I don't even have the words to express how abysmal our experience was with this company. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. We got our entire house re-sided and the shingles have been falling off ever since they finished. They completely covered over our dryer vent with shingles and didn't leave any sort of opening, so we had a bunch of hot, moist air accumulating under the shingles for weeks until our dryer hose inside actually popped off the wall. We notified them immediately, very upset as this could have easily started a fire in our home. Not to mention all of the potential structural damage from the moisture trapped underneath the shingles. We didn't even get so much as an apology, just a "we'll take care of it," and it actually took them about 3 days to even come out and address it. I'm still not even sure if they bothered to inspect the wood underneath the shingles in that area. They were also supposed to replace the trim around our windows and did a super half assed job, leaving the inner wooden frames of our windows totally exposed to the elements. I don't think they were even planning on fixing it until we said something about it, and again this took weeks to get fixed. The workmanship was extremely shoddy and it looks like whoever did this has never sided a house before in their life. We watched a 3-minute YouTube video that explained how to install the product correctly and it was clear that none of the manufacturer recommendations were followed. Nails were driven right through the center of the composite panels in many areas instead of tacking them along the designated holes over the top, and this can apparently cause the siding to buckle as it now cannot expand/contract with the wood based on the weather as it should be able to. We brought this to their attention and were told it was "standard practice," despite the manufacturer explicitly advising against this. We were also not offered any sort of explanation for why this was done or any oppor

Two years after skylights were installed in my home we decided to change one of the shades. We had trouble figuring out how to do so and called and no questions asked they offered to install the shade we purchased at no charge. I was so thankful and they were so helpful.

Hi Caleb! Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for writing such a thoughtful review. We truly appreciate the opportunity to complete such a large-scale condo complex restoration project in South Portland. Gorham Roofing - Extremely pleased with the responsiveness, options and service provided by James & Whitney. Within days of accepting the quote, we had a brand new roof on our home. The price was very competitive. Their team was exceptional. From exterior specialist Cory, Chad scheduling, Michelle contract & payment support, to Nate the project manager, all were personable & professional, I would highly recommend James & Whitney for your roofing project.

I needed help with a home I am planning to purchase. I called up Whitney & James and spoke with Michelle. She connected me to Rick and within 45 minutes they were helping me come up with a plan. Michelle was very kind and knowledgeable. Rick was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and talked it all through on the phone with me for a good 10 minutes. I felt way better after that call and will be going to them for my roofing needs. I’ve heard so many good things about their roofing skills.

A piece of roof edge siding was blown off in the last blizzard. I started reaching out to a few companies to ask for quotes and Robert reached out the same day! We ended up adding gutters to the project and Robert provided prompt and clear quotes for different options. The work was scheduled for the next week and the project manager, Joe, called and emailed to reconfirm. Their team arrived promptly and finished the repair and installation in half a day. Great service and great work! Highly recommend.
