  Two stars. I didn't realize that asking for a roof assessment came with an interactive riddle where the 'site visit costs $200' clue is only revealed after you've already locked in a date. A masterclass in burying the lead! Next time, maybe try leading with the price instead of the suspense.

  Hi Ben, Your phone call this morning had a total duration of one minute, during which our receptionist first clarified whether you were looking for a roof replacement estimate or repair work. Once you let her know that you wanted a repair to your roof, which you mentioned was in poor shape, she explained the two options available to you. The first option, as she explained, was a free remote quote based on photos you send to us. You didn’t want this option, as you explained that you have rotten sheathing on your roof, which you wanted to have looked at. She then explained that we could absolutely send someone out for an inspection, but the inspection does have a cost of $200, at which point you hung up on her. I’m not sure if you even heard her say that, once the inspection has been completed and you’ve received the estimate detailing the work that needs to be done, if you go forward with the repair work, we would apply the $200 inspection fee towards the cost of the repair work. While we are happy to provide free estimates, inspections are not free as you’re paying for the time and expertise of our roof inspector to take a thorough look at the entire roof and then provide detailed notes and photos to our office team to create an accurate estimate for you to know how to go forward. Given the short duration of your call, it seems a little misleading for you to write a review indicating that we’re trying to hide the repair cost simply because we took the time to make sure we understood the issue before making you aware of the cost associated with the inspection.   Customer Service The company has taken on a work load far more than they can handle and unfortunately the customer service has suffered due to that.

  Hi Marissa, We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with your Prairie Home experience. We pride ourselves on going the extra mile to satisfy our customers. Unfortunately, there are some things we have no control over, such as how long it takes suppliers to get materials in stock. While we understand your frustration at the delay, it was caused by a delay in the supplier obtaining the materials. As Kim explained in her emails to you, your project could not be completed until the downpipe that you selected was stocked by the supplier. She explained that there is only one supplier in the country that carries the required product in the colour you selected. As Kim mentioned, we called the supplier every week to see if that downpipe had arrived on that week’s truck, until finally it did, at which point we quickly completed your project.   I was provided a quote from Prairie (no one actually came onsite to take measurements) to replace the siding on one side of my house. I decided to proceed with using Prairie for this job. We scheduled the work to be done a month later but no communication and no workers showed up on the day of the job. After I called them about this, someone showed up and began taking measurements. I was told there was a miscommunication and they originally provided me with an incorrect quote. The new quote provided to me was $13-15K which turned out to be more than double the estimate from my insurance company. It was also more than double the quotes that I got from 3 other reputable siding companies ($6K). I would've still considered using Prairie had the pricing been competitive but it was surprisingly way too far off to even consider it. I lost at least 2 months to get this fixed with winter fast approaching.

  I booked an appointment to have someone preform an inspection on my roof. The induvial arrived late, partially blocked my neighbors driveway and didn't even go on my roof. Thank you for wasting my time!

  I contacted Prairie Home Roofing for an estimate and they gave me a professional experience and estimate. They emailed me before coming out and told me what to expect. They flew a drone and physically walked on the roof to inspect it. Their quote back to me was done quickly, professionally and competitive. Cor was great to deal with.

  Prairie Home roofing shingled my house 10 years ago, shingled and installed new gutters on my garage 6 months ago, and have just finished putting new gutters and leaf guard on my home. This company does quality work. Their installers are very friendly and hard workers and clean up the site after install extremely well.. I keep going back to this company for my roofing needs as I trust them to do a good job. I highly recommend them. Ian John

  I recently had Prairie Home Roofing and Exteriors install a new Corrugated Steel roof on my outdoor Pergola/Hot Tub room. My experience with this company was extremely positive from start to finish. Shortly after contacting them via their online portal, Cor called me to set up an appointment to discuss the scope of the job and take measurement of the structure. Subsequently, he emailed me a detailed estimate that I found extremely reasonable considering the necessary reinforcement of the existing roof and the materials needed. After accepting the estimate, I was contacted by Prairie Home’s Construction Foreman Rob. He came out exactly when he said and took more detailed measurements and explained in precise detail how the work would be performed and how long it would take. He also gave me a tentative start date. On the day indicated, Rob and his crew, Thomas and Lucas, arrived at 8AM sharp and got right to work. Throughout the two days to complete this job the entire crew was extremely friendly and professional. They did an excellent job on the roof and left the site clean and free of all debris. I really couldn’t be happier with the final results and my neighbours have all commented on how great the structure looks. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate recommending Prairie Home to friends and family and will use them again for any exterior work on my home

  We engaged Prairie Home Roofing to replace the roof on one of our sheds and some roof repairs on the house. From first reaching out to the completion of the project today, they were incredibly responsive and professional in all our dealings. The new roof looks amazing and I’m thrilled with the work and my dealings with them.

  I was told that the roof on my current home might need to be replaced, so I contacted Prairie Home Roofing for a quote. I had used them on my previous house and found them to be reliable and professional, which made them my first choice for the assessment. Aaron, the consultant, came by to assess the roof and gutter. To my surprise and relief, he explained that the existing shingles were still in good condition and did not need to be replaced at this time. I really appreciated Aaron's honesty and know-how. The whole experience made me feel even better about choosing Prairie Home Roofing, and I'd happily recommend them to anyone looking for a rooting company they can trust.

  We have used Prairie Home Roofing on 3 projects now: replacing gutters on a rental property; roof repair and betterment on our home; and roof replacement on our garage. In all cases PHR exceeded our expectations. Excellent communication and workmanship. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

  Thank you for the work you did on the recent siding and shingle replacement on our home. Everyone was personable and professional, from setting expectations, contacting us, and carrying out the work. The project was well planned and executed. You pivoted well when weather events made it necessary. Workers arrived on time, they worked quickly and professionally and they took great care to ensure our property had no debris left behind. Thank you to all of the people who we do not know their names and worked so well removing the old materials and replacing the new.   I had such a wonderful experience working with Cor from Prairie Home Roofing From the very beginning, Cor was incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was done right. It’s not often you come across someone who combines professionalism with such a warm, approachable personality.
