Roof Life did some minor repairs and clean up in 2024. Work was satisfactory though communications and follow up were tedious. Moss growth has now returned, within warranty. I called them over a month ago and was promised a call back from …

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry your experience didn't meet expectations. Patrick was able to assess the roof and confirmed the growth was algae, which is not covered under the warranty. Your no-moss warranty remains fully intact. We appreciate your patience and your feedback.

Instructed Roof Life not to treat our roof because we were away on vacation and could not move our car from the driveway to prevent any overspray. They still came. They also left the gate open and didn’t fully shutoff the hose. We weren’t home so water ran for over 48 hours.

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. Our team operates on a pre-scheduled route unless we receive confirmed changes through our office. We always aim to be respectful of property, and we’ll review this internally to ensure better communication moving forward. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

The company does get a star for excellent office staff, with prompt responses. My experience with the person coming out to give me a quote was poor. He drove up to my house, knocked on the door, told me he didn't bring a ladder so he couldn't get on my roof, his phone didn't have great reception and left. Less than 30 seconds at my house. He then sent me an estimate for over $21.50/sqft of roof. That's roughly 2x-4x the average price across the state of Oregon. They wanted $21K for ~1000 sqft of roof. They never looked at my roof, never gave me options, talked schedule, timeline, just showed up (15 minutes late), knocked on my door told me they couldn't do anything left and sent me an outrageous price estimate... If you like burning money for no reason go for Roof-Life of Oregon.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We apologize that your interaction with our consultant did not meet your expectations. Regarding your concern about our ability to access your roof: while we always carry ladders on our rigs, there are times when the extreme pitch or unique structure of a roof makes it unsafe to climb on. In such cases, we rely on alternate methods, such as ground assessments or aerial technology, to provide an estimate. We understand how this might have seemed like we were unprepared, and we apologize for not communicating this more effectively during the visit. Regarding the cost concern, our pricing reflects the comprehensive scope of work we include in our estimates, which may differ from others in the market. This includes premium materials, expert craftsmanship, and our commitment to long-term performance and customer satisfaction. Again, we apologize for not meeting your expectations.

Employees road rage in company vehicles. I will avoid. I advise you to do the same.

It’s very difficult to address the action without knowing the specifics of your complaint. However, if you were unjustly offended by one of our employees, we are truly sorry.

Sadly, our experience with Roof Life is not like others posted. Poor communication on their side left us with a job done that changed our roof from subtle to a look that makes me frustrated and angry every day I look at it. We had no idea what the final appearance would be and have received no help in resolving our frustration. Make sure you know what you are getting!!

Hello Debbie. Thank you for your feedback. We apologize for the frustration. Your consultant has been in contact with you about your project and finding a resolution for your concerns.

We had Roof Life out many years ago to replace part of our roof and they did a great job. Unfortunately, our recent experience was not good. One of their employees came out to take a look at the condition of our roof and assess the repairs needed. When I asked him how it looked, he said "tired" with some attitude. Meanwhile I'm thinking "Well, I'm so sorry we don't meet your expectations". I asked him again what he thought and he blew me off with "I'll send you an estimate". Ten days later, no estimate so I call the office and the admin says she will remind him. I never heard from them again. I can't stand contractors who ghost potential customers.

One star only because they don't service townhouses. I'm sure they are very lovely folks and are professional. But I sent out a request only to be told they don't do townhouses. Perhaps they should mention this on their website. Maybe I missed it?

We used Roof Life of Oregon to treat and maintain our shake roof. They were adequate for that. However, we needed to replace two skylights and they bid to do them. One worked out fine. The other, it turned out was not the standard size. They did not measure before installing the wrong sized skylight. Then we spent money replacing flashing and shakes as they recommended before they admitted it was the wrong size. In the meantime it leaked into our house. They eventually took back the skylight but refused to compensate for the extra work done to fix a problem they created. We ended up replacing the roof due to age and damage. The new roofer put in the correct sized skylight for less cost than Roof Life of Oregon had quoted for the custom skylight. Patrick, the owner, when a problem arose was condescending to us and was difficult to deal with.

Diane and Barry, Thank you for your review. We strive to provide quality communication and always appreciate and encourage all our clients to provide input and reviews. We were surprised when we received your review. We did refund the total cost of the skylight and installation as we had promised. We ordered replacements for the existing skylights. It was only during the removal of the existing skylights that we discovered that one wasn’t sized correctly and had been forced to fit. Once we identified the problem, we notified you that the curb had been modified by the original contractor which caused the flashing/skylight union to be questionable. After discovering this, we offered to create a new proposal to rebuild the curb and order a custom skylight that would fit as designed and eliminate the problem going forward. At that time, you indicated that you wanted to wait and see if the additional costs would be necessary. Every project is unique. When things are discovered, we do our best to relay the information and provide solutions. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience. Our goal is to provide all our clients with the best information regarding their roofs so they can make the best decisions.

Team did a terrific job. Thorough, worked hard, and cleaned up well (a huge issue when you are power washing a large roof). The team was professional, pleasant, and cognizant of trees, plants, and other items as they worked. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Extremely responsive despite my long delays, competitively priced (I obtained multiple inspections and quotes), and exceptionally thorough. They were also happy to communicate by text and email, which meant I didn't have to miss a single work meeting or take time off. That was a huge benefit for me. I'm dealing with an insurance company that diagnosed roof issues using drone photos and has been scrutinizing every detail. HUGE thank-you to Daniel, who went out of his way to return and replace a single damaged shingle that wasn't causing any problems. He also provided a video of the repair so I could speak confidently with my insurance company about the condition of my roof.

The team just left our house, and we had an excellent experience with Riccardo, Marcello, and Sergio. They were professional, courteous, friendly, answered all of our questions, and even cleaned our skylight. We are looking forward to being moss-free and will recommend Roof Life of Oregon to our friends. Thank you!

I sent an inquiry to the Roof Life team and they got back to me within 24 hours. They went and inspected my roof, left me a great video detailed with steps I needed to take and how to remove the algae build up happening and did it with so much kindness! I couldn't recommend them enough

We've used Roof life of Oregon a few times to repair roof leaking issues and replace roof tiles after installing a new gas fireplace venting stack. They were always attentive and quick to respond. And best price from competing bids. We will always go to them first from here on out.

Why Roof Leaks Aren’t Always Easy to Find Finding a roof leak without the right training or tools can be challenging because water rarely travels straight downward from the point of entry—it often creates a convoluted path across roof decking, rafters, insulation, and framing before finally emerging inside a home. So, by the time moisture becomes visible on a ceiling or wall, weeks or months may have already passed since the moisture found its way into the roofing system.Jul 27, 2026Learn more
