  We initially chose Rising Star for their prompt response and positive customer service reviews, but our experience fell far short of expectations. After receiving a timely quote for a new flue liner, chimney caps, and maintenance, we quickly signed the contract and mailed a 50% deposit, as we were told work would be scheduled upon receipt. However, communication broke down almost immediately after our check was deposited. We had to follow up multiple times to schedule the installation, and even then, things were chaotic. Our first scheduled appointment was canceled without notice, leading to unnecessary time off work. Despite reassurances from the project manager that the job would be prioritized, we spent days trying to confirm the rescheduled dates, only to be met with silence or vague promises. Ultimately, the crew arrived days later than planned. On the day of installation, the crew showed up late, left multiple times to retrieve forgotten or broken parts, and abruptly left in the afternoon without informing us whether the job was complete or when they’d return to retrieve their tools (which are still at our house). We were left unsure if it was safe to turn the furnace back on or use our fireplace, and once again, no one was available to provide answers without persistent follow-up on our end. It took us three days of calling and leaving messages just to reach someone to confirm that the work was completed and let them know we have their tools. Overall, Rising Star’s communication and scheduling were unprofessional and caused significant inconvenience. We lost three days of work for a one-day project and had to chase updates daily, which is completely unacceptable. When hiring a contractor, we expect proactive scheduling, clear communication, and reliability—none of which we received. We regret hiring Rising Star and would not recommend their services.

  Had a couple metal roof panels slide down a few inches last year. This company came out to "fix" things. Fast forward to this year and we're having the same issue with the same panels. Guy from Rising Star came out and denied ever working on it in the first place (pretty unprofessional, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt to get things done right). He said he'd give us a call back with a quote. A month later and several follow up calls with absolutely no response. I know it isn't a big job but I guess a little communication and honesty is too much to ask for with Rising Star. Checks a lot of negative boxes...

  Made an appointment with "Chris"..he showed up on time for our 3 pm appointment, but proceeded to remain in his truck for about 10 minutes, in my driveway with the motor running. I went to the door a number of times, but he did not …

  Review from friend was solid, everything going as expected until his sub-contractor didn't tarp the roof. Called Chris immediately and he said it would be taken care of, water to the basement, major damages and they sent a contractor in for cleanup after I handled most of it on my own and charged me for what I thought was cleanup and then they didn't reply to emails about the above and threatened to put a lien on my house. Didn't do work on contract, stated 'we make the call if it's necessary, it was on contract because that's (sic) standard'. Also voided warranty on 10k in skylights by improper install and kept stating they emailed gaurantee but has not. Just conversed with owner Chris tonight (late night text) and very confrontive, whole process was confrontive in manner. Also subs removed insulation and did not replace which I only recently found out about and had to replace as it was causing a cold corner of the area.

  My experience with Rising Star comes from an encounter with one of their drunken drivers on a Sunday afternoon. I think people aught to know what kind of people that Rising Star hires before you consider doing business with them. Despite the fact that I was driving a red truck their driver drove straight out of a parking lot onto the road in front of me without stopping. I had to slam my brakes to avoid colliding with them. They proceeded to tailgate the car in front of me while weaving back and forth before speeding off at a high rate of speed down a side street. Who knows which worker or driver you will get but all I can tell you is my brief but scary encounter with "Rising Star".

  Found Rising Star through a social media promotion they posted. Requested an emergency tarping of a roof on one of our properties and a quote to do the repair. After several attempts to make contact with the company, there was no response. I moved on to another company.
