  This company can't be trusted. Midway through the removal of existing shingles and plywood the subcontractor told us they would not remove all of the existing roofing materials unless we paid an additional $450. We paid the up-charge, what else were we to do? Then, when they omitted replacing the new plywood we were faced with an additional $6,000 increase. Tired of being taken advantage of, we cancelled the contract. Lucero's Roofing filed a lawsuit and took us to court. Lucero's motto should be: if we can't screw ya, we'll sue ya.

  This post is very disappointing to me and what my company stands for. I have been in business for over 21 years, and value honor and integrity. Mr. Jackson has shared in his post details that are not completely true and accurate. The facts are that Mr. Jackson signed a contract with my company to re-roof his house, which included that we would remove his existing comp roof and install a new comp roof. The scope of the contract did not include suppling and installing any plywood, because Mr. Jackson was supposed to have the house rebuilt by a general contractor, and have the roof ready for us to install the new shingles. Mr. Jackson provided his down payment, and gave us a job start date. Prior to the job start date, Mr. Jackson advised us that he would be remodeling his entire house, and following the removal of his existing roof, he would not need my company back for several months, until the remodel was complete. My subcontractors removed his roof, but no additional charges were billed or paid by Mr. Jackson to Lucero’s Roofing, nor were any written change orders issued. Mr. Jackson proceeded with his remodel, and when it came time to install his new roof, he let us know that he was going to finish the roof with someone else and we were no longer needed. As my company had a signed contract to perform the work, Mr. Jackson breached his contract, and I was left with no alternative other than to seek a legal remedy to cover my losses. The court heard our case, ruled in my favor, and Mr. Jackson was ordered to pay my company what the law deems fair and equitable. I take a lot of pride in my company, always do the right thing for my customers, and stand by my legally binding agreements.

  The roof is beautiful. Lucero’s was very detail with what work needs to be done and the products used. During construction the workers were very polite and respectful. Every day they cleaned up so no nails or garbage lying around. They even swept up the leaves on my patio! Highly recommend
