They renovated outside of the houses across the street from us last summer and we are STILL finding screws on the street around where they parked in front of our house. They are little screws that go in to the downspouts and gutters. Definitely from their job. Their workers/contractors parked and littered constantly infront of our house all summer and longer, it was very frustrating.

⚠️ Buyer Alert for Calgary Homeowners I met NUHomes at the home show and they initially came across as very nice and professional — until the estimator arrived this morning. His attitude changed the moment I mentioned that several long‑established Calgary roofing and siding companies had provided quotes that were $25,000 lower than his. He became rude and visibly offended, which was surprising and unprofessional. After collecting quotes from five reputable Calgary contractors with many years in the industry, NUHomes came in at approximately 79% higher than the market average for a full‑wrap siding project. Their pricing is far out of line with what experienced, established companies are charging. For homeowners considering siding or roofing work, I strongly recommend comparing multiple quotes and reviewing company history carefully. Transparency, professionalism, and fair pricing matter — especially in a market where many newer companies appeared after the hailstorm.

We had a great experience with NuHome from start to finish and would highly recommend them. Oliver was the first person we worked with. He inspected our roof and clearly explained why it was time for a replacement and what needed to be addressed. We really appreciated that he took the time to walk us through everything and answer our questions. Spencer then helped us with the quote and options. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very responsive throughout the process. Everything was clearly explained upfront, which made it much easier for us to make our decision. Once the project started, Josh and the crew did a great job delivering the project from end to end. Josh kept us informed, responded quickly whenever we had questions, and made sure our concerns were addressed. We also appreciated the progress photos and the attention given to the details of the installation. Our roof is quite large and complex, with multiple slopes, valleys, vents, a skylight, and a chimney, and the finished roof looks fantastic. The workmanship looks clean and professional, and the property was well cleaned up after the work was completed. NuHome may not be the cheapest option out there, but if you are looking for a roofing company with a strong reputation, quality workmanship, and professional service, they are definitely worth considering. For a major investment like a roof, having an established company that stands behind its work gave us additional peace of mind. Overall, we felt very well taken care of throughout the entire process. From the initial inspection, to the quote, installation, communication, and final walkthrough, NuHome provided a very professional experience. We are very happy with our new roof and would definitely recommend NuHome to other homeowners.

One question upgrades every roof replacement near me conversation in this city: what would Class 4 impact-resistant shingles cost me? In Canada's hail capital, that answer shapes the next twenty years of your roof, your repairs, and potentially your insurance bill. Class 4 is the highest impact rating shingles carry, tested against two-inch steel balls that simulate exactly the hail Calgary summers deliver, and the premium over standard shingles is smaller than most homeowners guess. Many Alberta insurers offer reduced premiums for impact-rated roofs, and rebate programs for resilient roofing have appeared in Calgary before, so it is always worth asking what incentives currently apply. NuHome walks you through the real numbers, standard versus impact-rated, insurance implications included, before any contract appears. Replace the roof once, correctly, for this specific city.
