  Highly unprofessional. Did not show up or call on day of scheduled quote. Called three days later to say person was on their way- never showed up. Got a quote in my email the next day, called them and they insisted the gutter person was at our house, measured our gutters, that is surrounded on all 4 sides by camera and the driveway is also monitored (and I’ve been home). Called to let them know this and they continue to insist they have called and they have showed up. Perhaps their gutter person is a ghost but if not, no one showed up and we wasted over a week just trying to get a quote.

  Kalyn, although I certainly understand your hesitation to pursue an insurance claim without first verifying the damage, I can assure you that Old Timers Roofing, nor any of your neighbors, would engage in insurance fraud of any sort. As you may have seen from any number of the other reviews, plenty of our clients have filed legitimate insurance claims for hail and wind damage. Furthermore, we have the same storm maps that your insurance company uses to determine the date of loss for your area. That's why John would be in your area to begin with. We'd be happy to share those with you. I understand working with John can be a unique experience. I would be glad to speak with you directly. John works hard and means VERY well. He's one of the most respectful and Godly persons I've ever known. He does speak a little slower and he stutters sometimes. We love him all the same. But he certainly wasn't trying to commit insurance fraud. We hope you will reconsider your review. Josh Kim.

  This place has been the worst service ever. They don’t return calls. My claim has been open for nine months and I still have not got my install. After they got my first check, their communication went to zero and I have been struggling to get in contact and to get an install

While we have successfully completed and settled the Martinez project for the homeowner of record, we are only authorized to discuss claim details with the actual contract holder.   Might be the worst company I’ve ever worked with. Absolutely no professionalism. Never once told us when they would be coming to do the roof. Showed up multiple times unannounced. Left trash and materials at home for weeks at a time. Destroyed our attic and left mechanical parts unplugged. TERRIBLE communication. Roof looks good but the process was SLOW and these people are not respectable nor are they responsible. Wish I went with any of the many other roofing options in the Triad. Had to leave this review because their other online reviews are misleading. I’ve had 2 neighbors in my area with similar experiences in the past year. Old timers has obviously gone downhill.

  I’d pick 0 stars if that was an option. Roof AND interior work went from an accepted 9,500 quote to a 23,000 quote with zero notice until after the fact. Were also trying to charge for things that were never done.

  Mr. Abney, I hate to hear your experience leading up to your install was not a positive one. We did have to make a change in regards to one of our project managers during the process. Sometimes, when things aren't working as they should, we have to make a change. And that's what we did. However, our project manager, LaCharles, has been with us for about 5 years. As a company that installs 400 - 500 roofs per years, we employ multiple project managers. Furthermore, we were hired as the contractor for the entire project. License number 85566. We supplemented the entire job with your insurance company to include everything that was considered "direct physical loss." We only invoiced you for the work we actually completed. I'm glad you're happy with the work we did complete and we will continue to work to be better than we were yesterday. Thank you for allowing us to complete this project

  I called this roofing company to come out to assess our roof and give a quote on a new one if needed. They did send a very nice person and he got up on the ladder and marked chalk where we supposedly had hail damage.He then proceeded to tell me they could put in a claim to our insurance and their company would handle it all. I got a second opinion from another reputable company and they said there was not enough damage from hail they could see.I then wrote to Old timers 2 times to just give me a quote on a new roof and I have not heard anything back.They seem to be big on the insurance end of things which is fine if it was needed but I do not understand why they would not want the business when someone is asking for a plain quote on a new roof.

When I search your name in Whitepages, the only person that comes up is in the Raleigh area and we do not operate in Raleigh for residential clients.   Professional, very helpful with insurance. Explains everything about the roofing process, payments, shingles, etc. Roofing crew was awesome. Protected old shingles and nails from the yard. Cleanup was great. Highly recommended!

  I have nothing but kudos concerning my experience with Old Timers Roofing! They dealt directly with my insurance company about the differences in the estimates and secured additional funds for the work. They are truly a “one-stop shop” as we needed gutter work accomplished as well. I hope that I don’t need any roofing work done in the near future but know which company to contact.
