  My initial assessment is that if you live in Detroit you won't get service. I have this Eerie feeling that the company is somewhat, here's my story. Jason came out to my home to give me an estimate on my roof. He was kind enough to let me know that my roof was good for another 10 years even though the shingles look bad to me they would hold up. I did appreciate that. We then went on to talk about the fascia boards of the house as well as some windows that needed repair and replacing. He took all the measurements and said he would get back with me by that following Monday-- he was out on a Thursday-- by Friday of the following week I had not received an email with my estimate as promised. I called the office and spoke with a young lady who said that Jason will give me a call, I haven't heard from him! I am a proud Detroit homeowner. My neighborhood is multiracial, consisting of many white families that have never left the city. Although there are many parts of the city that are in disrepair, I don't live in those parts I live in a thriving part of the city there are 0 vacant homes on my block nor in a five-block radius. Furthermore their offices which is on Grand River is only five miles away from me I frequent the area often because I live in the area!! Companies that have been around for such a long time have the luxury of not doing work that they don't want to do, especially if they're not the right type of people that they want to deal with. My overall opinion is McGlinch & Sons Co. may in fact do good work, however I was unable to experience the quality of their work because of their rude and unnecessary behaviors. Jason, I have the money to pay for my work. I make well over six figures a year believe it or not. I live in the city because I choose to, because I grew up here and I love Detroit.   My husband has used this company in the past and liked their work. However, he was initially asked, by "Corey" to send a picture of the project and he would give him a quote, which my husband did. Several weeks and calls later, he still has not heard anything and they just keep telling him they will give Corey the message. He even spoke with one of the owners, who supposedly tried to call Corey but he did not answer his phone. Then the owner told my husband the same thing that he would have him call us back. Well, either the owner didn't give him the message or Corey doesn't really care what his boss says. Either way, there has been no follow up from anyone. So I told my husband that if they can't even get their employees to make a promised phone call, I would not be comfortable with the so-called quality work they claim they have. And, given other reviews of the same complaint, I am obviously not alone in my assessment of this company. Honestly, if the company wants to respond to this, perhaps calling me or my husband, along with others who have had the same experience, and giving us a sincere apology would be more beneficial for your business in the future.

  Incredibly unprofessional. I got a quote from the company and they gave me an offer to do the job for a little over $14,000. I accept that offer. Within the same day this company calls back saying it would be an additional $9,000 in labor due to the fact that I'm located in Hamtramck and the dumpster parking would be tricky. This issue was raised to the company well ahead of them offering the job at the proposed price. I'm surprised that a company who has been around as long as they have and are so reputable run their business this way.

  Called yesterday about getting a quote for repairs on my roof. Told Corey was busy and would call back. 6 hours later no call back. So I called. Spoke to Corey . He stated he charges $200.00 dollars for a quote and that he might get by on the 24th. No thanks. Wont be calling them again.

  The salesman showed up at the wrong time, after we had confirmed twice. We had changed our work schedule to meet with him, and he didn't even call to let us know. We had to call him, and then was told a quote would be coming within 48 hours. It took over a week, again after we called him and their office. The quote seemed very high, and wasn't broken down into separate components. It's as if they didn't want our business. We had a designer friend recommend this company, but she certainly won't anymore!

  Was looking to have windows replaced with Pella. Received several quotes. Mcglinch was significantly cheaper than other competitors. Office was communicative. Arrived the day they said, were quick and efficient . Install went very smooth. Very polite happy window crew. Wouldnt hesitate to hire again.

  Gave a fair estimate explained what they would do never pulled the old if you sign today you get this price deal . Decided to use them for a new roofing gutter guard replacement. Their roofing crew showed up and went to work right away very careful of my property answered any questions I had. Very good system on the tear off no traps draped everything basically contained on the roof then moved to the dumpster. Mention about the company they use for the dumpster very courteous. They had to replace some siding because of a poor flashing job from a previous roofing job (not McGlinch) that where it got interesting. The crew that was sent out had some issues with the job and I was not satisfied with the results. I contacted McGlinch and they assured me they would take care of it. John came out and we discussed the plan to fix the issues . He made sure I was satisfied before he left.I realize that stuff is going to happen but its important how it is taken care of. If you want a good job at a fair price no high pressure sales pitch and some who backs up what they say I would recommend McGlinch &Sons

  McGlinch & Sons did a great job! They did quality work in a timely manner and were great about communicating with us. At first I thought they were too expensive, but as I got more quotes I discovered that roofs cost more than I thought. They were reasonably priced for very good quality.

  Been meaning to drop you a note, the new skylight is working great and really has helped cut the heat down upstairs too. The crew was excellent, on time and cleaned up beautifully.
