Buyer beware. Unfortunately they actually live up to the negative stereotype that roofing companies already have. Without getting into a long rant about my experience, I'll offer a few tips: - Took half a year to get everything completed including the multiple times they had to come back to fix their own mistakes and improper installation, but then they'll have the nerve to chase invoices and threaten litigation in a hostile manner if invoices are not paid in a matter of days. They'll switch from friendly to hostile at the drop of a hat. - Make sure everything is in writing, including your deductible amount (common sense obviously, but a lesson I need to re-learn I guess), and in my opinion do not allow them to write "+ Additional Supplements" anywhere that indicates total cost, as it will force them to bring each invoice change to you before tacking it on your invoice. In my case it was made very clear from the beginning that my out of pocket deductible was a certain amount, only to increase 2.5x by the end of the job, and I still didn't even get all the appraised damages repaired. They're own staff get confused with their invoices and how complicated they have made them, and had I not protested as much as I did, they would have never realized they were charging me for items that should have been charged to insurance, worth thousands of dollars, then they will tell you it's your responsibility to make sure their invoices are accurate 🤣 (yes, they actually told me this). Find a different roofing company, unfortunately these guys don't care about your experience, your needs, or you. Unbeknownst to them, I was planning to refer multiple family members and friends if they conducted professional and honest business, but they proved otherwise. Good riddance!

Poor quality work. Consistently made excuses. An “easy three day job” turned into 3-month disaster that has permanently damaged my home. Work with anyone else.

Avoid this company! I had a roof leak and hired RoofTec to fix it. In about 6 months it started to leak again, from the same location. I had to pay them $300 to come out for a warranty visit, Ive never had anyone charge for a warranty visit. Their patch work started deteriorating in less than a year (see pictures). They did not attempt to correct their work, instead I had to hire someone else to correct their poor work.

Hi Mike, Thank you for your feedback. I want to clarify a few points regarding the issues you've raised. The photos you posted are not from the area we repaired. We addressed the heavily damaged section on the other side of the AC unit. Since Google doesn’t allow photo attachments in responses, I’ve emailed you the pictures of the area we repaired to confirm that it differs from the one in your photos. Regarding the $300 charge, this was not for a warranty visit but for the service call. After inspecting the area 8 months post-repair, we found no issues with our previous work. However, we discovered an open hole in the wall where the AC lines enter, which had been left unsealed by the HVAC contractor. We sealed this hole and applied our standard service call fee. I asked you to wait a couple of weeks before paying to ensure the leak had been resolved, given the upcoming rainstorms. After receiving your payment, we assumed the issue was fixed. During our initial inspection in 2022, there were no signs of leakage in the area you’ve mentioned. The damage we repaired was extensive and had been leaking for some time. As roofs age, new leaks can develop. Without a full roof replacement, which you chose not to pursue at that time, ongoing repairs may be necessary. When you contacted us in January 2024, we recommended a full roof replacement based on the new condition of the roof, but we didn’t hear back from you. Please feel free to reach out if you have further concerns or need additional clarification. We’re here to help. Best regards, The RoofTec Team

I'm Very happy to work with Joel Thomas, owner of Rooftec. He is a very honest and hardworking individual. He was in the neighborhood doing roof inspections after we had a small hail storm. I normally don't talk to solicitors that ring my doorbell. I liked his two people that rang the doorbell. They were not pushy or aggressive and very friendly and knowlegeable. I decided to let Joel come by and do the inspection about an hour later. He looked everythng over and he did not think we needed a new roof. I'm a handy guy and do a lot of my own maintanence and went up on the roof wth him. He recommended that I do some caulking, did not try to sell me the repair service. Our home was built in 1999 and still has the original roof so I showed him the original skylights 27+ years old, the old dome plastic type. They were yellowed and cracking. He suggested I look at a company called Velux and he measured the area and a few days later gave me an estimate to replace the skylights. I needed to see the product before I could decide so Joel contacted Marty, the sales rep for Velux and arranged a meeting for me and my wife to visit their warehouse in Broomfield. Marty showed us the skylights they offered and we chose a basic model that has the retractable shade. He also answered a lot of questions I had about the type of glass and LowE coating, warranty...etc. The shade operates off of a solar charged battery and when fully closed is a blackout shade. We have remote controls to operate each shade. He just installed two of these in our livingroom and they look and work great. He and his helper Nolan, came early around 7 AM since it was still cool out, it was forecasted to get up to 99 degrees today. I like the way Joel works, he takes his time and does things right. When it is time for me to get a new roof I am planning to call Joel/Rooftec. It's hard to find honest and hardworking people in the roofig business.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. Reviews like yours truly mean a lot to us. We know inviting someone to inspect your home requires trust, so we're grateful you gave Joel the opportunity to earn yours. Providing honest recommendations, even when that means telling a homeowner they don't need a new roof, is something we believe is simply the right way to do business. We're thrilled to hear you're happy with your new Velux skylights and that Joel and Nolan were able to make the entire process a positive one. We'll be sure to share your kind words with them. Thank you again for your trust, and whenever the time comes for that new roof, we'll be honored to help. Enjoy your new skylights!

From start to finish, this was the smoothest process. The team was professional, communicative, and did excellent work. The roof looks great, and I was especially impressed with how thorough the cleanup was afterward — you’d never even know they had been there. If I ever need a roof again, I know exactly where I’m going. Highly recommend!

Your attic in July can reach 140°F — and that trapped heat bakes your shingles from below, raises your cooling bills, and can shorten the life of your roof. The fix is balanced ventilation: intake at the eaves, exhaust near the ridge, so hot air escapes instead of building up. If you're not sure how your attic breathes, RoofTec Precision Exteriors can take a look and give you an honest assessment. Serving Arvada and the surrounding communities.
