I called today to get a quote for a roof appraisal. I explained all I needed was to have someone tell me how old my roof is, so that I could share this information with home insurance companies. I was quoted $325 from Chris at Orchard Roofing. Two other Kelowna companies quoted me $135 and $120 for the same service. Orchard Roofing is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE and greedy!

Hi Todd, thanks for the review. As per our conversation you requested an estimate for a roof inspection to determine estimated age with a report to submit to your insurance company. I provided you a price for a site visit, roof inspection and written report with photos. In return you voiced your concern with our pricing and decided to not use our service, no service was provided other than the estimate.

I don't know these guys, I've never hired them. But last year the house next door had their roof done. It's a decrepit old rental house which the owner has been trying to sell, which will surely be demolished to build a new 4-plex. The roof has been leaking for years, the owner could not hold off any longer. So you might think the roofers would just do a rush job, slap on the new shingles, just enough to last a few short years. Nope. These two guys stripped the old roof, took care not to have old rusty nails flying off, methodically pounded down every single old nail in the plywood that were lifting, doing a thorough job at a steady pace. It is good to see young guys who have been taught to do a job right and take pride in it. You don't see that often enough nowadays.

Chris and the team are true professionals. I shopped around a bit before choosing orchard roofing. 3 things made me choose Orchard: 1. Chris came to the site to meet me and discuss the job before quoting it. 2. The price was right 3. Communication was prompt and professional. Don’t waste time with other roofing companies in Kelowna, these guys are the best.

Chris and company are honest, down to earth guys to deal with. Orchard roofing put a new roof on my house and did an amazing job of fixing issues I had with the previous roof. They even vacuumed out my gutters afterwards. Top shelf.
