I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this company. They replaced my roof even though they were aware that the wall supporting that area was damaged. Before the work was completed, I specifically asked whether replacing the damaged portion of the wall was something they could quote, so the condition was not unknown to them. Instead of clearly explaining the risks or addressing the damaged wall before installing the new roof, they moved forward with the work. I was later left dealing with thousands of dollars in additional expenses. The work has now been completed for over a year, and I am still battling with the township to get the permits closed. I have had to handle this ongoing situation without the support or cooperation I expected from the company that performed the work. As a single mother, this has been financially and emotionally overwhelming. This company presents itself as one that helps and supports the community, but when I needed them to stand behind their work and help resolve the situation, I felt completely abandoned and left to deal with the consequences on my own. I am sharing my experience so other homeowners understand how important it is to get every concern, recommendation, permit responsibility, and potential structural issue documented in writing before allowing work to begin. I trusted this company to guide me appropriately, and unfortunately, that trust has cost me thousands of dollars and more than a year of ongoing stress.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Schoenherr Roofing. My concerns started during the installation process, when key issues were not properly addressed, including damage to my landscaping. Despite raising these concerns, they were not handled appropriately. After installation, I continued to deal with unresolved issues involving the roof, bat concerns, and an insurance claim. Instead of taking ownership and providing a professional resolution, the process became frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. To make matters worse, I received a call from Ryan, the Director of Schoenherr Roofing, requesting payment while these issues were still unresolved and mentioning collections. This approach was unprofessional and showed a lack of accountability and customer care. Don’t be fooled by their statements, marketing, or claims about providing a “5-star experience.” My experience was the complete opposite. A company should stand behind its work, communicate professionally, and resolve concerns before demanding payment. Based on my experience, Schoenherr Roofing does not deserve even 1 star. I strongly recommend staying away from them.

Great until they weren’t. I had both the roof, siding, and gutters replaced on my house/garage (1400sq ft, $44,000). Roofers came back to fix issues that wouldn’t pass inspection, promptly. Siding guys left several gaps and exposures on the siding/sheet metal work, of which they came out promptly to repair/fix/replace but left, what I’m assuming were all of the nails from the previous siding and new siding. They eventually came out to clean up after a third party contractor with Schoenherr made a call to them. My issue, of which I’m past the point of annoyance, is fixing some repair work I had on the front of my house. I had someone come out to quote me, a quote of which I never got. And after a dozen phone calls, texts… radio silence. It might not be worth the $10s of thousands in repair, so it’s not worth sending a crew out for (I’m assuming). I’d rather them just say they don’t want to do it so I can either do it myself or find someone else.

We had our roof replaced and attic insulation added last December. While the roof was passable, the insulation job was a serious problem from start to finish. Insulation – Major Issues The salesman specifically sold us on using Attic Pros for the insulation, which I agreed to based on their reviews. On installation day, an unmarked truck showed up with a crew the Schoenherr project lead didn’t recognize — he actually asked me who they were. There was zero coordination. The insulation crew tried installing baffles on decking the roofing crew then tore off, and the damaged baffles were simply reinstalled. After they finished, they showed me a photo of a measuring stick at 12” — but when I went into the attic myself, I found the stick had been placed in a locally mounded area in the middle. Multiple spots had almost no insulation over the existing 3” (some spots you could still see the old insulation). The soffit vents they installed also didn’t match my existing siding and soffit, despite the salesman’s promise. When I asked the crew about it, they said they’re only given white and black vents and had no idea why that was promised. When I called Schoenherr, no one could even tell me who they’d sent. It eventually came out that it was a Schoenherr insulation crew the project manager didn’t know existed. They did come back to fix the missing insulation — but only because I pushed. Most homeowners would have taken the photo they showed at face value. Roofing – Below Expectations The roof was better, but not what I’d expect from a Platinum Owens Corning installer. I found multiple bad cuts, a shingle already tearing, areas where 3” nails were used (a hazard when accessing the attic), and poorly installed drip edge. We’re still finding nails in the yard. Six months later, the roof is still visibly wavy. I also had to specifically request that they send an inspector for the warranty inspection — something they should have arranged on their own — and when he did come o

They found black mold that we didn't know we had in our attic and added the proper amount of ventilation which we also did not have. They got the whole roof and garage done in one day and the next afternoon the gutters were installed within hours. These guys are super fast and everything was installed flawlessly. I'm happy and my wife is happy and I'm sure the neighbors are jealous hahaha 🫡☺️

I can’t say enough about Schoenherr Roofing. From the inspection, estimate, installation, and clean-up process, everything was done above and beyond my expectations. The daily progress updates kept me informed. The cleanup was flawless. Highly recommend to anybody looking for roof replacement. Josh, Rick, and the rest of the Schoenherr team were amazing to work with.

Above and beyond on every stage rather than just one of them is the part that stands out, Ray. Josh and Rick had a hand in most of it. Good to know the daily updates earned their keep, and that the cleanup held right to the end.

I had a great experience with Schoenherr Roofing and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing roof work. Before choosing Schoenherr, I had been dealing with another roofing company and the process had become stressful, unclear, and frustrating. I had concerns about warranty language, contract terms, and whether the written agreement actually matched the verbal promises being made. After months of trying to get comfortable with the project, I decided to go with Schoenherr instead — and I’m very glad I did. From the beginning, Schoenherr was professional, clear, and easy to work with. Their proposal was detailed, their scope of work was clearly explained, and they gave me confidence that the roof would be installed correctly. They used Owens Corning Duration FLEX Class 4 shingles, which was important to me because I wanted a high-quality roofing system that would hold up well and provide strong warranty protection. The communication was excellent before, during, and after the job. The crew was professional, the work was completed efficiently, and the cleanup was handled well. I also appreciated that they were willing to provide progress photos and documentation so I could feel confident about the installation, not just the finished appearance. What stood out most was the difference in trust. With Schoenherr, I felt like the written proposal, the communication, and the final work all matched. That gave me peace of mind after a very frustrating experience elsewhere. A roof is a major investment, and homeowners need to feel confident in both the workmanship and the company standing behind it. Schoenherr Roofing delivered that confidence for me. I’m very happy with my decision and would recommend them to anyone looking for a roofing company that communicates well, does quality work, and treats the customer professionally.

The line we're proudest of here isn't about the shingles, Adam. It's the one about the proposal, the communication and the finished work all matching. That's the whole job. Months of trying to get comfortable with a contract is a draining place to be, so we're glad the scope read clearly this time. Duration FLEX was a solid pick for what you were after, and the progress photos are there for exactly the reason you named. Thanks for a write up this careful. It'll be useful to the next homeowner sitting where you were.

We had the team at Schoenherr Roofing do our roof, gutters and insulation. They were extremely professional and were able to schedule and complete all three phases of the project in about a week! The onsite team was great and clean up each day and at the end of the project was meticulous.

Thank you, Tracy! Full insulation in about a week takes real coordination, and we're glad the crews delivered. Daily cleanup matters as much to us as the work itself. Thanks for the photos too, and for trusting us with your home.

Korey, Richard, Chris, Bryan and Josh did all the preparation for the roofing project. Because of their outstanding work, the day of the project started and ended without a hitch. Ingrid and the entire roofing crew, assigned by them, were outstanding. We had been dreading this project for a few years, but Schoenherr Roofing made it worry free.
