  Recently noticed a leak from my back bedroom causing damage to the wall by the window. My fiancé saw a hole on the roof, so we figured that's where it was coming from. I contacted Roof Smart and the receptionist said they would be sending out a guy named Matt the next day. Matt was overconfident on what he THOUGHT the problem was and had a nasty attitude. He NEVER went on top of my roof, even after I mentioned my concern. He blamed it on the window instead. Decided to go with another company, who went on my roof, saw the problem, patched it up, and then made an appointment to repair it.

  We at Roof Smart would like to apologize for your recent experience. Our normal process is to enter the customer's attic to appraise any and all issues they may be having. There may have been multiple areas affected and we like to be completely thorough. Only then do we get on the roof to do an assessment.   We hired RoofSmart in early spring of 2021 to install a metal roof, and skylights on our Sanibel house. Once started, it took them well over four months to complete the job. Their large ladder stayed propped up against our house for so long that neighbors were getting their number off of the yard sign, and calling them to complain. I tried reaching out SEVERAL times for updates, and to let them know that our new sky lights were leaking every time it rained. I was always transferred to John’s voicemail, however once the contract was signed, John made himself unavailable. He never once returned a call. My husband was finally able to track down the number for John’s installer by going back through his phone. The installer was kind and professional, and came to fix the issue with the skylights. It would be many weeks before we saw anyone again to finish the job. I wanted to write a review then, but my husband suggested not doing so as we may need them for repairs later. That time came after Ian. The roof stayed intact during Ian, but we had a leak in the ceiling of a bedroom after the storm. I called RoofSmart twice in a three week period, not specifically asking for John, but to see about a repair. True to form, I was transferred straight to John’s voicemail. True to form.. John did not bother calling me back. My general contractor ended up getting his guy to look at it. It was a minor fix. Their lack of of customer service is astonishing really, and I’ve never experienced anything like it before. At this point, I wouldn’t hire them to roof a dog house.. much less recommend them to anyone.

We were in partially difficult situation after Ian with the amount of need coming in daily. I do know when you posted this review we still had not even gotten access to Sanibel Island yet.   I had originally used them to replace my roof 2 years ago. A few of my neighbors had their roof replaced as well. When we use one company we refer them to others. They were great before however after Hurricane Ian I had called a few times and left voicemails initially right after the Hurricane. I understand they were overwhelmed like every other company so I shopped around to get a quote. I finally get a call yesterday from someone stating I would get a call from Frank. Well Frank called me later that afternoon asking me if I needed a reroof. I explained I only needed some shingles to be replaced and the soffit to be repaired. I had mentioned to him that I had hired someone to come out in February to do it but I still wanted to get a quote from them and give them my business since they had done my roof. After that he was VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! He said why should he provide a quote if I had hired someone. He’s not going to provide a quote and continued to question why. He then stated I probably hired some “off the road guy” and he assumed I was going to be going through my insurance company to pay. I had explained to him that it was just a quick verbal agreement and I had hired a company based out of Naples and I wanted them to do it because they had installed my roof and I would pay in cash. He wasn’t interested in helping I guess because all he said was “ if it falls through just give us a call back” YEAH RIGHT. I am not recommending them to anyone. I’ll be more than happy to take my money somewhere else.

  Dear Leiliana, I am sure there was some sort of misunderstanding. Frank is one of our most helpful sales estimators we have. He tries to go above and beyond with everyone of his customers. I do not know the complete backstory BUT I do know post Hurricane Ian was a trying time for everyone.   Tried to get an estimate from this company two different scheduled appointments no shows four different phone calls. Frank said he wasn't the cheapest but he was the best. I would disagree with him

  Been almost 2 weeks waiting for someone there to come out and estimate for gutter install. I've called twice and was told they would call me the next day. Nothing, apparently they don't need the business, gonna go with Advance Seamless Gutters. They at least called me back and had an estimate in within a week

  I've used Roof Smart for my personal home and they have replaced quite a few roofs for my clients. Everyone is very helpful and professional! They are polite, straight forward and keep their word.   Frank was very polite and respectful. He repaired the vents and caulking on our roof in a timely manner. After a really hard rain, we've had no more issues with leaks. Frank did an exceptional job. Would definitely recommend Roof Smart and especially Frank!
