  We believe improper gutter/slip flashing/drip edge installation by Ratliff caused significant water damage to our home. As shown in the attached video, water was able to flow down between the gutter and the fascia instead of all going into the gutters. Gutters were free of debris. The water was only dripping down from the backside of the gutter, not the front, showing they were not clogged. The video was taken at the end of a rainstorm when very little water was present. Unfortunately, when it was raining hard, a huge amount of roof water streamed down between the gutter and the fascia. During windy conditions, that water was blown into the seams of our siding and came into the house. The water damaged drywall, insulation, window trim, baseboards, carpet & pad, paint, and underneath the siding materials. We reached out to Ratliff when we realized what was happening was not a roof leak, but a leak through the siding. Dave and Juan from Ratliff came and did a thorough inspection, removing siding and confirming that the water was being blown through the siding. Previous to Dave and Juan’s inspection, our roofers, in a kind effort to help us stop the leak, noticed the misplaced slip flashing/ drip edge and fixed it. Dave noticed that the roofers had done that and put it in his report. We also showed him the attached video of what happened when it rained (before the fix) and that extra water was present to be blown into the siding. After their visit, we were emailed a report and given quotes for Ratliff to do additional paid work - siding repair and/or replacement. There was no offer of restitution. We then responded and requested restitution. We received an email from the owner, Danielle Ratliff, stating that they do not believe they improperly installed the gutters, that an engineer should be hired to assess the leak, and that they stand behind their work. We’re sorry to hear about the water issues you’re facing and want to assure you that we approached your situation with professionalism and care. When you contacted us, we responded promptly by sending our team out to perform a thorough, on-site inspection-even though your project was outside of the warranty period. We do this free for all of our customers regardless if it is still covered by warranty or not. Dave and Juan spent significant time removing siding and investigating the cause of the leak. During that inspection, it was noted that the home lacked house wrap behind the siding, which is a critical moisture barrier. This absence of water barrier leaves the structure more vulnerable to wind-driven rain—something well outside the scope of gutter installation and something that was happening well before we put gutters on your home.  Additionally, we documented our findings with photos and a written report, all of which were provided to you. We are also happy to share all of this documentation with a qualified third-party expert for independent review if that is the route you choose. Our team also noted that changes had been made to the flashing by another contractor prior to our inspection and now a new roof has been installed which further complicates the ability to assess the original conditions and would void a warranty even if you were still in the period. We’ve done everything we can to be accommodating throughout this process. We're sorry our findings weren’t what you hoped to hear, but we must stand by the evidence we observed and the integrity of our work.

I'm guessing from the area you are in, you have been working with someone that is illegally using our company name. This has happened several times where he has done this and left customers in a bad place.   We inclined to use Ratliff Contracting based on ALL 5 star reviews (how is that even possible), unless they provide exceptional service and we found it otherwise based on what we have experienced. TL;DR very quick to get things started to file claim, did not provide quotes or estimates for a transparent process, when the adjuster request more documentation things got really slow and no response Longer version: We had Ratliff inspecting roofs in the neighborhood and we agreed to use the free inspection based on all 5 star reviews. The sales guy is friendly and communicative, mentioned that we had hail damage and high probability of getting the claim approved. To his credit, he is right that there was hail damage on front and the back. But, to get full roof replacement the adjuster asked for details like color match, unavailability of original shingles etc... At this point things got really slow, they would schedule time to collect shingle for analysis and would not show up (this happened two times). The answer I would get is that they are busy as the weather is getting better, on one hand I understand they are busy but why would you work with other customers when you are not really interested or don't have the band width to help the customer base? After a month of initiating the claim, we were left in limbo, if we had known more, we would not even started this process with Ratliff. I came to know today (after waiting 10 days not hearing back from the sales guy) that Ratliff let go all sales members and hired new folks. I am sorry for the guy and can't blame him (as he is not part of the company anymore and not obligated to communicate with us anymore), but the management should be aware of the customers the previous team is in touch base with, they should have communicated well to provide a seamless service even in this unlike case of staff transition. Ratliff may provide a quality roofing based on all 5 stars ( I can not attest to that due to not using their s

  I apologize if you feel our service was not up to par. Please contact me directly at 614-702-7663 and I will personally address your issues and clear up any misconceptions you may have. This the reason that said sales person is no longer with us. He has left several of our prospects hanging and we are in the process of calling everyone. Again, I apologize if you are a product of someone that worked under us not taking care of his business. Unfortunately, it is part of our industry. Ratliff Contracting prides ourselves on our over communicating and treating each one of our customers like family and we would love the chance to change your 1 star to a 5 star, if you will give us the chance.

  Great company. Highly recommend. Wind storm ripped shingles off my old roof. David and his crew came out the next day and installed temporary patches at zero cost. I then scheduled estimates for repair and for full replacement. Dave came back out, fully inspected the roof, and provided the estimates. Dave knew everything about the process and the high quality products they use. I ended up having Ratliff do a full roof replacement. Very high quality work at a reasonable price. Please don't waste your money on the storm chasers. Use a local company that will do it right the first time and stand behind their products and installation standards.

  I had David from Ratliff come out for estimates and truly appreciated his thoroughness and honesty the whole time, never trying to upsell me and giving me great prices. I decided to go with them for new gutters and downspouts and the experience was flawless. They were patient with me as I kept delaying the date and when the date came, the installer arrived on time and did a great concise job pretty quickly. Now after a few rains, the gutters function perfectly and complement my home's exterior. Great communication throughout the project and fair pricing. Would absolutely use them again! 5/5 stars.

  So very happy with this company. I had gotten three quotes and almost cancelled their appointment. I am so glad I didn't. They were excellent across the board...from the first consultation to the clean up afterward. Great people and a great product!

  Ratliff Contractors recently installed a new roof on my house. David Kosto, the Project Manager, was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the roofing project. He brought samples of all of the roofing materials and explained their use. On the day of the installation he was on site to answer all of my questions, There was a slight problem that was taken care of to my satisfaction before he left. Brian Ratliff, the owner, was also on site during the installation and waas very helpful. I am very impressed with Ratliff Contractors and would recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

  Bryan, David, and Danielle were amazing to work with on our complete roof and gutter project on our forever home. These projects are big and expensive, homeowners should choose their contractors wisely. The Ratliff team is who you want on your project, they had great communication and took the time to explain the entire process patiently.
