  Well it’s been almost 4 weeks and I still don’t have a roof, and they still can’t tell me when I’ll be scheduled, or how many roofs are ahead of mine. 100% frustrating. I get it everyone is busy, I’m busy. But if you can’t tell me if it’ll be a week or a month till I get a roof… I keep getting told to wait and see if I’m on the schedule for the next week. I signed a contract and they want 30% down but can’t tell me IF or WHEN they will get around to scheduling me? 100% frustrated!!

  Appalling communication. Eric Trogden is apparently unable to use an email account, or send a quote - unclear why this firm comes highly recommended given these obviously lacking areas. He's rude, dismissive, blatantly ignores his responsibilities and does not follow through on his commitments.

  Eric from LONE STAR ROOF SYSTEMS CAME OUT ON 5-13-2024 to inspect my roof for replacement. Gave me what I felt at the time was a good price for replacing my roof. This estimate that he gave me listed the items that they would do and gave me a total price. Two days later I asked him for an itemized cost list. He responded saying what did I mean by itemized? I explained to him what that meant and that he should know what it means. Any business that is reputable knows what an itemized estimate is. Well then he writes me back saying that they have decide to pass on the job. I for one will not be doing business with them. As for anyone else ,THE CHOICE IS UP TO YOU.I would like to be clear that Eric himself only answered the questions that I ask of him. He said that giving an itemized estimate is something that his company just does not do. Which if true would not be on him but would fall to whoever is in charge of Lone Star roofing systems. This being said I still stand behind what I said about being cautious when a business will not give you an itemized estimate. So the company never has done any work for me. Nothing to complain about as far as the job they may do. Just unwilling to give me what I ask for which is a right of every consumer.

  2 times they've no-call-no-showed on times THEY gave for appointments for an estimate. The first excuse was they were busier than expected after a recent hail storm, but that didn't stop them from setting another appointment time and again not showing-up instead of just acknowledging they were behind and it would be a few days before they could come out.

  I hired this company to do multiple houses for me. I had leaks and issues in nearly EVERY single one. The crews didn’t show up half the time when they were scheduled to, and the work was extremely sub par when they did. Everytime we called in with a roof leak, they would push the blame off on someone else so they wouldn’t have to pay for the damage done inside. As a contractor I have used roofing crews all across central and east Texas. I have NEVER had anywhere near the problems I have had with this company. Even after I hired private inspectors to prove they were at fault, they refused to pay. Highly suggest staying away!

  One star is too many. Was trying to be cautious because of other reviews I've read here . . . so was pleased that initial contact was Daddy Kurt not Kurtis the Son. They showed up together for the estimate. Talked a good game. Daddy seems to know his stuff. Kurtis is along for the ride. Talked about all the great stuff they would do. Kurtis takes over after they leave - never hear from daddy again. The proposal for a week's work seems steep but they are doing a lot. The problem is the proposal is 2 pages of legalese and 3 lines of what they agree to do. I sent it back to sonny boy for more detail, including a plot plan of the gutters they're to install. Takes a couple of days but I feel like I caught the issue. I didn't. They talked about 6" gutters for an hour when here then had 5" gutters installed. I didn't catch that their EXTREMELY generic proposal didn't specify size. I didn't know there was option because NOTHING else was discussed. They said they'd be there one week but they didn't show up until the next week. Only 2 days worth of work so their "estimate" was greatly inflated. They made a very healthy profit off of me on this job. Cheated me fair and square. Hope they enjoy it because it can only happen once. . . I'd never call them again nor would I recommend them to anybody for anything. Too bad for daddy that sonny boy will drive the business into the ground. Repeat business is not in the cards when you treat customers so poorly. A real shame too. The workers did a fine job. Since a handshake is a sign of mutual respect between men, sonny boy just had to drive off pouting. They are not welcome on my property.

  Never do business with them the whole staff lies and they are not reliable I would not recommend anyone do business with them

  The whole Lone - Star team was efficient, effective with a driven mindset. The project manager CJ Ruiz was clearly communicating with us from the beginning of the work until it ended. I will recommend this company to our community neighbors and other people are willing to replace their roofs. A way to go CJ Ruiz!!!

  DJ and his crew did a great job. Very attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend DJ and LoneStar to anyone needing any sorts of roofing repair / replacements. Crew was kind and accommodating, and finished in a timely manner and left area better than found.

