I have a single-car garage that's attached to my neighbor's garage and sits on a concrete slab. I knew the roof needed to be replaced because I was getting a significant amount of water inside after every rain. At first, I thought some of the water might also be coming in around the edge of the slab. I received two estimates and ultimately chose Guru. Their quote was slightly higher, but they were by far the most thorough. They clearly explained what needed to be done and, just as importantly, what didn't need to be done. That honesty gave me confidence in their recommendation. The crew was outstanding. The tear-off team arrived first and worked in a very organized manner, loading all the old roofing material directly into a truck as they removed it. Once they started pulling up the old plywood, it became clear just how deteriorated the roof was—it was literally falling apart. The next crew installed new plywood, rolled out the underlayment, and heat-sealed it before completing the roofing installation. Finally, the company inspector came out to review the entire job and make sure everything met their quality standards. One detail that really impressed me was that Guru even purchased the paint needed to match my HOA's required colors for the metal trim. I hadn't even thought about that, but they took care of it and painted the trim to ensure everything complied with the HOA requirements. From start to finish, the entire process was professional, organized, and thorough. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work and would gladly recommend Guru to anyone needing a new roof.

What a tremendous customer service experience. Jacob was straight forward and addressed the roof issue thoroughly and I could not be more satisfied. I have truly found my new roofing company! Thanks Jacob !!!

Checking a roof's condition means looking for wear, damage, or spots that are starting to give out. Catch a small issue early and it stays small wait too long and that same issue turns into a repair bill nobody wants. Chicago roofs take a beating from one season to the next, so a periodic check goes a long way toward keeping a home in good shape. During an inspection, shingles, flashing, gutters, and the overall structure all get a look for anything visible that's gone wrong. Most homeowners don't think about their roof until something leaks, but knowing where things stand ahead of time makes planning maintenance a lot easier.
