  This company is very dishonest--I had an estimate for a barn. They said it had to have concrete and it would be "a little bit more" but they wouldn't have the estimation done unless I gave a 10% down payment. Turned out to be 50% MORE!!! Then they fought with me about a refund of my down. They eventually gave me "some" but less "engineering" run on a computer so I could get the concrete estimation. And $300 to have the concrete estimation done!!!! Never use these people. Go to MacCo.

  They wanted me to pay them $ 300.00 to come out and give me a estimate to repair a metal building that a customer backed into, Never have heard of paying for an estimate. I would understand if it was out of town ,but I’m only 10 minutes from the business. Shame on you for doing that to a local small business. definitely will never recommend this place to anyone.

  Failed to have order ready on time. Then failed to cancel order and still charged account. Never called with any status updates and won’t return calls. When I did speak to them they claimed that product was damaged overnight and then the next delivery was on hold because delivery guy fell off the truck.

  A literal nightmare to deal with. Been working with them since January and still no building. Lie after lie, no response via email, horrible customer service. Go with American steel if you’re looking to build a building.

  We were ready to give them the credit card to purchase metal for our re-roof project, just wanted to confirm final price & a estimated delivery time frame. Ashton's demeanor & approach to me was concerning & threw up red flags for me especially when he gave me a spill of how hard it is to get metal, not able to give me a final price (even though 2 months ago he provided an estimate without any issue) & was pushing me away by his bantering. He also insisted for me to come in to his shop, I had to keep telling him that I lived 4 hours away & unable to come, why couldn't we deal with this over the phone. I've never dealt with a company that pushes away a customer who is ready to give them money, unbelievable. needless to say I don't recommend them, I was able to find a local company that was close to their prices & was able to deliver within a week.

  We recently had Metals Direct install a new 27x30 metal garage to replace one that collapsed from a heavy snow load. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and Metals Direct's super support throughout, especially Erik and Annalissa. Erik helped plan a structure with heavier load-bearing capacity and a steeper roof pitch. Importantly to me, he suggested small changes to the original dimensions that reduced the bracing requirements, and therefore the cost. This was a first-time build for Metals Direct in our county. Annalissa drove all the way over to deal directly with the responsible county department and their detailed requirements, some of which differed from her experience, and otherwise could have been "gotchas". She also discovered that there was an incomplete final inspection from an earlier build at our place, which threatened to sideline this project. Annalissa to the rescue! She worked out an arrangement that allowed our work to proceed. ​ We used our own contractor for the concrete pad. I was impressed with the way that Annalissa stitched together our contractor's busy schedule, Metals Direct's multiple bookings, and difficult weather to get the job done. I was especially impressed with her courtesy in staying in touch with updates. And she always called back when I had questions. I want to put in a word for the crew, too. Really hard working and courteous. Left the area neat and clean. And the quality of work / attention to detail was excellent. These guys are good. Highly recommended.
