Don't understand where you got my phone number from. To call me stating, I need to get a roofing inspection because your companies in my neighborhood, I say, no, an the person on the other line kept pushing that I needed a roof inspection. Don't call people's phone and force.Something that they do not want unprofessional hands down...

Hired Palmer Construction in March 2023 for a roofing repair after storm damage-State Farm, but they jacked the final bill higher. Their office person was out for approximately a year. Tried getting in contact with them. Finally I got a hold of the new office manager and she helped me. I asked many times to speak with Jennifer the owner but she would never get back to me. I paid to settle just to move on, but felt totally ripped off. Save yourself the headache-pick a contractor who sticks to quotes and replies in a timely manner.

We take pride in advocating for our customers and working hard to ensure insurance companies the full scope of necessary repairs from storm damage. In this case, we successfully turned a small repair into a FULL ROOF REPLACEMENT, including decking and multiple layers! Something that WOULD NOT have been approved without our teams involvement. Per our signed agreement, all insurance proceeds were to be forwarded upon receipt. Despite clear documentation from State Farm the funds had been received , the customer withheld $14,000 and delayed payment for over two years! When we were able to reach Ms. Downing , communication was often difficult and unproductive, including lengthy calls with no resolution. To protect our staff we requested all future communication be handled via email. I personally responded multiple times and offered multiple discounts to settle the balance. All were declined until we obtained legal counsel. The insurance company determines what they will pay and that becomes the approved amount. We don't set The price the carrier does! Once the scope and price-is set, we invoice based off that. This is standard in insurance restoration work, just like in auto claims. We understand that insurance claims can be confusing and frustrating. . But we pride ourselves in taking that burden from our homeowners and are very proud of the results we received for this home!! Our only goal was to be paid fairly and timely for the work that we ! Nothing more!! Jennifer Palmer Owner

I had called for some wind damage to my shingles and although they have a nice sales pitch the work and employees were more than lack luster. The young kid who was there seemed to be drunk or on some kind of substance, will not be used g them again and I'd advise you do the same. I'm currently looking for someone who can do shingle work and at least lay them straight

Hi Mr Trevor I think you might be mistaken and left this for the wrong company. We don't have any young kids who do any type of roofing. Our crews are older and seasoned and sober :) Please give me a call to get this sorted out. 5096072487 The Palmer Team

I contracted Palmer to do repair work on my home in 2022. We came to an agreement for them to repair my home. They required that I submit a deposit and they would complete the project. I gave them a deposit of $43,841.84. After constant prodding to have the work started they finally sent out a team to perform the first phase of the work. When I tried to contact them to finish the work, they refuse to return my calls and have not made any effort to finish the work, leaving about $27,644.99 of work left to be finished. I have made many attempts to resolve this and they refuse to even extend the courtesy of a return call or even a letter. I feel that they are avoiding me and that their intentions are to keep the funds without finishing the work. Mary Redman Otis Orchards

The roofers that were hired by Palmer construction were fast and reliable and did a great job. However, the company itself said they would come out and finish but wouldn’t call and wouldn’t show. This happened over numerous months and many …

I am from Newman Lake. Victim of the 2022 hail storm we had. My roof got done Feb 2023 was quick and easy. 2/3 gutters were done by March. Took till August to put up last gutter up; also to get ball rolling for siding… I was done at this …

Jeremy, Thank you for sharing your perspective, and we appreciate your feedback. We want to address your concerns transparently. We worked diligently to secure a full insurance approval for your project, investing time and effort in a process that involved numerous communications and actions. It's disheartening to hear about the cancellation after the approval was successfully obtained. We also acknowledge the delays in installing the last section of the gutter. These were primarily due to challenges in obtaining insurance approvals. Despite these difficulties, we took the initiative to install the last section of the gutter at our own expense. In addition, we want to bring attention to the outstanding invoices for work completed a year ago. We sent you final bills, and unfortunately, we received a cancellation request once both were received. Our commitment to your project is evident in the 104 emails/calls in your file, demonstrating our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible service. We regret any frustration this situation has caused and are actively working to resolve outstanding matters. If there are specific details or concerns you'd like to discuss, please contact us directly. We value your feedback and are dedicated to finding an amicable solution. Thank you for your understanding. Best Regards, The Palmer Team

