  After your comments- You stopped by, committed to having your people come out as a service call and it was another no show. Look at the other reviews for Rick. You'll see similar experiences. (Beware it seems hit or miss) You seemed more eager to take the 5k for a repair that didn't last Empty apologies don't fix shoddy work Having your roof fixed is expensive and you put trust in a professional to do it right and stand by their work. Read the negative reviews too and youll see that youre taking a huge gamble on which guy will show up, the competent or incompetent one

  I had Rick John install a new roof several years ago to remedy an existing leak issue. The leak returned not once, but twice after the new roof was installed and after Rick John did some touch-up work around the flashing along with installing a cap for my chimney. After contacting Rick John personally to fix the issue again (for the 3rd time!), I was given his absolute word that he would solve the problem. As he said, "it's my reputation." I canceled work with other contractors to allow Rick John to complete the work and bent over backwards to accommodate his schedule to get absolutely nothing done in return. His word is worthless and the quality of his work is even worse. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for any roofing need you have. He talks a great game, but is completely untrustworthy. A 1 -star rating is too high.

  This is NOT a real review of RickJohn Roofing. Al Lambert owned and still has a financial stake in Three Rivers Roofing. He is posting bad reviews on multiple roofing company profiles in hopes of discrediting us. We will ask Google to remove the review, but in the meantime please try to forgive Al's poor judgement.

  Like every business owner, I am pulled in many different directions. Especially in good weather when so many homeowners in Pittsburgh are looking to get needed work done before the weather changes. I freely admit that in the midst of the busy season, I got a little confused about Cherie's project. Although it was frustrating for Cherie, I'm glad that I kept calling her to make sure we got the work scheduled and completed, even after it had been. I'd rather be guilty of calling too much, rather than the alternative. Within hours of seeing Cherie's post, I reached out to her and set a meeting to discuss it. The day after the meeting, I cleaned out her gutters for free, as promised. As Cherie said, this was a communications issue on my part and I sincerely apologized to her for that. At no time was the quality of our work in question.

  As owner of RickJohn Roofing I was very sorry to see this review on many levels. First and foremost, safety is our #1 priority - safety when my craftsmen are up on a roof, or traveling to and from a project site. I also believe strongly in Google reviews and the important part they play in modern information sharing and decision making by the public when trying to hire a company or even try a new restaurant. Mr. Whiteman had every opportunity to call the number on the truck so I could have addressed this issue immediately instead of posting a review about it, which was not intended to solve any perceived problem. Because of that, I have to question his motives.

  My roof leaked from day one after paying a huge amount of money for a totally new roo. They were extremely aggressive in terms of trying to wiggle out of fixing anything or taking any responsibility. A total nightmare that had serious negative consequences on my life.

  RickJohn roofing was incredible to work with and I feel very good knowing my slate roof was worked on by them. Keith was able to inform me of everything I needed to know about my new slate roof, the maintenance on it and what to expect from the work he'd do. When he was finished he went over it all and showed me before and after pictures. Would highly recommend RickJohn to anyone who wants to feel safe and secure with their roofing needs.

  RickJohn Roofing is one of the few local companies still specializing in slate roofs, and their expertise truly shows. As a homeowner with a slate roof, I appreciate how knowledgeable, friendly, and kind their team is. They’re in high demand because of their unique skill set, but they communicate well throughout the process, providing updates and always remaining patient and courteous. I highly recommend them!   we have been dealing with a roof leak for a little bit, we have slate so it was tough to find someone who still specializes in slate roofs. we were recommended to Rick John Roofing and we are very satisfied. very easy to communitcate with, willing to work with you and the guys that came to do the repair were very pleasant, tidy and did the job well. we would recommend Rick John Roofing to family and friends. (now hoping for a rainy day to make sure we are completely leak free now!!) lol

  Highly recommend RickJohn. I don’t usually write reviews but I was really impressed with them. Rich got back to me very quickly with a quote and the roofer did great work fixing our ridge cap on our slate roof (sorry I didn’t catch his name but he was great!). This was in the middle of a super snowy winter and they got it done as soon as they safely could. Kind, genuine and very professional people that you can trust. Very grateful to have come across them. Their payment system was also super convenient! Great all around. Will be using them and recommending them going forward.

  This past week, I have had the pleasure corresponding with Keith and Kameron - but our conversations had nothing to do with getting a roof repaired....but PLEASE keep reading! While at work this week, my cell phone rang and the caller ID said, "RickJohn Roofing". Something told me to answer, even though I thought it was a wrong number or a telemarketer. I answered the phone and to my surprise, it was my husband using someone else's phone to call me from the side of the busy highway. His voice was shaky, but quickly reassured me he was okay. While driving on a three lane highway, my husband was flagged down by two guys in a truck and they alerted him to pull over because there was fire coming from underneath my husband's SUV! The guys in the RickJohn Roofing truck pulled off of the highway to help. As my husband exited the vehicle on fire, he began running towards the good samaritans, Keith and his son, Kameron (of RickJohn Roofing). Their swift action probably saved my husband's life. The black smoke poured from the vehicle as it quickly became engulfed in flames and continued to burn down to the frame for the next 5-7 minutes until the fire department arrived. Needless to say the vehicle was a total loss, but the most important thing is that my husband was safe and unharmed. He didn't have time to grab his phone when getting out of the vehicle, and it, too, was a loss. Keith and Kameron stayed on site with my husband, offering support by recording and photographing, and letting my husband use their phone to call and text me, which was the only thing that brought me ANY comfort. I was able to finally get to him an hour later. Upon arrival, I met these brave helpers who stayed on scene with my husband that entire time! The day was emotionally exhausting, however, the bright spot in our day was when Keith and Kameron sent a text message that evening (as they had my number in the phone from earlier that day) to check on us to make sure that we were doin

  Called several roofers and this company was the only one to return my call. Had leaks from the past storms and took a few days to locate all the problems, but repairs made and now very dry. Great prices and service crew great to work with. Highly recommend.