  Huge shoutout to Gus for the amazing job on my roof! His customer service was top-notch—super friendly, incredibly helpful, and very efficient. He made the whole repair process completely stress-free. If you need your roof fixed right, ask for Gus!

  Lone Star Roof Systems did an outstanding job on our new roof. After getting four estimates, we’re very glad we chose them. Mark took the time to understand our situation, educate us on our options, and recommend the best solution rather than simply trying to sell us a roof. Their pricing was competitive and communication and follow-up were excellent throughout the process. Our project manager, Wilson, was also great to work with—very responsive and communicative before, during, and after the job. The installation crew was a skilled family team that worked efficiently and completed the roof flawlessly in a single day. They also took great care protecting our landscape and pool and left the property spotless after a thorough cleanup. I highly recommend Lone Star Roof Systems.

  Lone Star Roofing is fantastic. They are knowledgeable and have excellent customer service. I have worked with Caton on three roofs now. I do not believe that I’ve ever met anyone who has provided such thorough service as he does not only does he communicate with you all the way through the job. He hires trusted cruise that have been with him for ages and he goes on site to make sure the job is done just right. Too bad they don’t have six stars on this review!

  I can’t say enough good things about Lone-Star Roof Systems. We’re new to the area, and while they weren’t the first company to evaluate our metal roofing issues, they were the last, and our go-to for any future roofing needs. Before finding Lone Star, we received several inflated bids from other companies trying to upsell unnecessary work. A neighbor recommended Lone Star, so I decided to give them a call and from the very start, they stood out. They were honest, straightforward, and provided multiple options that addressed both our short-term and long-term needs. Their estimate was fair, they showed up exactly when they said they would, and they followed up multiple times afterward to ensure their work held up through recent storms. The owner, staff, and crew were all respectful, professional, and careful with our property throughout the process. Don’t make the same mistake I did, skip the others and make Lone Star Roofing your first call.

They've been re-roofing some of my properties and from start to finish, the entire process is seamless. His communication is outstanding, he keeps me informed every step of the way with photos, answers all of my questions promptly, and makes sure I understand exactly what to expect. The quality of their work is outstanding. The crew is always punctual, professional, and detail-oriented.   The team there is willing to fix problems. We had a warranty issue with our roof that initially caused some back and forth. The management stepped in and made it right. Thank you to the team there for understanding that sometimes when things go wrong that you step in to make it right.

  Believe me, Lone-Star Roof will be your BEST choice! I highly recommend working with Gustavo—he is responsible, prompt, and easy to communicate with. I received quotes from several companies. While most salespeople only used drones to inspect my roof, Lone-Star Roof did that and Gus personally climbed onto the roof to check every detail. He recommended high–cost-effective products, patiently explained all the materials, and responded quickly and clearly to every text and call. He sent me a detailed quote within one day and delivered exactly what he promised. The entire process—from signing the contract to scheduling county inspections and communicating with my renters—was smooth under his supervision. The Lone-Star Roof crew was professional, punctual, and courteous. They worked hard and quietly, completing the job in just one day with great attention to detail. The next day, they returned for a touch-up and thoroughly cleaned the site with a metal detector. I’m extremely happy with the result, and even my neighbors were impressed with their work. Many thanks to Gus and the entire Lone-Star Roof team!

  I hired Lone-Star Roof Systems for roof repair (after my plumber realizing that the water heater roof vent was leaking water into the attic). While I had just started looking for a contractor for the repair, Garrett knocked on my door randomly (wearing his company shirt while the crew was doing a nearby roof). Normally I don't answer the door, but I took a chance and asked him to bid on the repair. He arranged for a team to return for a complete inspection. This is a 3-story townhouse so the inspection is also a project with a giant ladder. (The other inspections/bids I got were from only drone and attic inspection and I did not get the same level of detail - that's why I chose Lone-Star for the repair.) Once I accepted the written bid (with photos/plans) we chose a day the following week for the repair. The team arrived today and got right to work. Throughout the repair this morning, they sent me photos and updates of how things were going. This company's teamwork and communication is stellar. Garrett, Gustavo, and the team completed the repair this morning! It is hard enough to trust someone with a repair, let alone on a 3-story house. The detailed documentation gives me the confidence to know that the leaking vent (and other issues) are resolved for the summer storms and the drama that is Houston's weather.
