Terrible work and clean up. I had a section of my roof replaced and new shingles on entire roof. When looking up while in my attic, the cheap presswood used was cut very badly. It was also fitted into place very poorly. Since having the work done, I have picked up several rusted roofing nails around my house. Two of them in the tire of my vehicle. Many options are available. Do not use this company !

This is certainly not the usual case or the standard that we have set for ourselves. I would love an opportunity to look into these concerns for you. We are always willing to re-sweep for nails for any that may have been missed during clean-up and if you have issues with installation, we have a warranty in place so I’m certain we can address any concerns. Please reach out and give us the opportunity to make this up to you- we can only fix issues we are aware of. Please call Trudi, Customer Service Manager at 225-757-6621 Update – August 17, 2026: We have not received a response to our request for the project information needed to investigate these concerns, and we have been unable to confirm which project this review relates to from the profile information alone. We remain ready and willing to help.

I am a neighbor of a current Premier South job site and am writing to express my frustration with the crew's conduct this morning. At 6:30 AM, approximately four trucks and a large crew arrived, waking my entire family by slamming doors and shouting. By 6:45 AM, loud machinery was in use. It is my understanding that local ordinances in Baton Rouge prohibit construction noise before 7:00 AM. Regardless of the legalities, starting work this loudly and this early shows a lack of consideration for the surrounding residents. We would appreciate it if future work adhered to more respectful (and lawful) hours.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand that construction activity can impact nearby residents, and we make every effort to balance project schedules with being respectful of the surrounding community while completing work safely and efficiently. We do wish we had been contacted at the time, as we’re always happy to check in with our crews and make reasonable adjustments when possible. Open communication helps us address concerns quickly and ensures projects move forward smoothly for everyone involved. We appreciate the feedback and the community’s patience during active projects.

This company is working on the roof at my apartment complex right. Its nonstop banging on the roof day and night. These workers are not good. No way it takes 5 days to do a roof

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand that roofing work can be noisy and disruptive, especially in an occupied apartment community, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience during the process. Roof projects can take several days depending on the size of the building, weather conditions, and the care required to ensure the job is done safely and correctly. Our team works during approved hours and is committed to delivering quality results that protect the property long term.

Found out from our roof replacement earlier this year Premier South install team left the exhaust vent from our heater/blower unhooked. Only found out because our CO alarm was going off during this last cold snap. Extremely dangerous and disappointed in the low level quality of care and detail displayed here. Would never recommend them to anyone after seeing this. **UPDATE** The Premier South Roofing admin team was quick to reach out and send a crew to rectify. Due to the life threatening nature of the event, I am still leaving this review up but have moved their star up from 1 to 2 because of their responsiveness and willingness to rectify.

Thank you for updating your review, bringing this to our attention and allowing us to make things right. We are very thankful your CO alarm worked as intended and that everyone was safe. We take safety very seriously, and once notified, our team acted quickly to investigate and correct the issue. As part of our ongoing commitment to safety and quality, this item is included in our standard post-installation review process. We appreciate you acknowledging our responsiveness and remain committed to standing behind our work.

PSRSM installed my gutters about 10 years ago. One of my gutters was damaged when having some other work done on my house. I contacted them to do the repair work, which they did. The side that was repaired started bending within 1 ½ years. I contacted them to come out to see what the problem was since it was on 1 ½ year old. The representative told me that when the gutters were installed 10 years ago, they were not done correctly (by PSRSM). I was told I should have had several more down spouts than I have. These down spouts are tied into my in-ground drainage. They did not offer any solutions, only they could bend the gutter back (not warrantied) or replace charging me. I very disappointed in them.

We’re sorry to hear you were disappointed with your recent experience. While we are always happy to assist our past customers when possible, it can be difficult to warranty or fully evaluate work that is approximately 10 years old, especially after additional work has been performed on the home over time. We do appreciate the opportunity to come out and provide recommendations, and we’re sorry we were not able to offer the resolution you were hoping for.

If there is a scammer operating in this area, this company fits the description. As part of the sale of our home, we completed a standard home inspection. After an issue was identified, our agent contacted PSRSM for an estimate. The company claimed the issue required a full roof replacement at $15,000 and complete stucco replacement at $16,000. We sought second and third opinions from two independent, reputable contractors. Neither found that the extensive work PSRSM recommended was necessary. Instead, both provided reasonable, targeted solutions that directly addressed the actual issues without resorting to fear based sales tactics. One particularly concerning claim from PSRSM was that an insurance company would not write a policy because the roof was eight years old, a statement that was flatly contradicted by other professionals. Be vigilant. This experience strongly suggests deceptive practices designed to pressure homeowners into unnecessary and expensive work. There are trustworthy companies available that provide honest assessments without attempting to scare customers into spending money they do not need to spend.

