TLDR: I do not recommend working with Mandette. I'm shocked they only have 5 star reviews on Google. Read on for details from my project. -- I started working with Mandette in March 2025 for siding work on the rear gable of my house. They were very patient while I worked with the Historical Committee in Biddeford. However, they had promised to attend the meetings, but did not show to either of them. After I had approval from the Historical Committee, my point of contact at Mandette changed and things started to go downhill. My initial contract needed to be adjusted to meet the Historical Committee requirements. Contract updates with the new contact took weeks, often contained errors, and I had to repeatedly chase responses. At one point, he changed the cedar to pine on the contract without discussion. He also called me to push that I replace the cedar on my entire house— far outside my budget, not what the Historic Committee had approved, and just not needed at all. Lastly, when I asked about switching the stair rebuild back to pressure-treated to save money, I was told it would only reduce the cost by $250, even though upgrading to Trex had added about $1,000... So salesy :( My first point of contact had also promised several things (such as the ability to replace single split boards around the house and specific cosmetic details on the stairs), but apparently those were never noted and Mandette later refused to honor them once work started, even though I had texts and emails. The stairs themselves were built with multiple code violations and Mandette never pulled a permit. A second crew fixed one issue but created others. A third crew was sent to fix these issues, and again, created another issue. On top of that, cosmetic and material choices were mishandled – the brown color I originally selected was suddenly “unavailable” and my only replacement options were grey (which happened to be a lessor quality Trex). With the siding, Mandette way over-ordered mater

We recently had our roof replaced by Mandette Roofing and we couldn't be happier with the results. Their team was professional, efficient, and thorough. The crew showed up early and protected our home and gardens. They completed our roof replacement in one day. They were very communicative throughout the process and made sure all of our questions were answered. Their team left the yard spotless by cleaning up every last nail and piece of debris. I highly recommend getting a quote if you’re in the market for a new roof!
