  Terrible customer service. Had an appointment booked for someone to come see our home and give me an estimate. Didn't show up but he called to rebook for 3 days later. Didn't show again and this time not even a call back. Going somewhere else.

  Scheduled an appointment for a quote almost 2 weeks in advance, even received a calendar invite. Waited almost two hours, called the office to see what the status of the appointment was and he said he would call the rep I had the appointment with and call me right back. It is now the next day and I have not heard from anyone at Rydel.

  Unfortunately, I can not speak on their work, only their customer service. Saw them at a home show and they did a great job selling their services to us. So, we had them come out for an assessment and to give us a quote on eavestroughs. He told us he would email us in a few days with the quote, and that was a month ago now. I've sent them emails and even called them, but still no one has got back to us. Needless to say we went with someone else. Two stars because he was a nice guy. Just horrible at getting back to you. All salesman, no service.

  Coles notes: Use a different company. UPDATE: the roof is now leaking, the snow guards are coming off and they're saying that they are not responsible in spite of my having paid for a 10 year warranty on the work done. I am beyond frustrated, to say the least. Rydel Roofing is a Franchise. The one in particular that we were working with was for the Ottawa Valley. The salesman/general contractor was Mackenzie Mercier. Rydel Roofing does not do the work on your house themselves. They subcontract everything. Doing this they avoid responsibility for just about everything that happens on your home. They don't stand behind their warranty and they avoid clear communication and responsibility at every turn. The price was competitive. The timeline sounded good. The reputation seems like a good one. These are all the things that made me go with this company. Do not get sucked in by guaranteed anything. Do not take their word that they will sort things out. We hired them to do 3 things. Replace our sizeable roof. Replace and repair the soffit and facia. Replace the eaves trough. We hired them early June, the roof was on late November. The quality of work was, as far as I knew, great. So were the guys that did it. More to follow on this. Following the roof being completed, we were pressured to amend our arrangement (6 mos 0%) with them on our contract to accommodate the delays in their getting the roof completed. I don’t know everything about what caused the delays, just that they happened and they weren’t our fault. We declined and asked when they were doing the soffit and fascia. They sent two gents to our house to start the work… in Dec. we were told it would take two days… they started on the 27th and “finished” on the 12th of January. The lines are all over the place, there are ripples in the fascia and it doesn’t appear they used a level or a square to do any of it. They didn’t have the clothing for the weather they were working in, they didn’

  Hands down the worst company Ive had dealings with as a contractor. First time using their services I caught the crew burying old shingles instead of removing and discarding them. Second time using their service, their crew was arrested on site for drinking and doing drugs and had to come back three times to fix bad work. And now lastly they fumbled their estimate three times and now refuse to honour their signed estimate and are not returning my calls. They were a no show on their scheduled start date, obviously delaying my project. Ive now been waiting 5 days for a response from the company owner.

  Changed my original Post because Adel reached out and didn’t do his proper job. do not do business with them because they didn’t follow the quote at all. How these companies are still in business, God knows. They said that they will put saddle up behind the chimney but it was never installed. I didn’t go up to check the saddle because I trusted the owner. One year later, the neighbour told me that there is no saddle because they paid half of the cost. Now we paid so much money to these guys and they didn’t even do their job properly. Can only wish certain things!. adel, if you want loyal customers, do your job properly and perhaps you will get some good business.

  They didn't finish job on Friday, came back Sunday but it had already rained on Saturday. Which caused large amounts of water damage, which they denied to was their fault.

  A Tim Hortons cup was ditched out the passenger window of their work truck while getting off the end of Hwy 5 near Wakefield - SeaDoo in tow. I personally wouldn't want to work with a company that thinks throwing trash out of their vehicle window is okay. You can stay on the Ontario side.

  Our experience with Rydel was wonderful - from the first meeting through to the final completion and clean-up. The group of employees at our home each day were pleasant, respectful and hard-working. We have an old house with a steep roof, limited access, and unexpected issues that were dealt with quickly and with great communication. It is without hesitation that we highly recommend Rydel Roofing.

  I met the Rydel team at the Home and Garden Exhibition and they were friendly and professional in their approach. That was impressive. I hired them to fix my siding which was a small job nothing huge but they didnt palm me off for this minor repair of which they didnt make much money,they also repaired my roof where a previous company had been in 4yrs prior and botched it up and wouldn't repair their shoddy work...Rydel have fixed it so up to this point they are a excellent option,I would not hesitate to use them moving forward.

  Great job quality. Very professional. Went over details of the job before and after. Communicated throughout the job in a timely manner. Followed up with an inspection of the roof and attic. I also liked the fact that the owner was personally involved.