We want to provide some context for anyone reading this review. Our estimate was provided at the request of the seller’s real estate agent, not through direct engagement with the homeowner, and no work was performed. Based on the inspection findings available to us—including the age of the roof, a history of ongoing leaks despite prior patch repairs, and evidence of active leaking in the attic—we recommended a full reroof rather than another temporary repair. Regarding stucco, we did not recommend full replacement. We recommended limited stucco repair as needed to properly install flashing, due to widespread cracking and water intrusion contributing to the leak. Different contractors may offer different solutions, particularly when weighing short-term fixes versus long-term performance. Our responsibility is to provide an honest assessment and recommendations we can stand behind. We welcome a direct conversation and encourage the reviewer to contact us so we can discuss this further.

This was by far the most stressful, frustrating, unpleasant business experience I’ve ever had! We had to replace roofs on 2 large buildings after being hit by a tornado. We had leaks in both buildings where roof had all been replaced by them and after as well. One year later, I had to have almost the entire roof redone on one building by another company. Their employees were seldom supervised and caused major damages. Workers used our restrooms instead of portable toilets, tore up t-shirts and threw in toilets. They were using gasoline inside one building during business hours to clean something. It was almost impossible to speak with anyone in management. Workers would leave for the day with trash strewn everywhere and not return for weeks at a time! The leaking problems we have had were pointed out to workers and management and they were not properly addressed. One of their employees was flying a drone outside during our business hours and hit one our customers in the face leaving him with serious injuries. I could go on and on. I’m about to hire yet another roofing contractor to redo another shoddily done job on my other building. Worse decision I ever made by hiring this ridiculously inept, unqualified company. I can’t imagine the owner would condone these business practices.

Bought new house with brand new roof. Two years later multiple roof leaks. Company refused to honor warranty because previous homeowners bought the roof. Poor workmanship and customer service. Scheduled repair for first morning appointment and crew shows up more than 2 hours late. Will never use them again.
Reply from the business
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. As we discussed, the roof in question was installed about three years ago. It was not a full roofing system replacement—some existing components were left in place based on the choices made by the previous homeowners. The current issues appear to be related to those original components rather than our workmanship. Our warranty does not transfer to new homeowners, and in this case, it would have been expired regardless. We also want to clarify that while we did coordinate the visit with your husband via text, a specific arrival time was not confirmed. We understand this has been a frustrating situation and are always here to answer any further questions or concerns.

Outstanding work Premier South team for building our standing seam roof. We reached out to ask about vents and had no clue y’all would build our vents to go on our brick walls, Aced that to match our brick. We then asked who do yall recommend to build our chimney top cap and our salesman Jay tells us yall do that also. Within days the work was done and installed. This company was awesome. Can’t ask for a better company here in Zachary!! Thank you all. Always on time with communication and always met our standards. A1 in our book. 100% will use them again and refer others to them!

RJ delivered on his promises. Crews were prompt, professional and did a great job…..protected my landscaping and cleaned up after. RJ added a couple of upgrades that I think will increase the life of the roof.

From start to finish this company made replacing my roof a good experience. John Visalli took time to explain the process, products used and the how vents worked. He seem to genuinely enjoy answering all my questions. The Crew Aristides where professional and efficient. The crew really impressed me by how they worked together to do a fantastic job. Every step of the way from Andrew Brister and Lacie project Project coordinator everyone made roof replacement easy and less daunting.

We recently hired Premier South Roofing for a complete roof replacement, and they exceeded our expectations in every possible way. From the initial consultation to the final inspection, their team demonstrated an incredible level of project management, clear communication, and absolute ownership of the job. The project was completed exactly on time and strictly within budget, which is a rare find these days. What truly set them apart was the hands-on involvement and oversight from the owner (RJ McGimsey). It was clear from the beginning that they take immense pride in their work and hold their crews to the highest standards. The on-site management (Stephen & Christen) were incredibly knowledgeable, kept us updated throughout the day, and answered every question we had with complete transparency. We have a really steep two-story house with hip and ridge tiles. The crew itself was outstanding. They worked efficiently, treated our property with the utmost respect, and took extra care to protect our landscaping, deck, and perimeter. Their cleanup was so thorough you wouldn't even know a major construction project had just taken place. If you are looking for a roofing contractor that delivers top-tier craftsmanship, flawless execution, and genuine executive accountability, look no further than Premier South Roofing. They went above and beyond for us, and we highly recommend them to anyone in need of roofing services!

Premier South did an outstanding job replacing my roof and I would not hesitate recommending them. If you want a quality installation and a hassle free experience, look no further What sets them apart from their competitors is the personalized service they provided. I originally contacted Premier South to do a roof inspection to help me judge the remaining life span of my roof. They Informed me that I had hail damage that was associated with a 2025 event. Premier South conducted several additional site visits to mark up the damage areas in Advance of an insurance inspection to help ensure nothing would be missed After insurance approval, Premier South worked with my insurance company and property owners association to secure additional funding and approvals. They made it so easy for me. Communication was excellent and I found them to be very responsive to any request

Vent pipes run straight through the roof, and the collar sealing each one is almost always the first part to fail. Louisiana heat cycles harden that rubber until it shrinks and splits, often years before the surrounding shingles look tired. Water then follows the pipe down into the attic and surfaces as a ceiling stain several feet from where it actually got in, which is why Baton Rouge homeowners often go looking in the wrong spot. Boots are a routine repair once someone identifies them as the source.2 days agoLearn more
