  Called out for an estimate on gutters. I let them know house was being remodeled I may or may not be there to please email or call with an estimate. Lady on the phone said that would be fine. However I never heard back from them. I reached out to them and left a message still never heard back from them

  Alan, I unfortunately am just now seeing this. I will look into what happened and I apologize for your experience. Sometimes jobs are too small and are not cost effective for you or us. I do not want to overcharge anyone in order to make it cost effective for us. We are general contractors and our crews typically charge a minimum of $500/ day just to show up and then you have materials and profit. Sometimes it does not make sense for us or the homeowner.

  Bryan- I apologize. I had forwarded your email to my deck guy to do a take off and he failed to follow through. I should have stayed on top of it. We are also a little hesitant when someone sends us plans like this and asks us to do through email as we have found it is sometimes other contractors shopping us or wanting us to help them price for a customer.   Mr. Smith, As I explained to Matt yesterday, while I do understand your concern, I also cannot repair/replace your siding at no cost as the problem was not caused by our negligence. The problem occurred when the original builders of the house failed to prep the cut edge of the siding properly with primer and paint and then laid it directly onto the shingles thus allowing it to soak up water and slowly rot the edges over the years. When we removed the old shingles the edges of the siding broke away due to all of the rot and being laid directly on the shingles. This is something that could not have been prevented by us when we did your roof 3 years ago. The wall is properly flashed and will not leak, but the siding needs to be either cut away from the roof in a straight line and then sealed at the bottom or replaced completely due to the years of the siding soaking up water. While we are willing to do this work at our cost, we cannot in good faith do it for free. I am sorry you guys are upset and I can see this from your point of view, but I also hope you can see it from ours. Thanks!

  Thanks Mr. McKinney for your feedback. We do have a company policy that all homeowners be present when we come out to give a free estimate. Not everyone likes that policy, but it is our policy none the less. We know from years of doing this work that if only one homeowner is present then the other homeowner is unable to see the differences in us and our competitors that we demonstrate and explain during the free estimate. This leaves the homeowner that is not present with nothing but a number to make a decision on. We feel that this is a dis service to not only them, but us as well. If you are in fact the sole owner of this property, we would be happy to meet with just you, if not, then we ask that all homeowners be present. Thanks and feel free to give me a call!   Thanks for taking the time to give us a review. We understand your concern. While we do offer free quotes for roof replacements, whole house siding replacements, etc. We do ask for a small service fee to diagnose/price repairs in order to cover our costs in regards to insurance and overhead related to a general contractor. I am not sure our service fee policy deserves a 1 star review?

  We had our concrete driveway replaced due to cracking; took this company one (1) workday to remove the old driveway and prep for the concrete pouring the next business day. They worked efficiently and were extremely “clean” given the magnitude of the job. It took them 6 to 7 hours to pour not only the driveway but an additional walkway from the driveway to our pool entrance enclosure. More importantly, we had rocks lining both sides of the driveway and the landscaping rock beds were essentially unharmed, so I did not have an exorbitant landscaping repair job. All in all, I recommend this company without any reluctance or reservations. They will not disappoint.

  Tim Ilderton and his team were prompt, professional and extremely courteous throughout the entire job. They worked diligently and quickly. They took extra precautions to ensure all the debris was disposed of properly and the job site was maintained. The entire experience was positive and hassle free.   Carolina Home Specialists replaced our roof several years ago and we have not had any issues. After the installation they removed all stray nails from the yard during clean up. Tim is great to work with.

  I had a great experience with Brad today. he was super knowledgeable about the new deck i want added to the back of my house. Also he was able look at my roof and showed me that it needs replacement with in the next year. So we are moving forward on both projects. Brad is the reason I chose this company.

  There salesman Brad came out to my home to look at my roof and deck. He was very knowledgeable and was not pushy. He was able to point other issues I was having that needed to be addressed. I had five other companies before finding Carolina Home Specialists and Brad was the first person that took the time to point out all my issues and was not pushing my to sign in my home. Definitely recommend going with Carolina as I am.
