Installation: I hired Roofing Monkeys in the fall of 2023 to replace my complete roof (2 flat, sections with shingles). The contract included adding insulation as part of the new roof. During the installation, I noticed the team was not adding any insulation, so I notified the sales team, and they insisted it was being added. I sent them a series of photos showing they were not adding any insulation, and they did not respond with any resolution. The quality of the work was sub-par; there were areas of the flat roof with tar-shaped footprints. These were my first red flag that this company was not to be trusted, but at this point the new roof was mostly installed, so I had to live with it. First leak: Fast forward to the fall of 2024, my flat roof started leaking. They sent out a repair crew, and he needed to spend almost 3 hours repairing the flat roof. He informed me that the team that installed my 3rd floor roof didn't secure it correctly, and it had lifted up and was waterlogged. He had to cut out a large section of the flat roof and rebuild it. He then asked me if anywhere else on the roof was leaking, filling me with extreme confidence in the quality of their work. He indicated that other areas may have not been secured correctly. Second leak: In January 2026, the same roof started leaking again in almost the same location. I contacted the Roofing Monkey support line, and they informed me a repair crew could come out the following Tuesday at 9am (4 days later). On the Tuesday, nobody arrived, and I tried calling to see where they were. Brian did not respond to my call and only texted to call later. I asked where they were, and he said they would instead come Thursday. Over the next 1.5 months, they kept saying they would come on a specific day, then not show up, and I would have to call/text to ask where they were, and they would have to reschedule for another 1-5 days later. By my count, they promised to come 7 times and never came. They also never notified

Hi James, we highly suggested add ISO. Budget friendly is an option, which we did as friendly as we could . I sent supervisor twice, and repair team 4 times, nobody at homeowner’s end could showed up at the agreed time. Let me know if you’d like me to send the supervisor one more last time. Thanks.

From the outset everything thing was excellent. We were very satisfied with the work and they were prompt, courteous and very efficient . We highly recommend them!

Had water coming into the sunroom during heavy rain, called Roofing Monkeys yesterday to arrange next day for a free inspection / estimate. Chris from Roofing Monkeys came by on time and identified the likely issue (slash in the shingle) and patched it up on the spot. Great friendly and professional, I will use this business in the future and recommend.

Updated to 3 stars: pretty solid response from the owner. I've upgraded my rating accordingly. Original 1 star review: Maybe don't leave your unprofessional junk mail in a slot that clearly says no junk mail? I can tell you that someone who is so incapable of reading simple instructions probably shouldn't be working on your home, let alone your roof. Or maybe they're so desperate that they ignored that? Either way these aren't the signals of a well run business. I also suggest everyone look at their lowest rated review about warranty. And more importantly look at their deleted response. No amount of fake reviews from your friends can make that go away. Yikes.

  Reply from the business

Thanks for letting us know; we’re very sorry someone left material in a slot labeled "no junk mail" and for the concern that caused. That behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect our standards, and we will address it with the crew and reinforce instructions and training. We take warranty issues and the integrity of our reviews seriously and will review the items you referenced, including any internal responses, to ensure transparency and proper handling. Please contact us through the contact form on our website with any details (address and date) so we can investigate and make this right.
