof. He showed up on time, gave me adequate notice of his arrival and was both friendly and professional on his arrival.
