I did not call or authorize anyone from Lon Smith Roofing to get on my roof. It was clearly a wrong-address situation, and I understand that mistakes happen. However, if they had simply left a business card and a note saying, "We apologize, …

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for both the address mix-up and, more importantly, our failure to communicate with you after it occurred. After reading your review, we completely understand your frustration. While the wrong-address inspection was an honest mistake, you are absolutely correct that a simple note, business card, or direct communication explaining what happened should have been provided. Had we done that, much of the confusion and concern could have been avoided. Instead, you were left trying to piece together what had happened on your own by reviewing camera footage, contacting our office, and seeking answers yourself. That is not the experience we want anyone to have, and we understand why it felt unsettling to have someone on your property without authorization and then receive no explanation afterward. We appreciate your willingness to acknowledge that mistakes can happen. As you pointed out, the issue was not simply the error itself but our lack of communication and accountability in responding to it. We take that feedback seriously and are reviewing our procedures with our team to ensure that if a situation like this ever occurs again, the homeowner is notified immediately and appropriately. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We regret the frustration and inconvenience this caused and appreciate the opportunity to learn from it and improve.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience this caused. You set aside time for a scheduled appointment and deserved timely communication regarding any change to those plans. Regardless of the reason, we understand how disappointing it is to be waiting for an appointment and not receive an update beforehand. We agree that we should have communicated more effectively. After learning of the issue, our salesperson made multiple attempts to reach you and left voicemails, as we genuinely wanted the opportunity to apologize and make things right. However, we recognize that those efforts came after the fact and do not change the frustration you experienced that morning. At Lon Smith Roofing, we strive to provide a professional experience from the very first interaction, and in this case, we fell short of our own standards. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as feedback like yours helps us improve our communication processes and better serve our customers in the future. Thank you again for your honest feedback.

I contacted this company on August 15th to request a roof inspection. I was told the inspector would be notified and that I would receive a call to schedule the appointment. By August 22nd—seven days later—I still had not heard from anyone, so I followed up with the office. The representative I spoke with said she saw nothing on her end but would pass my message along to the inspector, who would call me back. Another week passed with no response. When I called again, I received the same explanation—that she would reach out to the inspector. When I expressed concern about repeatedly receiving the same answer without any follow-up, the representative became rude and condescending, frequently interrupting me and responding dismissively with, “Like I said,” instead of allowing me to explain my concern. This is unacceptable customer service. By the end of the call, I requested that the inspection be canceled. I will not work with a company that treats its customers this way and will take my business elsewhere for all of my commercial properties in the Fort Worth area.

Lon Smith Roofing has put two and one half roofs on our house since 1995. The last full replacement about 7 years ago. We had one leak around the chimney flashing which they took care of. We found a possible leak around a roof vent, they gave us a price to repair, however I delayed because I was not convinced that was the source of our water damage. We have now found a couple other roof vents that are leaking and causing damage. I've left multiple messages about having all the roof vents inspected and resealed. I have not received any call backs. I guess they are too bust with new people to service their long time customers.

I had Caleb Prescott out on Thursday and was told I would be receiving my quote by the end of the day. I haven’t heard or seen anything from this gentleman. Kind of makes me feel pushed off. I think I’ll take my business somewhere else. Thank you.

The Best company to work with! Chris Janecka was our inspector/estimator and he was wonderful to work with! Having a horse ranch our priority is the safety of the horses. Chris and the crew were very diligent at ensuring no nails were left on the ground. They meticulously covered the ground with tarps and cleaned every piece of debris up! I was in shock by the professionalism of the entire staff! It is rare to find a company that treats your property like it’s their own and Chris and the crew absolutely did that! I cannot brag enough about my experience with this company! Customer service is alive and well at Lon Smith Roofing! We will be customers for life! Thank you Lon Smith Roofing for the great job and treating us like family!

We had a fairly complex patio roof covering to be replaced with decking that had to be removed and reinstalled, and Jeremy Nelson and his team did a great job. The work was completed timely and with a team of true craftsmen.

Lon Smith is the ONLY people I let on my roof...PERIOD! They did a fantastic job in 2016, So when hailmageddon hit Southeast Fort Worth on 6/1/25 and destroyed my roof, I called Lon Smith first, my inurance company second. Lon Smith has lived up to their reputation both times I used them. Their prices are fair, staff are professional, and kept me informed every step of the way, and quality installatio! Alan was awesome in dealing with my insurance company; Jake was an awesome project manager and made sure the few very minor corrections were resolved promptly.Ashley kept me in informed throughout the process. I am very pleased with their service. I even had Jake leave the sign in my yard for a couple of weeks after the roof was in stalled to 1) keep the door-to-door roofers (and I use that term loosely) at bay, but mostly 2) so everyone would know who installed my beautiful roof!

I had a small roof leak and another roofing company told me to let it get bigger and then call insurance! I could not do that so I called Lon Smith Roofing and Jeremy Nelson called the same day and came out the next day to inspect my roof and actually re caulked and replaced some nails on the roof — no charge! And said that I should call if any other problems. He also said that a homeowner needs to repair the small leaks when found or the insurance will consider that negligence. What a GREAT company!
