  I had a leak in my roof and called On Tops after seeing the great reviews. After a little phone tag a manager I think said someone would come by at some point during the next day, although he couldn't give me any more of a specific window. Luckily I work near home and was able to meet the guy after getting a 20 minute notice. The guy who came had no interest in looking at the leak in my roof, just threw a ladder on my house and went up. After that I didn't hear from anyone from On Tops again. The other reviews seem like they are good to work with if you need a new roof, but my experience trying to get a leak was poor.

  Guy took one look at my roof and said I needed to replace 6×4 feet of shingles. Now valid explanation nothing. Be careful people. Be careful Jonathan Kennedy.

  Thank you for the feedback, and I'm sorry we didn't earn your confidence during the inspection. We take that seriously, so I want to share some context. Our team came out within a few hours of your call that morning, and Jonathan performed an attic inspection at no charge. He photographed the source of the leak, a single nail dripping onto the insulation directly above the ceiling stain. We recommended replacing a small section of shingles rather than simply sealing the nail because a permanent repair requires removing shingles to check the roof decking for damage and installing ice and water shield as a secondary leak barrier. A repair like this typically runs $300 to $400 and includes a warranty. Caulking the nail head would be cheaper, but it's a temporary fix that usually leaks again and we only offer repairs we can warranty! No work was performed and nothing was charged.   I never had a roof leak until On Tops Roofing put a new roof on my house in Cary a few years ago. Now I have leaks, stained ceiling and possibly hidden mold and On Tops Roofing says the warranty doesn't cover the leaks or repainting the ceilings.DO NOT HIRE ON TOPS ROOFING UNLESS YOU ENJOY A LEAKING ROOF AND STAINED CEILINGS.

  On Tops did an amazing job on my roof! They were professional and stayed in contact from start to finish. They supplied me with pricing options that were very fair and several different choices for the actual shingle products to accommodate my budget. I also received numerous overhead before and after photos of the job since my roof is way to high and steep to inspect myself. Chris and Luis were wonderful to work with!!   got a roof leak repair job done with them in Aug 2026. Very straightforward from the estimate/quoting to the final payment. The job is done with photos before and after. Would highly recommend this for Roof-related issue.

  What an awesome company to work with. Chris started this process and made easy to move forward. He gave us options and was not pushy about it at all. Luis our PM communicated everything to expect as well as ensuring we communicated if we needed to leave the house so he could make sure everything was ok for us to leave safely. The roof was done in a day and the clean up was excellent. Luis called us later to let us know they saw a couple of shingles that didn’t match and would be back to fix it. We greatly appreciate their professionalism and honesty. We would highly recommend this company to anyone!
