  Do not let these guys into your neighborhoods. This truck had their flood lights on and tailed me through my street. He followed me into our gated community. Horrible driver.

  So I read these glowing reviews and I wonder what happened to my experience. I had issues with my Insurance company who stated they would not cover the roof replacement from shingles blowing off of one slope. This is the third issue with my roof since building the house (thank you, MI Homes). USAA pushes back and states the "needed repairs" to my roof are under $1000 (my deductible), so I should repair the shingles myself or contract a roofing company. I thought USAA was a good insurance company until I needed to make a claim. That was in the first week of November 2023. During my removal and replacement of shingles, I found out shingles went through a standardization after my home was built in 2015. My shingles were of the old standard. This prompted me to call local roofing companies and the first one to respond was Life Roofing. On November 16 Tabitha contacted me and was extremely helpful. She contacted Bengy to come out and inspect my roof. He came out promptly and evaluated my needs. He took a shingle to consult with ITEL and determine if my shingle is still available. He also arranged for an emergency tarp for my roof. Great service to start and we discussed next steps. It is now mid-March 2024 and I am the one who had to keep calling and trying to get some information on my case. I feel like the company has ghosted me. I called the company several times in early January and nothing. No return call, no response to my VMs. I then texted both Bengy and Tabitha in Mid-January. I received a response. My shingles were apparently still available, BUT they wanted to wait and see if the stock could be depleted so they could replace my entire roof. I wanted the roof to be repaired as I expected my roof to have a future issues and can use this incident as an example of the poor roof conditions and it needs replacing. In talking with Tabitha, I requested for a quote to be sent for repairing the roof and explained my reasons for the request. That

  We had a hailstorm a few months back, and Bengy, Tabitha, and their crew were amazing from the start.   Life Roofing literally saved our life yesterday!! We had a small patch of shingles missing that was causing a leak. I reached out in the morning and they were there by the afternoon with it all fixed up before another round of rain came. They were very professional and helpful. I definitely recommend!!

  Bengy not only spent the time to explain what items I should claim, he came back and walked through them when the adjuster was here. Help me get the highest possible adjustment on roof, fence, and misc. Did a good job with the new roof install. No leaks. My neighbor used another contractor who advertised heavily on TV. So far they have come back 4 times for leaks. They have had to fix sheet rock damage twice in his living room. Oh, Life Roofing clean up was the best.

Storm Wind Damage on a Brick Home in the Austin Area That Could Not Wait Severe wind events in Central Texas can peel shingles off a roof in patches, leaving decking exposed before the storm has even passed. When that happens on a hip roof over a brick home, the damage tends to concentrate near the ridge and along the edges where uplift pressure is highest. Tarping exposed sections correctly right after the storm matters because even a single overnight rain event can push water into the decking, the attic insulation, and eventually the ceiling below. Getting a tarp set properly is not a permanent fix, but it is the difference between a roof replacement and a roof replacement plus interior water damage repairs. Once conditions allow a full inspection, the scope becomes clearer. Wind damage on a roof like this often looks worse from the ground than it measures on paper, but the opposite is also true, shingles that appear intact can have broken seals that will not hold through the next storm.
