Owner was overbearing, foreman was absent, workers were hard working but rushed. Also, very expensive.

I called this company because they have great reviews and advertise same day service/emergency service. I had an emergency with rain water leaking into my tenant’s apartment! The representative told me they were booked 2-6 weeks, call someone else! What a disappointment. I will never call them again!

Disorganized and unprofessional. Spent an entire week, dealing with 4 different people to get an estimate scheduled, just to be told they can't accommodate an estimate for us because they are "too busy"

I noticed a neighbor getting a brand new commercial TPO roof installed on his property, and it looked sharp. I spoke with him about the crew, and he had nothing but great things to say about their work. Our own roofing job went just as smoothly. We ended up going with a sleek metal roofing installation, and the finished product looks incredible. Mike was our project manager, and he was fantastic from day one. He kept us fully informed throughout the entire process and whenever we had questions he always knew what to say and do. Nema is one of the best in the city!

This review is long overdue! Nema Roofing completed a new roof along with five skylights on my house 3 months ago! Mike and his crew did an excellent job on a difficult roof. One roofing contractor, who is highly rated online, turned it down because it was too steep! True!!! My roof has a lot of sharp angles requiring skill in cutting the shingles combined with, yes, the steep roof in putting the puzzle together. Mike is on the roof daily working alongside his crew who are skilled and hardworking. He replaced old composite shingles with the new black DaVinci shingles that improved the look of the house immensely. We are very happy with the finished roof and the process after working with them. I highly recommend you call him for any roofing matters.

Nema ROOFING is a breath of fresh air in the sometimes unreliable world of roofing contractors. They replaced the underlayment and flashing on the tile roof on my 2,600 square foot house in Santa Barbara, set the clay tiles aside and then put them back without damage or problems. They added 3 attic vents at my request at minimal cost. They found a termite area and cause of a leak, showed me the condition and replaced the plywood. Melvin responded quickly to my calls and inquiries, explained things clearly, and his team did the work on time and a fair price! They know what they are doing.

Thank you, Aleen, for the wonderful review and for trusting Nema ROOFING with your Santa Barbara home. We're glad the underlayment and flashing replacement, careful tile reset, attic vent additions, and plywood repair for the termite-related leak met your expectations. Melvin and the team appreciate you highlighting our responsiveness, clear explanations, and fair pricing. Please contact us anytime for future maintenance or questions — we’re always happy to help.

I am very pleased with the work done by Nema Roofing. Adam, Mike, Thomas, and the entire crew are hard working pros! I now realize what an incredibly complex job it is to coordinate all the repairs, discarding old materials, reroofing, acquiring permits and supplies and the whole time being respectful of my property. Adam walked me through the entire roofing process and answered all my questions. I recommend Nema to anyone looking for reliable, honest, fully licensed and insured professionals.

Had a great experience getting our roof replaced with Adam and the crew at Nema Roofing. He made the whole process simple by taking care of all the city inspections and permits from start to finish. He kept us in the loop every step of the way and answered every question we had without rushing us. The crew always showed up right on time, paid close attention to detail, and did a thorough sweep of the yard and driveway so we didn’t find any random nails lying around afterwards. Working with them was completely stress free, and Adam made sure we were 100% happy with the work before finishing up.

Nema roofing is the best. We quoted multiple roofers for our project at Santa Barbara, They were higher than most quotes we got but they also had way better warranty than others, I am the type of person that will choose long term over short term and im glad in the contract it states that. Adam is such a nice guy. Very easy to communicate, helped handling all the permit and inspection processes with the city. And the quality of work is great.

Thank you, Paola, for the glowing review and for choosing Nema Roofing for your Santa Barbara project. We're glad our stronger warranty and support with permits and inspections gave you peace of mind, and we’ll be sure to share your kind words with Adam and the team. Hearing that our workmanship and communication met your expectations means a lot to us. Please reach out anytime if you need assistance down the road.

Getting two new commercial roofs was a big deal for my partnership and there are lots of details which concerned us. We went with Nema Roofing and I am so happy we did. The price was excellent, the job was done really well, we had two commercial tenants which required specific scheduling and they were well accommodated for, and both roofs look great. I could not be more satisfied and we have a couple of projects coming up in the next year and will definitely use them. We now have a roofer for any needs. My highest recommendations for Nema Roofing!

A leak in my sloping flat roof last year, plus the age of the roof, meant I needed a replacement before the rainy season. After 6 quotes I chose Nema Roofing, based on price plus the professional attitude and clear explanations from Adam, the owner. He was on site daily through demolition, city inspection, wood repair, and installation. There was more wood damage than I expected, but he shared pictures and explained each repair. I ended up with a solid, beautiful roof, metal gutters, and daily crew cleanup. They aren’t the cheapest but they are the best!

We appreciate your recommendation and are here if you need anything else in the future.

We hired Nema Roofing (glad they are in Santa Barbara) to install a new metal roof in summer 2025, and we couldn't be happier! We haven't had a single issue since the work was finished, solid proof of their excellent craftsmanship. They did the assessment and he was very thorough and detail oriented.
