  Thank you for the feedback. We take pricing transparency seriously, so we want to address this directly. Our decking replacement price is listed in the contract you reviewed and signed before work began — it is not added after the fact. We disclose it up front specifically because no roofer can see the condition of decking until tear-off. The per-sheet price includes the plywood, tear-out and disposal of the failed material, and skilled labor to install it — it is not comparable to the retail price of a bare sheet at a supply store. On this project, the existing carport roof had shingles installed over layers of felt with no solid decking beneath — a condition that made replacement mandatory. Installing a new roof over that would have failed inspection and voided the manufacturer warranty. We used 54 of the 56 sheets purchased, and any unused material is credited on the final invoice. We stand behind the work and the pricing, but we're always willing to walk through the job file line by line. Call our office and we'll set that up.

  In beginning they bent over backwards to get your business (money). After paying 15,300 for a metal roof by empire roofing we discovered water damage to the exterior of our home in several spots caused by improper installation on their part. I have a balance of 600.00 with them and refuse to pay this until the work is completed correctly and passes inspection. They are not wanting to do the logical solution which is fix what you caused to happen to my home first then I will release the retainer of 600.00! Not a very good workmanship at all!

  **Response from Owner:** We appreciate all feedback, even when it comes a year after the job is completed. Let’s clarify a few things for the record: We *did* go above and beyond to earn your business — just like we do for all our clients — and we delivered a full metal roof installation, which you approved and paid \$14,700 and you had a $600 dollar change order for ROTTEN WOOD which you approved and we replaced. What’s conveniently left out of your review is that you’ve had an outstanding balance of \$600 for over a year. That’s not a “retainer” — it’s an unpaid invoice. We kindly decline to perform any additional inspection or repairs on a job where the client has not fulfilled their contractual payment obligation. It’s unreasonable to expect service without settling what’s owed first — especially this long after the fact. If you’d like us to revisit the project and address any concerns, we’re happy to do so — once your account is brought current. Until then, we stand by the work completed and the terms agreed upon.

  Job was completed but not to my liking. A guy came out and looked at it we pointed out the dents and screws that were showing. Not sure if they enough spouts rain pours out gutters. Left screws all over that got into my inground pool. I wanted the spouts to aim from my pool so now all the rain fall that’s collecting dirt off my roof goes into my pool

Firstly, I noticed that you have an angled fascia board, which can result in the gutter not sitting perfectly flush with the board. Consequently, the screws on the back side may be more visible than desired. I want to assure you that this is a normal part of the installation process, unfortunately. Additionally, you mentioned a dent in the downspout based on the picture provided. However, upon closer inspection, it appears that the downspout comes pre-fabricated from the manufacturer in this particular design. The purpose of this design is to allow the metal to have bends without folding, ensuring structural integrity. I apologize for any confusion caused by this. Regarding the previous attempts to address these concerns, I want to emphasize that we sent one of our team members to your location on three separate occasions in an effort to rectify the issues and ensure your satisfaction. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we were unable to reach an agreement. I must also bring to your attention that the payment for the completed job is still outstanding, and there is a remaining balance of $440. I personally made several attempts to contact you in order to resolve all outstanding matters, but regrettably, I have been unsuccessful thus far. If you are willing, I would greatly appreciate another opportunity to discuss these matters and find a resolution. It is important to note that most of the concerns you raised are actually normal installation practices. However, if you would prefer different screws, we can certainly accommodate your request, albeit at an additional cost.