In 2022, our house (Newman Lake) suffered from hail damage, along with many of my neighbors. We decided to work with the company that our next door neighbors were working, Palmer Construction. And it worked out well, at first. We were provided with a list of things that could be fixed (screens, sighting etc.) but the only work we wanted done was the roof, meaning removing the old layers and replacing it with new roofing materials. We went through our insurance and they covered ALL of the costs. The work was completed in Feb 2023 and that was the last we had heard from Palmer. Then, all of a sudden, a year later, we owed them approximately $2,000 and by the way, and I quote, “please note this is not the final bill. This is the current approved amount from the insurance. Supplementing is still in process and as more approvals are secured we will bill out accordingly.” And now, this week, last week in July 2024, we received another bill for over $3,000. I have requested an itemized bill. I want to know why I still owe them money when I know that the entire cost that they SPECIFICALLY quoted us was covered ENTIRE and COMPLETELY by our insurance. I need to know each and every item that was used I ordered to complete my roof and that they are not charging me for work not done, but they are incapable of putting this together for me. I contacted my mortgage company and well as my insurance and my back and can confirm that they were paid for the work done. My insurance also stated that they received calls and emails from Palmer stating they need further money and when asked for the permit number, Palmer could not provide it. Let me be clear, the workers did a great job. My roof looks beautiful and receive compliments on it quite often. So, in summation, do not use this company. They will do the work, they will get paid, but will find ways to continue to gouge you for more money.

EDIT For response from Palmer: My insurance company was very responsive, and there was multiple times that they sent requests to you with no response. Still going on today, they sent a request to you weeks ago with no follow up. This is not an excuse for your company. "Minor communication issues" is a serious understatement of your lack of responsibility to follow up and take my claim and this job seriously. You failed me as a customer and took years to fullfill this work and get my house back in order, and you continue to create excuses. I understand supplements happen, but you continue to ask for the same things over and over again with no evidence. This has been prolonged enough, get someone on my claim and get it sorted so we can part ways. Please. ORIGINAL: It has been two years of dealing with this company for one claim, TWO YEARS! I was impacted by the hail storm in August of 2022 and had Palmer out the next day to take a look, their owners Jennifer and Gil (I think) were there and seemed professional and at first the communication was great and the roof went on a couple months later.... Then I didn't hear from them for MONTHS, I called and emailed trying to get someone's attention. I talked to my insurance to see if there was any communication on their side.... there wasn't. I finally had to go into their physical location to get someone to talk to me. Finally getting a hold of someone and keeping on top of it, my siding went on at the end of 2023, and was mostly completed until they had to wait for back ordered shutter fasteners, it took another few months for them to get out and put those up along with a couple screens (they scheduled this 3 times with me and nobody showed up).... Here I am almost 2 years later still dealing with this claim that should have been dealt with long ago. They have sent me invoices that have incorrect amounts and asking for line items that never happened from my insurance (like putting up scaffolding, when they just used ladde

Hi Jordan, We appreciate your feedback and would like to address the points you raised. Firstly, we share your frustration with the delays. While it is challenging to find long-term quality employees, the primary cause of the delays was insurance-related. We did encounter some minor communication issues, which we have since rectified. However, the significant delays were due to insurance companies' lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to collaborate. This has affected numerous projects and placed financial strain on our company, as we had to front the costs while waiting nearly two years for approvals. Secondly, we take staff performance very seriously. The individual who missed your appointment has been disciplined, suspended, and demoted. Ensuring customer satisfaction remains our top priority. Lastly, regarding billing, while we understand the preference to pay in one lump sum, our contract specifies that all funds received from insurance should be forwarded to Palmer. This did not occur in your case. Therefore, we billed for completed trades as we progressed. With insurance jobs, there are often supplements we seek post-completion, which are not guaranteed. It is unreasonable to expect us to wait for payment after finishing the work, paying our crews, and covering material costs. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Palmer Construction

I had the opportunity to work with this team during a home purchase in Elk, WA, and they were fantastic. The property needed roofing and fascia work before closing, and they went above and beyond by rearranging their schedule to accommodate our tight timeline. Their communication was excellent, the quality of their work was outstanding, and they understood how important meeting contractual deadlines is in a real estate transaction. Thanks to their flexibility and professionalism, we were able to keep the transaction moving toward a successful closing. As a Spokane mortgage broker, I truly appreciate working with local contractors who understand the importance of teamwork. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to homeowners or other real estate professionals.

It's the little extra care that sets us apart. 🌻❤️ Mid-project, one of our crew noticed this hydrangea was right in the line of work — sun, debris, foot traffic, all of it. So instead of just working around it, they built it its own little shelter. No one asked them to. They just did. 🥰 That's what "extra care" looks like at Palmer Construction — not just for your roof, but for everything on your property while we're there.
