  Last year I requested a quote, and Mr. Bourgeois made a $2,000 mistake (underestimating the price). He came back with the correct price, having forgotten he had already submitted his quote. After discussing it, I told him I would accept his new quote; after all, people aren't in business to lose money. He replied that he would honor his first quote despite the numerous opportunities I gave him to increase his price. I contacted him at the end of January because I wanted to ensure the work was done at the beginning of the season. He was supposed to do the work at the end of April, but he delayed it until July and then ignored me. As a result, my roof wasn't replaced last year, and I have to go through the process again this year (NOT WITH THEM, OF COURSE).

  I signed a contract with him, but he never showed up. He kept postponing the date… and eventually, he stopped even replying to my texts and calling me. I had signed the contract, and a month later, his prices increased. I still have my contract and text exchanges with him as proof. Completely unreliable.

  5 houses on my street all arranged to have the shingles replaced with Les Toitures E Bourgeois Inc. We all signed contracts agreeing to the same cost to do the work as all the houses are identical. Before work began we enquired about changing from the original colour we had chosen to black but were told all the Shingles were ordered in bulk so we couldn't change the colour, which is fair. Les Toitures E Bourgeois Inc then replaced the shingles on the first 3 houses at the agreed price. When time came to begin ours and our neighbor's however they were demanding an additional $1500 before they would start the work! regardless of the fact that we had a signed contract from them stating the exact cost previously. They explained that the costs had gone up and that the previous houses had agreed to the increased price. I asked our neighbor's if they had paid anything over the contracted price and they said they hadn't. Also why would the price going up make any difference for the last two houses as they had stated previously that we couldn't change colour because all shingles were ordered in bulk. Since we had a contract signed only a month previously I fail to see how they can break the contract for such a reason since I am sure that had the prices of the Shingles gone down Les Toitures E Bourgeois Inc would certainly not be passing those savings on to us! Avoid this company!

  He was supposed to come and look at my roof the next day at 1 p.m., but he never showed up and didn't call back. So unreliable from the start, he'll never touch my roof.

  He gave me a quote on the phone, it was $$$$ including tax. And we called multiple times to request an electric quote file, several weeks later we finally got the file, but the price was increased to $$$$ +1000$ plus tax. he told me I misunderstood on the phone about the price. but I don't think so, i mean how hard it could be to understand the price.

  Unreliable service. We made an appointment for a leak that our pre-purchase home inspector suggested we repair. My husband called to schedule the appointment for two days later. Half an hour before the appointment, Mr. Bourgeois called to say he had been called away for an emergency appointment and wouldn't be able to make it (my husband, the previous owners, and I had taken the afternoon off work for the appointment). He asked us to reschedule for the next day (Saturday). My husband asked if the same thing would happen again and was reassured that it wouldn't. Saturday came and went, Mr. Bourgeois never showed up, and there was no answer on his phone after we left a voicemail, a text message, and several other calls. We are very disappointed.
