Our roof had reached the point of no return and we knew a full replacement was coming, so we started collecting quotes. Patrick Roofing was one of a handful we talked to and they were straight with us about what the job actually involved. A couple of the other places I compared around Schaumburg either dodged questions or pushed hard for a quick yes, and these guys did neither. First visit they got up on the roof, checked it all over, and handed us a quote that broke the cost down piece by piece. Once we settled on shingles they had us scheduled inside a couple weeks. Crew showed up early on day one and got straight into stripping the old roof. By midday the old roof was down to the deck and they were already laying the new one. Roughly two days total. They made sure me knew what was going on and flagged a few boards on the decking that needed swapping out. The finished roof is flat and tidy and the shade suits the house well. They ran a magnet across the yard for nails before packing up. Been through a run of storms since and it stays dry. Good people to work with on something this size.

The crew did a fantastic job. They were very professional and made sure all the old roofing scraps were hauled away before they left. Everything looks tight and the price was exactly as quoted.

Most people assume wind tears a roof apart from the middle. It does not. Air separating over the edge of a roof creates suction, and engineering standards place the heaviest uplift loads at the corners, then along the eaves and rakes, with the field of the slope taking comparatively little. That is why storm damage looks strangely repetitive from house to house: creased shingles in the bottom two courses, lifted tabs at the rake, ridge caps displaced. It also means a post-storm check has a defined starting point rather than being a hunt. Schaumburg sits on flat, open ground with long uninterrupted eave runs on its ranch-era streets, which gives wind plenty to work with. If a rough night sent you looking for roof repair near me in Schaumburg, the perimeter is where we begin.21 hours agoCall now
